How can any judge give any type of custody to a person who can't support their child without child support or welfare? They need to provide for their own children just as much as the other parent. It's also not fair that when a family man needs to get a second job or work overtime to make ends meet at home, the other parent is entitled to get more of that too. Why? Some of us don't want to live in poverty and be on the system. Our children are supposed to do better than us. Not with a system like this.

Louisiana child support laws are crazy. I am a single mother my self. I think some of these men that are doing right are paying way to much. It's not right to have them pay so much they can't afford there own bills. Sometimes they go off a income these men are not even making or bringing in that kind of money any more. They should still be able to support there self and other children not just the one that he is not with the mother. Especially when that mother works has no bills. Bills and other children should be accounted for when determining child support. And the money that they are really bringing in. Not a income that was from a job they are not even working anymore. I am learning how messed up the system is first hand.

I am in agreement with child support laws being sometimes very unfair. I myself am the mother of 3 wonderful children and I put my kids father on child support and then took him off to give him the opportunity to take care of his responsibility voluntarily. However by doing this he still neglets to spend anytime, money or effort in being a better father to his children. I work and get no kind of help whatsoever, and if I don't constantly call his phone to ask for assistance with these children he says that its "my neglect". So gentlemen if you have children by a woman whom is nice to terminate the order please make sure that you do what is necessary to care for these children in all areas not just financially.

I'm not the perfect father but the mothers out there don't have the right to rake the father over the coals for child support. In my case, the mother, who has legal custody, recently tossed our daughter out of her house & told her don't bother coming back. Now for the last 2 months the mother has been getting child support & not giving any of it to our daughter. How fair is this to the father or the child? I did file for a modification of the original support a month prior to this but after this ordeal of our daughter getting kicked out of her house, I made numerous phone calls to Child Support trying to get information how I go about getting something done about it. All I wanted to do is stop the money going to the mother. Wouldn't it be easy to put the money in an escrow account or something until the matter is settled in court? Why should the mother get the money if the child is not living under the same roof? How fair is this to the father or the child? Last week I finally got a letter from Child Support stating "the minimum requirements were not met to justify a modification." Come to find out the "minimum" is set at 25% of the current support being paid. That's so wrong because I have been working a steady job for several years making 50% less money than the original order and they won't do anything? What really disturbs me is that the mother did not even send in her employment information to Child Support, I sent copies of my last 4 pay stubs with the modification papers! I know for a fact that she is working. Because she decided not to comply, they used the state minimum wage figure of $7.25 hr. for the calculation causing the dollar amount of my obligation to be 1% below the minimum requirement. How fair is this to the father or child? Some state, local & county programs are linked together to share information so people can not take advantage of the system, so why is the Child Support Division not doing the same? The Child Support Division needs to be fixed right NOW to stop both parties from defeating the system. Fix these loop holes NOW! Stop the bleeding of our hard earned money to support dead beat moms or fathers.

How is it that the parent who wasn?t granted to be the primary custodial parent of the child(ren) be forced to pay for CS meaning we are a forced to get a job or go to jail? Yet when the custodial parent receives the CS the system gives them the liberty to apply for govn?t assistance, doesn?t force them to get a job, and mostly they aren?t taxed for the CS they receive. ISN?T THERE TOTALLY SOMETHING WRONG HERE?! FOR PETE?S SAKE!!! The system is so damn corrupted it only enables the uncaring custodial parent to be lazy and teach our child(ren) to be the same way. Prior to our separation, I was the sole provider and supported both physically and mentally, and I am still providing for him. Yet when I had to file the lawsuit against her attempting to flee to another state, the judge?s ruling was so unjust. My ex lied through her teeth when she took the stand. She swore under oath and lied telling the judge that I was never there and never supported. I presented all documentations, receipts, house contracts to get our houses built that never went through, and witnesses. The judge pounded me by saying: ?You don?t have sufficient evidence that you were supporting them!? Wow, I was so amazed and very upset on his overall unjust ruling. How much more proof does this idiot want? My ex quits her job after she knew how much the state was going to garnish out of my paycheck. WTF happened to the right of due process? Thus, I really can?t understand that she even said that in court and the judge didn?t say anything. The state doesn?t have any right to intervene on when we can see and how much our child(ren) cost. Eventually, the crookedness has only continued so long because the CS system is funded by federal money and this money involves the Attorney General, lawyers, judges, and many other federal agencies. I could of never imaged how much money I spent for such a case. They always say that we do have rights, but in reality, we as the caring non-custodial parent have no rights. They empower the uncaring parent to have all the decisions. My ex has no bills, lives rent free with her parents, and does whatever she wants. On the other hand, I am trying to make ends meet to pay for my school loans, rent, bills, car payment, groceries, insurance, and entertainment. I have told her many times that the money is for him, but just ignores me. I see her with new fancy shoes, apparel, jewelry, cell phones, purses, new tires for her truck she never could afford, and lots of entertainment. But when it comes to my son, she always has him in the same tight apparel. Isn?t this abuse and misuse of the CS? Overall, it?s a very frustrating situation for many like me and others that are a responsible non-custodial parent be caught in web such as the CS system. I just have a hunch that this will never end and if this petition does go through Senates and the President. We, as human beings need a chance in this cruel world to live a happy life and

I pay $235 a week in child support and have been fighting the last two years just to see my children just half the time. I am not asking for much, just what I feel I deserve. I do not even get them 17% of the time. The courts put me in a position to where I can not afford my bills and they never even brought up if my ex has to get some type of a job. We both agreed that alimony could not be established but what I pay every week is clearly not child support.

Fathers are being treated unfairly in our child support system. They are treated like deadbeats whether they pay or not. They are stripped of their rights as human beings. Paying child support is like being put on probation only the criminals have more rights than the father. Our child support system is outdated and blatantly biased.

All child support is a joke. No matter you has the childern. And who pays. Always remember, it took both to bring that child into the world. Both are responable. So one shouldnt battle to pay. While anouther is lazy, soaking up the benafits.

I just can't believe that NM child support expects me to pay child support even tho I'm a disabled person. I can't walk at all! if any one would look at my case they would see that everything that child support has done to me and my family is wrong but nobody cares at all anyone cares about only about money. I cant hire a lawyer because he wants alot of money.I cant even see my son because my ex wants me to pay her money! Since when did it cost money to see your child???
