We NEED to have CAPA passed in ALL 50 STATES! We NEED to use Nathan Wilograd's book, "Redemption" as "the Bible" for shelter management in the United States. We NEED to outlaw BSL. It is racism, plain and simple. It does not target vicious animals, it KILLS any animal that LOOKS like what people THINK a vicious animal looks like. Too many innocent, healthy lives are wasted everyday, and we NEED to change this. We will NOT go away. We WILL continue to bang down your door until the laws change.

I implore you to make changes to the animal shelters of our country, how they are run, where the money is used at, how the animals are treated, they process a private or rescue has to go through, in order to pull a animal from the shelter, the amount of time a animal is given before being put to sleep, how the animals are put to sleep, how and why shelters define a dog as a "pit bull" (since this is a almost for sure death sentence, and many of these dogs are NOT actual "pit bulls). Please also think about running a background check on all shelter workers and volunteers (to weed out those who have a abuse or cruelty background. These animals count on us all, to care for them, and their best interests... and sadly we have and do come up short !!!! Please help those who have no voice, but unconditional love !!!!

The fact that our country's law do not include humane treatment for the very animals that take such good care of us in return is outrageous! It is disgusting & disheartening how little so many people in our country care about our furry family members.....taking those who so deliberately and mercilessly torture animals - for the sheer pleasure of it with a grain of salt and no punishment expect a possible fine is something that has GOT to change.... As long as we continue to promote no punishment for animal cruelty - this epidemic will just continue to get worse...creating more and more abuse of all kinds....certainly not just animals..... Abuse is abuse...Period!

All animals in shelters deserve a chance to be rescued or adopted. Congress must step up to the plate and give more time for shelter animals to have a fair chance of finding a home.

Animals in shelters deserve to be allowed enough time to be seen and adopted or rescued. There are so many animals in shelters, it takes time to be found. These animals are not at fault and should not be killed because of human irresponsibility. If there is someone or some organization willing to take the animals, they should be released to that person or organization and not killed. This senseless killing "just because they can" should be unacceptable at all shelters. These are supposed to be "Animal Shelters" not "Animal Exterminators." The killing must stop. The animals must be given ample time to be seen, networked, adopted / rescued / pulled / or fostered. It is not fair to the animals with the time frame given and killing because of space. These animals deserve to live. Please help in giving these animals the chance at finding a new home and chance at life.

There are many people and rescue organizations working tirelessly to save as many of the unfortunate animals that find themselves on municipal shelter death rows as humanly possible, but their best efforts are too often thwarted by lack of time. Until there is legislation that works with the rescuers, one that forces the shelters to allot enough time to save these animals, countless innocent lives are ended every day. We MUST speak up for those that cannot speak for themselves. We MUST demand changes in the country's municipal shelter system. We MUST protect the animals.

Here in the 21st Century, we should have evolved far more than to continue to let these barbaric acts continue. These animals are at the mercy of those running the shelters. some of those people are unfit for the job, and care nothing about the animals. These God created beings have teh same feelings that humans have, except for hate and viciousness. They are completely innocent, and deserve a chance to be treated with respect and kindness. YOU can do something about this, and as one who pays your salary, I expect this to be addressed appropriately.

THIS LETTER COULDN'T BE MORE ACCURATE OR TRUE. WE AS AMERICANS MUST PUT A STOP TO THIS, RIGHT NOW. THIS COUNTRY IS BEHAVING LIKE A SAVAGE THIRD WORLD COUNTRY AT PRESENT, WITH ITS POOR APPROACH TO ANIMALS HOMELESS IN OUR SOCIETY. IT IS TERRIBLE & SHAMEFUL. WE ACT LIKE THEY ARE A BIG MAC PAPER WRAPPER, TOTALLY DISPOSABLE. THEY ARE NOT, THEY ARE LIVING CREATURES MADE BY GOD. IT IS OUR OBLIGATION TO CARE FOR THEM & PROTECT THEM, ESPECIALLY WHERE MOST OF THEM HAVE BECOME HOMELESS AS A RESULT OF SOME IRRESPONSIBLITY ON OUR BEHALF, AT SOME POINT IN THEIR PRECIOUS LIVES. PLEASE HELP US CHANGE THIS AROUND IN THIS COUNTRY, AND BE A BRIGHT LIGHT FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE IN THE CARE & TREATMENT OF OUR HOMELESS ANIMALS. PLEASE...... THANK YOU.

You have the power to make this stop. What is the point of all of this? Please lead by example.
