Diggy almost got taken from his loving home because he LOOKED like a pitbull when he was actually an American Bulldog. I think the powers that be should be required to take a DNA test to prove a dog is a pitbull. Why should a dog be convicted before proof has been shown? -

Breeds aren't "vicious" - almost any dog can be trained to be aggressive and non-socialized. Contrarily almost any dog can be raised to be social and "safe". It's the owner's issues not the animal's.REPORT COMMENTS

Breed Specific Legislation makes it harder to adopt these "being bullied breeds" because only rescues can get them from shelters, some don't adopt them out. Maybe the government should be trying to help these breeds instead of banish, abandon, and kill them (like shitty monster pet owners). Working on a tax relief for people who do spay & neuter, or find a way to gently encourage Spay & Neuter as well as licensing. Good people with families want dogs, cats and critters of all breeds.REPORT COMMENTS

Many complexes forbid not only Pit Bulls, but also German Shepherds, Dobermans, etc. I think that's totally unfair. These animals, and I have known many, are loving and wonderful. It all depends on the owner how these animals, and all animals, behave. Show a dog love and you will receive love in return.
