We as the people must stand and voice, for the sakes of our children, to abolish Parental Alienation. Our childrens right to have BOTH of their parents in their lives, must be upheld. For when one or the other parent alienates a child from the other parent, it is truly the child who stands to lose the most. They lose the opportunity to love and to be loved, by one who they may never be able to reach out to them again. Im a survivor of parental alienation, however it is my children who have lost more than I. They lost their opportunity to love their own mother. This is where we as a people, a community and as a nation have failed. We MUST uphold the rights of our children, they deserve the right to choose as well.Mar 9th, 2011Someone from Deridder, LA signed.

I would really like this bill passed. I have seen first hand what this does to children, it is so important that a child have BOTH their parents present, by doing so that child grows with a sense of normalcy, it also lets the child know that they can count on BOTH their parents. Please take the time and really think this through, how would you feel if one of your parents was keeping you away from the other for no reason at all? Please get rid of parental alienation, thanks and have a great day.REPORT COMMENTS

Parental alienation is a destructive family dynamic affecting countless children, parents and extended family members every year. The legal and mental health communities are currently ill-equipped to handle these heartbreaking situations. Changes in the laws will help parents and professionals develop new approaches to help children keep both parents in their lives after separation or divorce.REPORT COMMENTS

The family court system that states "in the child's best interest" sure do not follow this thinking. If this was the case, many of the good parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, etc... would still see their children, grandchildren, neices, nephews, cousins, and brothers/sisters. What has happened to the court system? Incompetance and lack of caring has happened... Children have a right to love their parents. When a parent (or a step-parent in my case) causes so much emotional and psychological damage to a child, it becomes almost hopeless for that child. Parental Alienation IS child abuse and must be addressed and stopped. Without the support of our court system, our children WILL lose everytime.REPORT COMMENTS

The children have rights to their parents. The judiciary has open prejudice against children rights to their parents and worse openly and willfully does violence on the fabric of families. It is the obligation of the executive branch of government to intercede with the judiciary has lost it's way. In this matter the courts are out of control and need to be guided back to policies that are in the best interests of the people. A Bill of Rights is what the people are entitled to against every government, and what no just government should refuse, or rest on inference.REPORT COMMENTS

Family Court is Unconstitutional. Even criminals have more rights to a fair trial than parents do in Family Court. People are being alienated from inalienable rights, and alienated from society, and their children. The people will not continue to tolerate the tyranny and incompetence of Child Protective Services and Child Support Services.REPORT COMMENTS

We raised our sweet grandchildren for over 13 and a half years. We are not being abused by not being able to have visitation with them. It is killing us. They are all we can think about and worry about. ALIENTATION is ABUSE and it needs and has to be STOPPED. We should make this abuse a crime punishable by law..REPORT COMMENTS
