My son is paying astronomical amounts of CS while the mother is pregnant again with another man's child and is sitting home while her child is in school and my son is paying for this. He has 50/50 custody and still pays so Much CS that he literally will be making $4. an hour how do we expect people to live on that. He loves his son and wants the best for him and does the best for him unlike his own father who has paid a total of maybe $300. of child support to him in his lifetime and never saw him until he was 18 and he took the initiative to meet his father. Why is it that fathers that don't put anytime or financial support in to their children getting away with this and the fathers that want to be and are in the children's lives get screwed. Something needs to be done about this ASAP or this problem is going to lead to homeless and jobless good working loving fathers and men.REPORT COMMENTS

As a grandmother for more than 20 years, and have 'lost' grandchildren due to the unethical, unfair, and BIAS child support system; it is LONG overdue for change! We are in the 21st century with women having the "right" to say IF they have sex, IF they take birth control, IF they *CHOOSE to have a baby, and IF they *CHOOSE to work!! Women even get the GREATER benefits of legal aid, general financial assistance, and the opportunity to further their education at low cost. CONTRARILY a man has ONLY ONE *CHOICE: IF he wants to have sex ... even with his conniving WIFE who will divorce him within a year of giving birth!! And he certainly has NO RIGHTS IF the woman asserts all of her "rights" as stated!!! In the July 2015 issue of 'Child Support Report' (COMMISSIONER'S VOICE) Deputy Director, Vicki Turetsky, stated: "We have two bedrock VALUES in our program. One is that PARENTS have the fundamental responsibility to support THEIR children. The other is that government has a fundamental RESPONSIBILITY to provide DUE PROCESS and PROCEDURAL FAIRNESS to litigants, particularly to UNREPRESENTED litigants. ... We can increase trust and compliance if we can improve the PERCEPTION of PROCEDURAL FAIRNESS and deliver REAL DUE PROCESS - an opportunity to be HEARD, an order BASED ON EVIDENCE, and REALISTIC DEMANDS to comply. ..." These SOUND like lovely ideals IF they pertained EQUALLY to BOTH PARENTS!!! In our son's case of July 2014, and wasn't decided upon for 5 months in December 2014, NONE OF THESE IDEALS WERE EVIDENT and STILL AREN'T!!! Recently FSD has in fact indicated 'loosing' and NOT FILING his request of modification due to hardship which he submitted in August of 2015 : 7MONTHS AGO!!! Now, they want to reprimand him for THEIR NEGLIGENCE and INCOMPITENCE!!! The fact that they, the women and the system that COMPOUNDS their "rights" ABOVE ALL ELSE INCLUDING THE LETTER OF THE LAW, is CONTRARY to ALL LEGAL, ETHICAL, MORAL, and FAMILY VALUES*!!! **FATHER'S LIVES MATTER** And women's RIGHTS should/CAN afford them EQUAL RESPONSIBILITY IN SUPPORT!!!REPORT COMMENTS

I am paying 460 dollars for a soon to be 13 yr old who does not need day care. I find myself paying extra for my daughters needs to fulfill her endeavors as a child. The system is set up for fathers who care about their children to fail. I don't understand how a system can not show compassion for the man who chooses to help raises his offspring. They do not care of your living situation or job situation as long as the mother is well taken care of. The money is never accounted for or for that matter you are seen as wrong for asking what the funds are being put to use for. Child support in some cases is seen as extra income for the other party to be able to obtain certain treasures in life such as cars, houses, or anything hat pertains to credit. This is why on a credit application they ask for addition income I.e child support, alimony. The Maryland child support law is bias and unfair. They don't take into consideration how much you have the child or what extra you do for the child. In these situations it is the mothers word often times over the fathers and judges seem to be very sympathetic to the mothers of the system. The child support standards need to be restructured to help benefit the child and not viewed as a personal gain of monetary assets.REPORT COMMENTS

I am paying support for a child that lives with me. CSR will not help me with a modification in Georgia, not even the director. They claim to care about the children but from the way they have treated me and my child, I can only assume they are concerned about the numbers.REPORT COMMENTS

With the rising cost of health insurance it should be adjusted also child support is to pay for half of the child's needs not to allow the mother to stay at home because that means it's 100% plus the mother also the mother should have to prove what she used the support for if dads have to pay the moms must show where it goesREPORT COMMENTS

My husband paid child support to his ex when we had 49% custody. He makes minimum wages and had never missed a payment. Well cps stepped in and gave us full custody 99% took close to four months to stop the support all the while being told that even through we have custody she will not have to pay that money back. At this time she had a zero contact order and we had to request a hand signed letter from her stating she was willing to stop the support. Otherwise we would spend the better half of a year in court trying to have it stopped. Why??? Top it off she missed 27 visits in a row no call no show we take her back and ask for support and we were denied because she is on welfare and has had another child. Claimed hardship. Laws need to be changed now.REPORT COMMENTS

My ex has is not capable of getting a degree she has been working on an associates degree for 5 years. She toke me to court and won so she can live with her parents but knows nothing about our son's health nor will she learn. Time after time I have proved that I am a fit parent to take care of our son. So now I am fighting with doctors and schools and others 2 states over. And only get 2 weekends a month to actually hang out with my son . I get Skype but she does not let him be on for more than 5 to 10 min at a day. Show me fair rights.REPORT COMMENTS

The entire child support system needs to be reworked. The current set up is like punishment for men and it's been our experience that female judges treat all fathers like dead beats even though they love and care for their children as much, if not more so than the mothers who automatically get custody because someone back in the 50's decided that the mother was the best choice for raising the children no matter what. It's time to make changes reflecting the changes in women having careers and with the father being just as suitable to be the custodial parent. Maybe then women will stop having babies as a way to get a paycheck while doing nothing. Also I don't believe it would be that difficult for a person receiving child support to have to prove that the money is actually going to the care of the child. Why are these mothers receiving child support able to take fancy vacations and buy brand new cars and basically live the high life while the father paying the support can barely afford to live. Why is it ok for a mother receiving child support to have more babies when ultimately what your saying when you ask for child support is that you can't afford the kids you already have?? What is all this teaching our children?? My mother never received child support from my father, she remarried and raised us without fleecing my father who also remarried and had kids with his new wife.REPORT COMMENTS

I agree no one should have a free ride off the back of someone else especially if they were (irresponsible) in the relationship..we all should be giving a fair chance especailly id they do not have a good or valid reason to put the man on child support..theyre should be a law against people who trick people into conceving a child without there consentREPORT COMMENTS

My husband pays his child support and also provides dental and medical last year the child's mother's oldest daughter started all this trouble telling her mother she needs more child support. We are not rich and we are barely making ends meet. Well she sits at-home and does nothing, then she decides to home school the child another way of getting out of working. The stress is so bad for my husband that he works and works and had lost a lot of weight. Well the child support agency doesn't care even though he pays it faithfully. Where is the Justice for the Father's that pay on time and provide and have to work all the time just to pay the support while the mother does nothing to help. She is lazy and vendictive. These laws have got to change.REPORT COMMENTS

And I also would like to add there should be a law in place that if a father is paying child support he should be allowed to have rights to his child lignite or non ligitamate! Or at least some visitation rights!I myself am having a struggle just to survive do to astronomicly high child support then getting a runaround on ligitamization to get rights just to see my child..but yet they are so quick to punish me when work gets slow and I don't have ended coming in to deduct it..I'm so financially bound up I can't even afford a lawyer.please pass some kind of visitation law for even the non legitimized fathers!!REPORT COMMENTS
