    I am personally affected by the unfair laws towards fathers that are fighting for more visitation while mothers use the children for an upper hand and a tool to hurt good fathers.My ex wife currently makes 12k more than me a year and I make 700$ every two weeks with car notes rent for my new apartment that accommodates my two girls, and she has petitioned for 1000$ dollars a month while I have two work 3 jobs just to survive. While she's living the good life I can barely make ends meet, I have always supported my children financially and emotionally but it's unfair that fathers make so many sacrifices while some women sit back and wait for support that they very rarely spend all on the children if any at all..I believe a change is long over due because in the end it is all about the children right?

    The child support should be pretax with the receiving parent paying tax per their tax bracket. The current rule of after tax child support is unfair on the parent paying the child support.

    Men should not have to pay that much child support to a woman when she have another man living with her which is the father of her other child and don't have him on child support.

    I am a divorced mother of 2. I have a total of 3 step children from subsequent marriages, too. Mine say they never felt like 'children of divorce.' My step-children have not fared nearly so well. In my divorce, I accepted responsibility for earning income, as all adults should do when kids are able to attend pre-school. Still, the state insisted on writing mandatory support into the divorce decree. I get and appreciate that balancing safety net, yet I refused to take one dime. Not once, over the years. Their dad & I agreed--despite hurt; turmoil, confusion and pain--on just 3 things: to keep our childrens' well-being at the forefront, 2) to keep showing up, even if was difficult to be in the presence of the other at first, and 3) that if I needed money, as the primary parent & the one with the lower income, at any time, I could ask and he wouldn't hesitate to help. The men in my life who've not had the luxury of a sense of sanity or maturity with their break-ups have paid dearly. The laws are entirely unjust. The rates in every state I've seen, are, without question, leaving child support payers destitute, and in some cases, literally homeless. The laws are written for the wealthy, and they're too often written without any responsibility left on the other parent. Men, typically loathe conflict of this nature; the laws so confusing and hiring of an attorney too cost prohibitive, leaving them eith agreeing to the ex-spouses insane demands; rationale, or having no clue how to clearly set rational boundaries in court. The results are devastating parents in this county; but most importantly, the real victim of all this is children. Since when is writing off (primarily) fathers in the best interest of children? It isn't, yet the support payment laws and too many people's attitudes reflect that; and our culture reflects the consequences of doing so. It is beyond shameful. When are we going to start demanding change; placing values back where they belong--squarely on welfare of children going through the traumatic transition of their parents' separation.

    Requesting child support from a father you were never married to MUST be linked to giving that father parental rights and visitation, or you shouldn't involve him in supporting you and the child you deny him the rights to raise. I am a single woman, have always supported myself, and strongly feel that women should not be allowed to court order support from men while denying them a role in the childs life, especially if the man desires and will fulfill the role. Laws must be changed to better link child support with visitation in the case of unmarried parents.

    The problem is custodial parents (CP) can court-order and require non-custodial parents (NCP) to pay child support, while simultaneously denying equal parenting rights. This usually occurs when the couple has never been married, not living together, and the mother has sole custody, and unfortunately I have seen one too many cases of this nature. Once the CP requests child support, the NCP should automatically be granted equal parenting rights to the child they are supporting. The parents legally required to support the child should be the same parents legally allowed to raise the child. There are far too many cases of NCP parents paying support while being blocked from the children by the CP denying visitation or engaging in parental alienation. Laws must be established to restrict or absolve NCP parents from child support if the CP refuses a relationship without documented reason (NCP presents a threat to the child or does not want a relationship). I bet a lot of NCP would happily pay their child support if they were also given their natural assumed rights in the process. Laws must be established holding CP more responsible and obligated to the very people they are requesting support from.

    If the law makers are in the best interest in the child. As for the child department of services cashes in fee, some of those fees should go to a ;bank account for the child to state if any abuse is being made by a selfless parent. ;a same day office (same building) drug test :randomized interviews with children in there homes and schools without notice ;

    JOIN FREE: Federal Class Action for U.S. Child Custody Victims - Friends, I just joined CAPRA as one of the lead plaintiffs in an upcoming landmark federal class action lawsuit against all 50 States and the Federal Government, because I qualify as: (1) a biological parent whose child custody was unconstitutionally removed without due process; and, (2) I have been directly impacted by that during the last four years, i.e., within the statute of limitations. This class action is on behalf of *both* types of "family court" -- for wrongful victims of divorce-and-similar-with-kids *and* for wrongful victims of child protection services -- and includes suing on behalf of ANY parent affected by either "family court" type. It's totally free to join, and the federal court relief being demanded includes the full restoral of my child custody rights under law, plus a nice share of the large amount in civil damages expected. Check it out! It just requires entering someone's referral Code to join, so PLEASE use mine - 42085JL619 - in the CAPRA registration form, located on the bottom of the homepage at http://parentalrightsclassaction.com Plus, check out their power-packed Legal Tips page for all parents fighting family court, too -- Wow!! Thanks!!

    I was divorced in 1992 in Ohio. In 1993 my ex moved to Arizona with her new husband and my 5 year old son. In 1994 I moved to Arizona so I could be involved in my sons life and see him. The corrupt Cuyahoga CSEA told us they could no longer enforce the child support order since we both now lived in AZ. I began paying my ex directly. In 2000 the corrupt Cuyahoga CSEA sent me a letter saying I owed back support. My ex sent a certified, notarized letter, (at my request), to the corrupt Cuyahoga CSEA explaining that I was paying her directly since they said they couldn't be involved, I was paid up to date, and this letter was written confirmation, (as per our divorce agreement), that she no longer needed the corrupt Cuyahoga CSEAs services. In 2005, (a few months before my son turned 18), the corrupt Cuyahoga CSEA began all the "child support" I had already paid. Whepaidn I asked about the notarized letter my ex sent stating I was paying her directly, the corrupt Cuyahoga CSEA told me that "since no Judge ever signed off on it they considered the letter to be invalid." (Since when does a Judge have to sign off on a notarized letter for it to be valid?). The corrupt Cuyahoga CSEA has since ignored or blocked every attempt I've made to resolve this. They continue to steal $400/mo and send it to my ex. She and her Phoenix PD husband continue to spend it and lie to Ohio to keep it coming. It's almost paid off now. When all is said and done I will have paid over $25,000 more than the Judge ordered me to pay in 1992. The corrupt Cuyahoga CSEA and the Ohio Attorney General's Office have both openly acknowledged that they know I paid the money. They just suddenly decided in 2005 that all that money I paid was "a gift." They are ok saying I blew off paying $25,000 in "child support" but instead paid my ex and her lying thief Phoenix PD husband a $25,000 "gift" all those years. That apparently makes sense in Ohio, the 5th most corrupt state in the union.

    I have yet to get in front of a Massachussetts judge that has common sense, empathy, and is a realist . The worcester county court system is a fraud/corrupted system it has been 2yrs dealing with the same bs. My daughter and I have been going through hell I have requested soo many times to remove my daughter away from this state in that I have no family in, absolutely no family support at all, and continue to support my child be both her mother and father like Ive been used to doing since day 1 . My childs father abandoned us when she was a year old , at the time my family was living in MA but considering the cost of living there was no way i could of kept up with the bills and go to school i lost my home and had to resort to living with my parents who eventually decided to move away to a different state so i left with them , i set up my whole new life in our nee home state ,the baby and i had a home , i had a great job , she had her day care we were doing amazing I let the father know where we were just in case he wanted to reach out to the baby and i kept my same phone number as well. He never called or worried about her . Couple months later he decides to request for me to come back to MA in the courts and it was granted even with me having all my proof and paperwork showing my CHILDS BEST INTEREST is with me in NC the judge didnt care to look at my paperwork or to hear my story i had to drop our life and come back to ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, the "father" knowing i had nothing in MA didnt care . Ive spent countless nights in a shelter with my child, MY child spent holidays in a shelter, n a birthday , he has failed to pay his child support order multiple times and has a huge amount owed to his daughter, misses visitation days to go on vacation meanwhile iam stuck with no job due to no day care, the child care waiting list is a year long, no money due to everything going to lawyers that have only taken my money and done absolutely nothing and struggling to get through this while he is kicked back with his feet up in his 3 decker family home driving around in his brand new car. !!!THE LAND OF THE FREE HUH ..BEING FORCED TO LIVE OF THE GOVT N UNDER THESE CONDITIONS IAM SORRY BUT I WANT TO WORK TO GIVE MY DAUGHTER THE LIFE SHE DESERVES!!!

    My husband's ex gets half his paycheck ($1810/mo) for 2 children, the only reason she's only getting half is because the law says that's all they CAN take, really???!!! She is constantly badgering him to also pay 65% (his share she says) of every single thing, clothing, school expenses, etc. What exactly is support for again? She quit her job the day she served him with papers to modify the support. Just happens he had a time period where he worked a lot of overtime the prior year (not available to him now) and that's how they calculated the support. Apparently, working extra hours to try and have extra money to run your current household is detrimental to your financial situation when you have an ex like this. She had a very good job, paralegal, she is now providing zero financial support for their children. It's all up to my husband and her husband of less than 1 year to fully support her and the 2 boys. If this wasn't bad enough, we're supposed to get 1 child to claim on our taxes, but the IRS has a new rule that the custodial parent has to voluntarily sign form 8332 to allow this exemption each year. She won't sign it and says it's because he owes her money for dentist bills, he doesn't, but the DCS judge ruled in her favor on that because she was still making payments on her share of an old orthodontist debt and they are counting this debt as CURRENT unpaid support obligations, had all the proof in black and white showing it wasn't, thought it was open and shut and was stunned to see the ruling go her way, so now she has used the very biased system to get him to pay 65% of her share of a 3 year old debt that he had already paid. So basically, our exemption is gone, she will never agree to sign the form and we'll have to pay money to file contempt charges to have a judge make her sign it so we can get the exemption each year. What kind of system puts that decision in 1 single parent's control? Bottom line, we can't pay our mortgage and we're not sure how things will go from here. We still have 5 years of this and we shake our heads at the Washington State Support System daily!!

    I am a mother who has child support orders and I don't receive a dime. I would have never had my children if I couldn't take care of them on my own. How can you combine incomes of two people who don't live together as if what one eats makes the other poop. Child support is totally unfair and the consequences of not paying are the least rehabilitative. Wake Up Congress. It is 2016.

I feel like I'm backed up against the wall with the government screwing me.... and I don't get to see my son...

    I am a 20 year old who visits and gives gifts to to my daughter. The mother who doesn't even try to let me visit my own child complains about that she is so busy and that is the reason why I can't go see my daughter more than I want. It is ridiculous how when I went to court that they did not take any consideration of how I pay for rent , I am a full time student and on top of all this I give money to the mother. With bank statements in proof that I do. But the mother does not work or chooses to not work. So I have to be pushed hard around. I struggle to pay rent. And help my little brothers to go to school for my mother who makes less than I the poverty wage of America. On top of all of this it's an embarrassment. How the court acted when I brought documentation to tell me in my face that the paperwork provided does not matter all that matters. Is how much I make before taxes? That's cruel. How do they expect me to survive for paying rent and my bills? I love my daughter and if it wasn't for her mother she would be living like a queen and enjoying life... I buy her the things she needs and wants and take her out to eat. I love my little queen such a shame to see a corrupt government.

    I have been paying child support for over 13 years, working full-time and getting regular pay increases. Every 3 years, my children's mother has the ability to review the child support order and get an increase because my salary has increased. She does not work but always claims she pays for things that I then have to pay half of. If she doesn't work where does she get her money, from my child support. So is getting even more money from me. This system needs to be adjusted. I should not have to work 2 jobs to be able to support myself while she does not work at all.

    I am a mother of 2 children whose father does not see them regularly and as far as I know does not have a job. I know by taking him to court will only make things worst for his life , so I choose not to. My kids may not have everything they want but they have what they have what they need. Hopefully one day he will realize what he has done. I have a fiance who has 3 kids and he sees them all the time visits with them, buys them things they need, goes to work and STILL the mother of his kids took him to court and charged him $1000 to pay her child support! This is outrageous! Now after going to court back and forth my fiance now has 50/50 and still has to pay $50 to her for child support BC he makes a lil more than she does. This is still outrageous! There should be no child support BC they both work full time and see the kids 50/50. This system makes my blood boil. I'm done
