I was active duty from July 1992-July1995, and inactive reserve status until 2000. I tried to use my GI Bill and Army College Fund immediately after discharge. I had moved once or twice so my payments did not get to me until at least a year after I took my classes. I could not afford to stay in school. Finally, in January 2011, I was able to return to school. My GI Bill has expired. I feel disconnected from and disappointed by the military because of this. I am thankful that I qualify for some federal and state grants, but really, I think my GI Bill should not have expired. I would love to see this changed.REPORT COMMENTS
