Over looking what mother of.the child makes working , And at the time of helping her put.her through college when we were married. Never consider by DCS. I am a self employed gardener avg income around 13000 She got a BA in school adm. make around 150000. . I am having a hard time due to theft .couldn't pay support or even a place to live suspended my license. I have been going through the upsame and downs of child support taking my license occupational and driver, for a child that is not mine proved by DNA test the state of California does not care how in the hell can I resolve this situation that has created turmoil and hardship to me and me family,credit bad due to this and relationships had failed all due to these involuntary crim all act by the state of California, the mother of the child should be jailed and al herl licenses should be suspended and credit destroyed...help!REPORT COMMENTS

They took my licence back in 1983 for a kid that wasn't even mine. I had been out of California for 5 years and in that time some heron addict prostitute who I think found a wallet I had lost used my name to collect food stamps and somehow got a child support order. I knew nothing about it until I got back to CA I had been out of state for 5 years and they suspended my DL. she managed to collect money from the state for about a year before I showed up and she skipped town. I immediately demanded a blood test and the girl skipped town. I hired a PI to find her and he did in Florida but took off again. It's a game some women play to collect money. Turns out the state was collecting child support from 3 different men for the same child. What a crock of crap. Now my current wife who I've been with for 27 years and who is the love of my life has walked out the door because of it moved out and left me stuck with a rented house and 27 years worth of marriage and memories. Someone I don't even know has literally destroyed my life.REPORT COMMENTS

This law needs to be revoked !! Due to the hardships of life as we all know some people have families and need to take care of them . I myself lost my job of 9 years due to shutting down of business and loss everything I had, I asked for a court hearing and nothing was ever responded to me. So they took my lisence and now that I have a job again after just a month of working they garnish my wages but can't release the lisence to me... So how am I suppose to go to work without feeling like I'm driving unlawfully !REPORT COMMENTS

Recently got my daughter back and am helping two of my children get through college although my absence was temporary due to housing laws as well as child support laws I'm having qthe hardest time trying to be the single mom I've always been now with a teen in and out of hospitals, no licence , no job because my work requires me to have a car life couldn't be harder and their dead beat fathers who don't even call them are worry free on welfare with the fourth or fifth child on the way.....REPORT COMMENTS

I have some health problem is that it made it hard for me to want to work for the last five years Since I'm not officially disabled , I am in a in between place where this child support license law has affected me greatly. I've been trying to get back to work but not having a license makes it harder. If I had my license right now , I could start driving for Uber but in order do you have my license released the child support agency requires a full payment which I do not have . I think this law needs to be repealed because it does not help people get back to work but instead hinders them. Especially in situations like mine when people are struggling with health issues. They are already battling these health issues and it doesn't make sense to have their license taken away making it harder for them to get back to work and pay their child support. Taking away a man's children and top it off with payments to someone who won't work with you on being in the kids life and take away his ability to drive if he hasn't paid. I paid $4800 I owed nothing after that... I moved to cali from mo I wasn't working for about a year... I missed 3 payments I owned less than $900.. they suspended my licence and then mo put a stay on it..meaning I can drive.. well cali suspended my licence and I showed them the papers mo, nope that's not gunna work... dude this is my 2nd job I'm gunna have to quit... how can I work if I can't drive.. If you have been paying your support for 6 years without issue, and run into a unexpected difficulty. A matter that you have no control over but totally a issue with a lay off or reduction of work hours and CA unemployment takes weeks to start. You make partial payments during this time frame but still within 60 days or less. Child Support Services has issued a Driver Lincense Suppension. Now you not have to pay the balance but the County reinstatment fees and DMV fees. Regardless if you may have spent more time with your child because your schedule now permitted you to be more available to parent more.
