my ex husband whom I left and divorced in 2003 has repeatedly used brainwahing on our daughter, just as he did me for 7 years. I got out, but even though i did the fair thing and asked for shared custody, he has now brainwashed our daughter, is in contempt of a mediation agreement, and I ended up paying child support. I am disabled now, and for the 3 years I was sick with hepc, cancer and spinal stenosis, he is telling me I owe over 10,000.00 plus interest... I have been paying but now social security tells me to let him to take me to court that I do not have to give him my benefit check in the state of Florida anyway. At hhis point I don't know what to do, but I have been saving her money for the last 3 months. I am not bound by the state to pay through them as my ex lives 3 streets from me, it is just that my illness is progressing, and is hard for me to walk, and he is just giving me the runaround. He has also done some terrible things to me since 2002, till this day. My words are blurred from my tears. I have not seen my son in over three years. I have done nothing. I do not enjoy the same rights as you. My ex is allowed to use my Son as a Pawn in her evil deceit. No one wins. I had one child so I could provide for that child and raise him to be a civilized member of society. I have seen first hand what PAS can do. The courts are presently doing noting to hold the alienating parent accountable. Fines should be levied on the alienating parent. Instead, in our current family court system, alienators are not held accountable and rewarded instead.REPORT COMMENTS

As an alienated parent that actually managed to get visitation with her kids restored, I agree that the alienators should be held accountable BY LAWS with ENFORCED SENTENCES. My entire family was alienated from my children. We didn't see them for two years during which time they were brainwashed into believing that they were completely terrified of us, that we were abusive, and that we would "break up a happy family" if we had any contact with them. When the kids were finally taken to reunification visits with my parents (their grandparents), my then 10 yr old son screamed and cried because he was so "scared." He even claimed that MY FATHER wasn't his real grandfather because he already had one - Stepmother's Father. The alienator even "prayed" with his own children that they would not have to see my parents. My younger child was used and brainwashed in an even worse way and now knows things about sexual abuse that NO child should know. My oldest has recovered for the most part... We still have self-esteem issues with him... But my daughter is an absolute mess because of the emotional abuse she was subjected to. She is behind in school, has problems with her interactions with peers, has attachment and control issues and has a hard time differentiating between when she's telling the truth or making things up. Now, even despite the judge in our custody case promising punishment for any alienation in our case and acknowledging that my husband, family and I have NOT DONE ANYTHING WRONG, my ex and I have equal custody of our two beautiful children. The alienation continues and nothing is or has been done about it. We suffered through two years without the kids. They spent two years missing us. My husband and I suffered through multiple police interrogations (WORSE than the movies!), completely inept CPS investigation, 6 full days in court, thousands and thousands of dollars in legal fees, child support payments that were gained from the alienation, missed holidays, birthdays, and countless bedtime hugs and kisses... All for what? To have to sit back and deal with the fact that the alienators will never be brought to justice for the emotional abuse my kids suffer through continued subtle alienation tactics; the pain, anguish, heartache and utter despair that all of this has caused; and least importantly of all, all of the financial distress inflicted upon us and unfair financial gain by the alienators. They should be held completely accountable for their actions. In our case, the alienator will not benefit from any kind of therapy so the only thing that MAY make a difference is to get rid of the benefits to them through punishment. ALIENATORS NEED TO BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW. This abuse CANNOT continue. It destroys families and children. Anyone else who abuses a child is subject to jail time. Please, make this the standard for Parental Alienation and the emotional abuse that goes along with it. Thank youREPORT COMMENTS
