There is a long wait for Green Card for EB Category because of the way the 35 yr old system works. this is impacting the people who come from most popular countries where they have high number of people entering into a G.C queue and when the actual numbers are allocated for G.C there wait times are more than 3 or 4 decades. so if a person is coming from highly demanding country like India,China, Mexico or Philippines they wait for that long to get their G.C. For example if a person is coming with Bachelor degree from Greenland, his wait time is 3 years to 5 years max in EB3, however a person coming from highly demanding countries with similar qualification in EB3 his wait time is 40 to 50 years, this can be proved from visa bulletin. so our quality of life is impacted by this issue, I request for better resolution which provides Fairness in the system so everyone gets G.C in a reasonable time. There is a bill which is H.R.213 which address this issue. please help us.

Please help clear this long awaited backlog for employment based category. Most petitioners from India under EB2 and EB3 are waiting for more than 15 years. Should it take that long for a person and his/her dependents to seek green card? The system was designed a while back and does not work in this age. There are several proposals being made to resolve this backlog, i.e. visa recapture, eliminate country limit, remove dependents from visa count. Please take action as this is the time now to make things right. Thank You.

Skill sets are not evaluated based on country we come from, let this be transparent for permanent residency rules as well !!

Extremely long waits for Employment based green cards has been a serious issue for the immigrant community. This issue has been keeping immigrants tied to employers, jobs and locations. This affects quality of life for the whole family. I believe it would be reasonable and fair to let immigrants with an approved I-140 petition to be able to apply for I-485 even when the dates are not current so they can switch jobs and travel more freely to their home countries. Most of the immigrants with an approved I-140 petition have been living in this great country for a long time and making a significant contribution to their communities and economy. Its only fair that such law abiding immigrants be given some flexibility in terms of their green card process.
