We have been in a relationship for about six years and a child was born. She happened to be illegal with a permit to work and a social security number which she obtained as a result of a restraining order against the father of her first child. Now, she did morally horrible things to me which include contracting out my life. I did a restraining order against her. It turned out she did the same, based on all lie statements. One day, she made a confession that all these was done because I never married her and she did not receive a green card. HORRIBLE! I never promised to marry her. Now, the court is taking out almost half of my salary for a child support including child's health insurance. I am working more than sixty hours a week and loosing my second job. I sleep 4 hours at home and the other two on the train going to work and coming back. I am trying to sell my property, but so far having difficulties. She said no judge will throw me out the country with two children who are citizens by birth. WHERE IS JUSTICE ???????????

My husband and I have two kids, and that racks up quite a bit of money in means of support. His ex has only one child from him, but she gets $936 from him. I've been trying to get a job to help support our family, but never get what I apply for. I understand Child Support is necessary, but we only make about $2,000 a month, and honestly, with grocery shopping and the need to buy our kids new clothes because they're still growing fast, that's barely enough to get by with.

During my divorce, my wife supplied the family court commissioner with a w2 from the prior year stating I made a pretty good amount of money. At the time I was no longer employed. The commissioner set the CS order at an amount ($1050 per month) reflective of what made the prior year. He started payments retroactively instantly putting me two months behind. I haven't been able to achieve the level of income I made that year since then. I've been to court attempting to get the payment adjusted to no avail, in fact the amount was raised in order to pay against arrears. The judge labeled me a "shirker" and accused me of purposefully being under employed. 50% of my paycheck automatically go to CS. I can't afford to live... The arrears are still piling up. I'd leave the country if it weren't for my kids.

It's child support not ex support. If we split everything for the child children down the middle nothing else should be owed. Period. So sexist

I pay $500 in child support we have joint custody and I cover my child on my insurance. I work 60hrs a week. My ex is a hair stylist and claims less than minimum wage and collects the rest of her money in cash. I dont make much infact when we were together she made more than me. Sometimes $200 a day. I told this to child support services and they said they can't prove what she makes so they just calculate her a minimum wage. What a cop out..shes even was held in contempt of court and they did nothing. It burns me up to see her buying a new house and wearing name brand clothing and going on expensive trips. Yet my wife, our son and my self are lucky to get a red box movie and pbj's for dinner. So much for balancing the living statuses its a rip off they dont care about the fathers. As long as they get their money. Funny to think the IRS doesnt audit her for her unpaid wages..

I lost to my ex in court. Initially I had the children and she was ordered to pay 360 a month. We went a full year and I received a total of 500 dollars. She took me back to court, the money she was supposed to pay was not enforced. Instead I was ordered to stop wage garnishment that had just started. I lost the children and now I'm ordered to pay 1060 a month. Why should I be ordered to pay this much more than her? I make more money than her, yes, but the sad sad thing about this is its never been about the children for her. It's always been about the money. And I'm active duty military, so better believe if I don't pay I go to jail. Fix this terribly lopsided system or do away with it. This is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!

Alan Rosenblatt A GOOD FATHER AND A VICTIM OF NJ COURTS THE GLOVES ARE OFF This is the case where my ex-wife said (she needs the money to pay her bills) THS WAS SAID IN COURT IN FRONT OF THE JUDGE. ALSO it is clear my daughter has been asked by two Morris county judges in court while on probation where do you live. (She states in court with my father) all my daughter problems came about because the court forced my daughter to live with her mother. As she turned 17 my ex-wife told my daughter to leave and not come back at all THIS WAS SAID IN FRONT THE JUDGE by my Ex-wife WHILE my daughter was dealing with a heroin addiction again this problem all happen while she was living with her mother. Both judges know this it was made clear. my daughter has not lived or talked to her mother in over three years MY EX WIFE STATED IN COURT I NEED THE MONEY for my mortgage HOW much more CLEAR CAN THAT BE. THIS IS SERVITUDE IN PURE FORM AND A FORM OF SLAVERY AS WELL! MY DAUGTHER HAS BEEN ASK BY BOTH JUDGES IN PROBATION REVIEWS WHERE DO YOU LIVE SHE HAS STATED WITH MY FATHER EACH TIME I THINK ABOUT IT MAKES ME SO ANGRY To keep me paying support to a women THAT HAS HAD NO CONTACT WITH our DAUGHTER IN OVER THREE YEARS MORRIS COUNTY court judges has turned child support into alimony and under treat by the state servitude in it pure form . In my opinion; any state that forces a citizen to work for another able and employable adult citizen is placing that citizen into a type of servitude / slavery. (18 U.S.C. Sections 1581 and 1589 prohibit involuntary servitude by taking someone under government threat and making them work for someone else to pay off a debt) When there?s nothing ever in my final divorce agreement for Alimony. As a side note my ex-wife is a teacher making well $70,000 year plus benefits. THE FORM I WILL SUPPLY IS A 2013 STATE INFO SITE STATING HER INCOME IN 2013. WHAT IS HER INCOME NOW SINCE SHE REFUSES TO TURN OVER HER CIS AND JUDGE CATHRINE ENRIGHT ALLOWED THIS while my income has gone down to 0. I have been forced to pay my ex-wife?s bills I have been taking care of my daughter while my ex-wife has taken no personal or financial responsibility. I have not worked in 2014 while taking care of my daughter. Each time, we have a court date, she has an excuse to say why she can?t be present in court. This in turn extends the support and the court keeps ruling in her favor. My ex-wife IS A TEACHER WITH TONS OF PERSONAL DAYS OFF FROM WORK. YET SHE CAN NEVER SHOW UP IN COURT AND KEEPS ASKING FOR COURT DATES TO BE CHANGED.JUST TO MAKE SURE SHE CAN DRAG OUT THE PAYMENTS EACH WEEK FOR HER BILLS ITS PLAIN TO SEE JUDGE ENRIGHT HAS A BIAS I HAVE LOOKED INTO HER PAST FAMILY COURT CASES AND IT IS CLEAR AS WHERE SHE STANDS IN THE FAMILY COURTS IT CLEAR SHE IS BIAS TOWARDS MALES. ENRIGHT A FORMER PROBONA LAWYER FOR WOMEN Both Judge ENRIGHT AND JUDGE COLLSTLER HAVE ASKED ?Where is the MOTHER?. IN MY DAUGHTERS PROBATION REVIE

I have one 11 year old daughter. Her mother has custody and has not taken me for child support, but I give her what I can every time I get paid. Not because I have to, but because it's the right thing to do. However, she threatens me with it court ordered child support anytime I am unable to give her money. I am a full time student working full time living in a 1 bedroom condo. I make $12.50/he and live in a tourist area so in the off season I bring home even less. I agree that child support needs to be paid to the parent with custody, I think that parent should at least have a part time job to help support the child. I am working full time and schooling full time for radiologic technology and eventually radiation therapy to set a good example for my daughter and better provide for her while her mother has had one job for 6 months the past 22 YEARS. In short, take in the goals, progress and situation the paying parent would be in and make the custodial parent get a job! I will finish school and provide a better life for my daughter than her poverty stricken lazy mother if I have to live out of my car, shower at the gym and eat cup o noodles to do so!

Its time they change the must pay the attorney general or it?s a "Gift" rule. Many friends have been treated as dead beats even though they paid child support on or before it was due every month. I can understand for those bad apples, but for those parents who are responsible and keep track and can prove they paid. They should not have to pay twice.

specifically child support fraud in Texas is a real problem. I am paying CS for a child and the mother has 3 other kids (all from different fathers) and she collects CS from them on the books as well as CS from other people she tells them they are the dads too. I have proof from her live-in babysitter that she knows who the real father is and she makes him pay too. I just need a DNA test but TEXAS says since I signed an AOP when he was born I am stuck. ??? Of course you sign an AOP when the child ios born because the last thing on your mind at the time is "is the mother trying to scam me?" this has got to stop

We have watched our son and his children suffer because of the unrealistic child support laws... I agree both parents should be responsible for supporting their children, but the outrageously high dollar amount that has been taken out of our son's paychecks makes it impossible for him to survive in the world, therefore the children are hurting also.

Good day congress I'm a soldier in this great world we live in. I had a wife and 2 beautiful kids due to the way the child supp support system is set up I lost all of it. This has got to stop we get barely enough to support our military families and to see all of it go to a individual to sit at home and collect a check and get government assistance to help them out to just life a lavish life. I've been serving this great country for 15 years and counting and to come from 2wars and xant live in a world that would teeat a soon to be war veteran this is sickness I hurt as I type this comment, I'm hurting physically and mentally I don't usually go on form's but we need to help every American out with this help out like now this is ending to many families and careers

My divorce was recently finalized through the courts. Part of the final judgement, the judge in the case stated my now ex-wife had the potential to continue to make 90K a year although she took a 30K pay cut right before we decided to divorce. Now I pay almost 1200 a month in child support when I still make less than 90K a year and regardless of legislation in my state, the amount I am paying her now gives her a net more than I take home after taxes, insurance for my children etc. We share 50/50 custody, I am not a non-custodial parent but because of this loophole in the law, I'm forced to now move out of my son's school district and I am the only parent who currently lives within his school district.

I think the child support system is completely unfair.. I pay through the state of Alaska which requires you to pay 27% of your income. Which for me is close to 1,300 a month! I'm suppose to be supporting my children (which I have no problem doing!) But I feel she's not financially supporting them and uses the child support money on herself most the time. For example, she wanted an additonal $250 so she could send my daughter to preschool, claiming its an extracurricular activity. I told her i disagreed, its not an extra curricular activity, and she could take me to court if she felt otherwise. But that she gets $1300 a month so she can use that. Needless to say, she did not end up putting my daughter in preschool because she did not wwnt to be. I believe that her income should have an effect on the child support. Whether she makes nothing or 100K it would not effect how much I owe. She has to show her income but it has no effect on how much I have to pay since it's always 27% of my income. She lives with her parents, not paying rent, utilities or groceries. I have to split any excurricular actives and health expenses. All our daughters are to her is money. She rarely spends time with them, the grandparents watch them. She couldn't even spend my daughter's birthday with her, because she was out partying. I'd take those girls in a heartbeat but she wouldn't allow it. I'm in the military which would make me fighting to get them even harder. In my option child support should a set amount for each children based on the cost of living in the area. So say it's $1000, then EACH parent should be expected to pay half. How is it fair that if I get out of the army and get a job paying double what I'm making now that my child support should be double too? I would never let my girls go without, but I also have a new wife and baby I am helping to support. Mind you when we got divorced she left me with all the credit card debt to pay off, and she got out scotch free.

Absolutely ****ing ridiculous. Expected to live off 120 a week...plus the little i make. yeah, my husbands ex can live comfortably while he can't live at all. What does a registered nurse need with over half of his already measly paychecks. I guess the struggle is real feeding your fast food addiction, driving your brand new ****ing car and all the luxuries at home, while we may lose our ****ing house. Something has to be done.
