I put my country 1st for 4 years why not put a no time limit on our education. I'm not so sure I support this country like I used to.

I served 6 years and in boot camp when they told us to sign up for the GI Bill I don't remember anyone informing me there was a time limit on the benefits!

My father served in 1968, and currently cannot use his Montgomery GI Bill that HE paid for. It is ridiculous that they didn't even educate people back then on what they're full benefits were. He wants to pass it along to his daughter and cannot.

Military folks sacrifice so much for this country...putting a restriction on how long this benefit is good for is just plain wrong.

I have been out of the military since 2000. When I had to get out of the military it was do to bring a single parent. Once I got out I had to find a job right away to support my children an mother who was stricken with MS. I have had to work and get every dime I could find to survive. I did not have time to attend school. Now 14 years later I am finely able to better my education but no money to attend school. I served 12 years in the Army and now worked for DHS for 14 years. My 10 year period has elapsed. How is that fair.

I was medically discharged in 1991 due to a service connected disability, and due to various circumstances was unable to go back to college until now, and I'm being told that I'm no longer eligible for my GI Bill benefits that I should be entitled to BC I paid into them and never used them!
