clearing backlog for the skilled professional having I-140 approved will streamline the immigration process and minimize the hardship faced by skilled immigrants.

I am in this country from almost 15 years..still waiting for Green Card...I have to spent around $1600 for EAD and AP in every two years, I have to renew my Driver licence in every two year. I cannot invest or do anything except stick with my employer who can get 30% of my hard earning, as USCIS may send me letter to pack up within 15 days.. and USCIS keep sending RFE for every dam thing, why USCIS not looking their own database... God Bless America...

Applied under EB3 in Aug 2005. Still waiting for my GC. It is very cumbersome to exit and enter this county (even for vacation) and its really hard to switch jobs. Keeping 16 years of backlog shows the incapability.

I have been here for 13 years, still waiting for that all elusive green card. paid my share of taxes and I see I am being penalized due to my country of origin. Request you to clear EB backlogs for Indians at the earliest. This is not the way US should treat skilled immigrants just because they were born in a certain country.

My priority date is April04. According to current statistics, I might get GC after 9years. I am paying all kinds of taxes to nation to support illegals. In spite of my son will be treated as International Student in college. Does sound logical and ethical?

I could not advance to higher studies for a simple reason, person with green card is preferred over me, even though I am well qualified with better credentials. 'A single paper should not dictate my future, this is modern day racism'.

It is not ethical to give such hard time for professionals living legally in the US and paying high taxes. They don't understand how it impacts education and eligibility to work for our children

The country-based green card bias has become intolerable for people from India and China, stretching years and years, maybe decades beyond other nationalities. Please sign up to end this extreme imbalance.

According to me, the main reasons for everybody to get a green card are: 1. Switch Jobs 2. Travel to India without any issue 3. The most important one is, getting an EAD for your Spouse (Which could be an issue for senators to oppose green card on the basis that this will cause reduction in available jobs to US Citizens) Recently after the approval of H4 EAD, I think the 3rd point should not be a problem so why not just give EAD to all the pending Green Card applications so that we can easily switch jobs, travel to India and invest our money wisely either in the US or India.
