Respected Congress, I would like to reach out to you while feeling the pain and stress of this EB3 backlog which is not just for me but 28000 other applicants. Lot of us have been waiting for more than 10 to 12 years and we don't know why. If the system is broken, why are immigrants being penalized for it. In 2007, EB3 was made current and due to overwhelming no of applications, USCIS changed it back to where it was and since 8 years we have been waiting for our file to be current. President has been working on saving 5 million illegal immigrants and granting them some relief so that they can stay here in USA. We are paying regular taxes since years without violation of any laws but still struggling and dealing with some routine challenges like job changes, changing field completely, travelling outside the country and lot of other issues. Why can't Congress step in clear this. I am aware that there is lot of focus needed to amend the laws for future but why are we waiting? Do you think 10 to 12 years are not enough. We have our kids grown up now looking at us struggling for permanent residence while they are already citizens of USA. Please try to work on this and clear it as soon as possible so that we can plan our future. This is not just for our benefit but also in favour of national interest. Lot of us are potential enterpreneurs and would be able to add few jobs. In addition, lot of people already have EAD's and they just keep renewing it every other year. We lose money for no reason filing for Work permits and Advance Parole for travel outside USA. Please accept our requests and I hope you consider it and try to clear the backlogs as soona as possible.

Esteemed Congress, I just wish to put forward my case in expediting the employment based green card process. First of all, I want to take this opportunity to thank the congress for passing the H4-EAD rule which comes as a great relief to me because my wife is a doctor and now she would be able to work. This would also help the US in terms of productivity and retaining the talent and skills that we both possess and I am sure there are many other like me. Having said that, green card is still the biggest hurdle that has the potential to stifle / derail my career. I worked at a start up company and applied for Green Card through EB2 NIW which was approved. The company shutdown and everyone was laid off. Since mine is a specialty occupation the suitable positions are hard to come by and most employers are not willing to sponsor H1-B. This has really affected my job search and am planning to go back. I could have really avoided all the stress, anxiety and panic had I received my Green card if the priority dates were current. There are many other individuals like me that are in the similar situation as me. Therefore I request you to reassess the green card process and consider all the options that could ease the backlog. It would not only help advance the national interest of the US but also affect the well being of the individuals. Many Thanks Best Regards

This is a major roadblock for high skilled immigrant worker who considers to make US as a home. High skilled workers help build the economy of this nation. Their legitimate issues needs to be address by the congress.

The bright and young potential when they enter USA have high hopes of making this great country as their new home. The nourish the dream of doing great things for this society in the name of innovative technology, achievements in the many technical and non-technical fields. These all remain dreams and never materialized due to the restrictions in the immigration process and time it takes to realize into a Green Card. By the time it materializes (10-15 years) the young is now either sucked into other priorities or leave the country for a better place where their talents are recognized and welcomed. It is a Lose-Lose situation for both the country and the talents. I completely support this petition to improve the immigration process for a faster turn around in getting Green Card.

in the age of technology where a country's supremacy depends on where it stand with its technological capability i see US restricting high skilled labor. Two ways to be out there, built home grown talent else import. US is doing its part in growing the talent, takes 15 more years to be there. how about these 15 years. lets be smart. its a win win.

The duration of time it takes to move from I-140 to EAD and green card for EB2 India is so long that during this period careers evolve and it becomes imperative to seek change in employment to live up to potential. But the lack of portability means that if we change employers in between we lose our i140 and need to re-apply! Now with the new rules our spouses EAD and careers are tied to our i140. So it is just going to be immensely helpful if portability becomes easy during the time when we are waiting for GC and further processes. Currently we spend roughly 20% of our productive youth in the quest of GC, and being stuck in a job/ role only so that other things in life stay stable, when really we are skilled to achieve much much more!

Kindly vote and expedite the Green Card process for employment based category. No other country has such a slow process and very long wait-time to get permanent residency. USA (Country of Immigrants) should definitely look to provide Legal immigrants a better life by providing them confidence, assurance, stability and opportunity to grow and contribute towards prosperity.

In the interest of fairness and justice, fix the immigration system. Please do not penalize the immigrants based on country of origin with quota, we immigrate more and help the economy.

Legal immigrants (especially H1B who have approved I-140 and stays here for long years) need a better life in USA for them to grow. Hands are tied and cannot move to jobs even after I-140 approved and still have to wait for long years to get the priority date to current. i have been waiting for my ead more than 5 years in eb2 cateogry. Please help us to provide EAD/portable to move better preferred job roles and ease the back logs of getting the GC in a reasonable time frame ( 1-2 years ). We have lot of innovative ideas, so that we can create jobs in usa and helping communities as well, that way every individual will grow as well as country will grow. Thank you very much!!!
