Even tho im paying that much im still falling behind, this is so unfair. How am i suppose to live. I dont know what to do. Ive lost my home, they even took 70% of what i received from my father passing. I cant live like this. Im still falling behind. When is enough enough.

Fathers often fall victim to the greedy Family Court System which garnishes them of most of their money, leaving them unable to care for their children financially in the end. This in turn, is used against them in their fights for custody. It's awful and maybe, just maybe there would be less deadbeat dads out there if the system didn't automatically see them as cash cows, and gave them immediate rights just as they do mothers, instead of forcing them to spend 1000s of dollars on attorneys just to earn the right to MAYBE see their children but most of all the right to continue paying child support. Which seems to be the only thing they care about.

Arrearages happen for many reasons, yet the punishment in the form of punitive interest charged, with no cap and no end, is draconian and usurious. The effect is to create a criminal of the noncustodial parent, ruining lives and livelihood potential. The statutes are in severe need of reform, yet there are few attorneys or politicians brave enough to challenge them or risk political/career suicide. Victims of states such as Texas are hunted down and brought to the brink of madness or suicide. The laws encourage parents who've become addicted to receiving tax free income to lie to the court and typically prevail, either because the court is prejudiced against fathers, and/or because the fathers cant afford to fight them in ciurt. What will it take to bring about justice?

I agree as a mother. I was a single mother and I worked to support myself and child. It should be in the interest of both parents responsibility to support the child/children instead of one parent being taken advantage of for full financial responsibility.

the laws need to change. women can cheat cause a man severe debt make him loose his job acuse him falsey of DV and get away with it. men need to rise up and stop the insanity of women who are out of control. who use the tax payer system to harass demean and destroy a mans life. and theres no recourse for the man. no laws no protection nothing. stop women who abuse the man and the children because they want paid. they cause parential alienation and never have to answer. the man the kids all have to suffer at the hands of a women who has mental problems. any one who would do this to little children and to the father of the children should be stripped of any parential rights until they get help. congress stop letting women use the system for destroy a man and his children.

The mother of my child has not worked since she started collecting child support payments. I lost my job and was out of work for at least 1 year, so I know it's hard to find a job, but 3 years now is ridiculous. The courts will not make her find a job as my child is 5 years old now and can be in daycare/school. She can work during that time like myself. All I would like to see is some fairness. If you can not support yourself why do I have to make payments to support her and my child?

The Child Support system is so unfair. I can bairley afford to pay my rent. I cant hardley afford to take care of myself. Im at rock bottom ive lost everything because of child support and the two mothers still have the nerve to ask for more help. Politicians need to take considerations for us fathers that are being abused by the system.

I believe that women should have to prove a man is not supporting their child at all in order to receive support payments as well as have to also show reasonable effort to help support themselves and their child. It is both the man and women's responsibility to help raise and support the child and it should not solely be the man's responsibility to provide financially. I also believe that child support should be allocated differently, to ensure that the money is being used for the child and not on the person receiving the support. If a women cannot afford her own rent why should the man have to pay that. Child support is supposed to be for the child and should be allocated only for use that a child needs and a portion be allocated for rent to keep a roof over the child's head.
