Something definitely needs done. I am a divorced father of 4. I am financially castrated to say the least. Don't have money to afford an attorney so my rights get trampled on over and over. How can you leave someone below poverty level and expect them to be able to live. I can't even afford to get my kids birthday gifts. I was working 80 hours a week to make 330 dollars a week after taxes and child support. That is hardly enough to live on in today's age. Then to top it off even though I am financially responsible for my kids she gets to claim them all on taxes. I get to live on half an income and yet pay taxes as if I am a single male with no dependents. I qualify for no assistance to help with anything and yet she gets welfare assistance, child support, a huge income tax return with child tax credit and has a guy living with her making 40k plus. -

I totally agree with this because I'm from Sc and some of these women live for the check work for a week and stop because they in fear that The check will be cut off no money go the kids its all for hair and nails. Child support needs changed. It only supports the mother, and no support or benefit to the child. One who pays child support to other, also is the one who pays to support their child, outside of the parental home. Is it fair for the non parent to pay twice?? Not fair at all. The support should go into an account where it's strictly monitored for child, with eligible expenses, only to purchase with debit card, with receipts to submit for reimbursement of child support account. If receipt is not eligible for expense, then it's rejected or declined, knowing that the actual purchase was not intended for the child. Stipulation is, account is flagged, reviewed for Non child support eligible purchases, then grant the payor, rights, to make the purchases for the child. The payee loses all rights to child support payments. NOTE: High heels, cars, jewelry, nails, makeup and purses are not eligible purchases, for child support. Period!!REPORT COMMENTS

Domestics can take up to 55% of the payers income. The key words. Up to!!!! Why is it that when i only make $11 an hour they take 55% of my gross. Before taxes and my insurance deduction. Also my support payments are $800 a month. So i live off of a little over $1000 a month. I pay rent, bills ,car insurance, and groceries. At least i try to. I take copies off all my bills to a hearing and prove i dont make enough to pay to live and they still insist on taking 55% of my income. While the mother is driving new dodge charger a new hummer, motorcyles , suburbans and buying a $80,000.00 house with no income she is claiming. So please someone explain to me how fathers that do everything they can to support there child and live poorly while the mother has everything and the kids have nothing and domestics insist on taking 55% and they say to get a second job. ********!!!! I am a single father who also pays child support. A lot of child support. Yet I have never seen a dime from my son’s mother, who abandoned him as a toddler. I work myself sick, literally, as a welder, which is not the easiest job in the world. I work 61 hours a week and have arthritis in my back and I’m only 38. Due to cost of living, I had to move my son and I an hour from where my youngest son lives, to a tiny town where it is much cheaper to live, and we scrape by here.REPORT COMMENTS

I have a CDL that's suspended been suspended for almost 2 years I was paying until I ran out of money my dad left me some money when he died they took all that from me and still had me on that miss one payment license suspended******I um broke homeless I came up with money to reinstate my license after they took all my money as soon as I fix my license tried to find a job it wasn't 2 months when I found a job bout to get hired a come to find out they was suspended again so I been in the hole every sense I payed ova $39,000 dollars everything I had on top of that while I was unemployed and homeless they charge me $350 a month that's crazy one more thing I went to child support building it was a white man in there crying bout paying $40 a month how in the hell he get a payment that low I really done gave up somebody need to help us father's cause we getting took advantage of and it's wrongREPORT COMMENTS

I've been unfairly set into debt, and had my fathers rights severely stepped on by my ex wife and state court system,because she wanted a divorce on grounds of "irreconcilable differences" right after the death of my father and small business partner. Suffering from deep debilitating ptsd and depression I was unable to represent, afford ,or even get up for her forced court proceedings to defend my self and two very young children..so I got rodded by her and system...when I've always had them with me every weekend and also a lot more than just weekends in the summertime..my ex also makes a lot more money than i do ,lives in a sweet house her older brother bought her ,and drives a late model Toyota corolla her brother also got her...and here I am being a present and solid dad to my 2 kids ,at least every weekend, and more, it is totally unfair that I find myself in $20,000+ debt to my state and this double dipping woman?...so unfair!REPORT COMMENTS

I'm highly against child support to a certain extent I'm one of those father's who were placed on child support due to a baby mother being spiteful without a far fight in court she still conversate with my father and she told him that she had opportunities to make me off but she doesn't want to I have pictures of all my daughter's items and clothing but the only reason she doesn't want me off because she gets child care food stamps and government assistance while I'm on child support we have an agreement going to avoid going to court and yet she still have child support over my head I'm a great father I've been in my daughter's life since before she was born for the first 2 years of her life it was just me and her because her mother was to tried to do anything with when it came down to her changing diapers she wouldn't do it when it came down to anything involving my daughter she wouldn't have anything to do with her I have recording of her saying she doesn't like her mother and how mean she is my daughter's 5 years old now but I'm paying child support I never thought about putting her on it but it's so easy for her to go to court and say I want child support and they say ok I didn't have a fighting chance in God's name and that's completely wrong I really want this law banned because too many of us great fathers are being jailed or getting licenses suspended behind kids we take care of this is truly unacceptable and if we get jobs we lose them behind being a arrested for being behind and I'm from Louisiana....REPORT COMMENTS
