Repeal the WEP/GPO. I have worked for 10 years paying into SS and it is unfair for the government to penalize us by not giving us what we put into it. I was a public school teacher in CA, CT and TX for a total of 6 years of my 32 year work history. So I paid into SS for 26 years. I am about to re-enter the public school sector as a middle school teacher, but I am seriously reconsidering. Why would I want to subject myself and my family to this law and these penalties? I worked for thirty years as a certified teacher in Texas and a few years in Missouri. I have worked since I was twelve at many other jobs i.e. as a waitress,sold new homes, sales rep.,taught at private schools,and many other jobs . I am now 65. There were years I worked another job in addition to teaching to make end's meat.Also,for over five years after getting a teaching certificate I worked other jobs and paid into Social Security all those different times. I now am barely getting by and only getting less than a third of what I paid in to SocialSecurity. Hardly fair!REPORT COMMENTS

I am writing to you as a single retired teacher who owns my home and has worked for the San Francisco Unified School district for 28 yrs. During the time I worked as a full time teacher I have had to work a second job the entire time to make ends meet. I am talking about taxes, insurance, etc. for my home. I have paid into Social Security and I will not be receiving my full benefits that I have paid to Social Security all these years. In addition I am still working part time and supporting my 88 yr old mother. Please repeal the WEP/GPOREPORT COMMENTS

We need to identify the Congressional people who are preventing the repeal of the WEP and GOP. Then, we need to go after their jobs. Replace them. As they are replaced, the new Congressional people will soon repeal these two atrociously unfair laws, for fear of losing their jobs too. This is the only way.
