I was diagnosed recently with PTSD and numerous other ailments after I was honorably discharged from the military. right now I'm currently going to school full-time and cannot used my GI Bill for classes to surface a newer career goal. Why ! I'm Just stuck with loans and cannot understand why my GI Bill is not honored . Due to full time job and family, I was unable to start college 1 year after my gi bill expired. Now I'm stuck with over 70k in school loans that I cant pay back. Wasn't able to get job in my field. These benefits should not expire. Now I see they have the post 911 gi bill, but that does not help people that owe school loans because of an expired gi bill. Just isn't fair.REPORT COMMENTS

I had the same exact thing happen to myself. I do not think that the GI Bill should ever expire for a Veteran. If the Veterans pay the initial amount, that should be at least a partial guarantee. Thew now know there is a problem with education and military.REPORT COMMENTS
