I have my H4 visa and if EAD goes away I won't be able to work and contribute. This is request not to take away H4 EAD.REPORT COMMENTS

Please do not revoke H4ead, I have Master Degree from USA and I moved from student Visa to H4ead and have been contributing to the economy and science technology for USA. I have been a honest resident in this country without any violation of Laws and taxes, there are lot of people like me who will loose this opportunity. It is inhuman to take away H-4 spouse's freedom.REPORT COMMENTS

In the first place, H4 EAD was introduced to make future citizens feel independent and competent. We go through normal interview process and compete with everybody else before companies hire us. Only the best will survive in this competitive world. Talented people competing with each other will only help better the economy and the country.REPORT COMMENTS

H4 EAD is result of a long wait by highly skilled professionals, sitting at home waiting for their chance to prove that they are capable of something. Both women and men spouses have proven to be highly aimicable and contributing to the economy of United States. For example: A man with H4 EAD has worked as a political campaign strategist and also contributed significantly to the current Republican Party during the elections, proving that there are more talented and hardworking individuals, who are not recognized, just because they are not allowed to work. I think USA would miss some great minds at work if they would revoke this rule.REPORT COMMENTS

This rule was introduced for High-Skilled workers "waiting in decade long lines" to get their Green Card and not for every h1b spouse. These are the legal people who are paying tax, revoking their rights to work is no good for anyone.REPORT COMMENTS

Do not remove this rule. Companies are smart enough to hire the right candidate with the right talent and if they can find US citizen then they won't go for H4 candidate. H4 candidates are not stealing US citizen jobs in any way. In fact, it's helping US economy. If this rule is revoked, so many good candidates will lose the opportunities and even companies will have hard time in finding the good talent.REPORT COMMENTS

This rule was introduced for only people "waiting in decade long lines" and not for every h1b spouse. There is a logical reason behind this rule. This category is unfairly being targeted as opposed to some of the other EAD categories because of the general opposition for H1B. In-stead of completely removing the rule it can be modified to have certain criteria like 1. US masters degree requirement. 2. Working only in your field of study.REPORT COMMENTS

Before revoking H4-EAD we need to take a step back and understand why it was introduced, it was introduced to enable "Future citizens" to be competent. All the people who got H4-EAD are in-line for their Permanent Residency and hence Citizenship. They have same respect on this great country as anyone else, their Kids are born here. They are paying taxes and actively contributing to the economy. Now, lets say, if it is revoked then they would be job less and would be out of the market until their spouses gain Permanent Residency, in this ever changing world if someone is out of job for a considerable amount of time, it would be very difficult to start again, even if they start they will start from Level 1. So, what are we gaining after removing people from active workforce, especially engineers from workforce? More over it is affecting only people from few countries, isn't it discriminatory for a category like Job based, where the preference has to be based on the skillet than Country of birth? To put it simple, with all due respect it feels like giving preference to Biological child than a legally adopted child.REPORT COMMENTS

I am very confused with what purpose does rescind/canceling H4 EAD serve. They are given to future LPRs and serves a bridge to get dependents productive and contribute to the economy primarily cause the path to GC for folks of certain nationalities is way too long. To the fact that they take away "more" jobs, again it is given to someone who eventually will have the right to work in the future. To the fact that they incentivize temp workers to stay back, there has to be a legit immigration petition for the primary to be in place to secure H4 EAD. To the fact that it promotes fake resume-based hiring, it should be the hiring entities prerogative to screen candidates wisely. Fake and deception are morally wrong and statutorily unlawful in all spheres of life. Rescinding this rule won't solve that issue but rather push it out to some later point in time.REPORT COMMENTS
