Over 5 years I have not seen my daughter and not by choice, they got me for 30k in child support and even though I presented my w2's for those years to prove that amount was wrong, judge Crump from Austin Texas denied to even view them to help adjust that fictitious amount, and refuses to allow me to see my child, I have many memories, pictures, and video to prove my self as a loving father. Please I ask for help in the greatest way to help me reunite with my daughter.

The income is used for both parents. its not used for welfare recipients because that's government assistance, not income. The family size and obligations are taken into consideration if the info is provided and substantiated. If its not used, its likely proof was never provided or someone failed to file the appropriate proof or show for court. Total Debt of both parties isn't used because debt doesn't exclude from supporting children or take precedence. Drug testing of the recipient of child support is excessive. They don't drug test you before having children. If you feel your child is in a dangerous situation, report it to protective services and petition for custody. With regards to employment status of both parties, as mentioned above, they will use income. but, if they didn't (and recipient is not on welfare) if the child is very young and the cost of day care might far exceed the ability to be employed, they might not use it. also if you have 0% timeshare with your child either by court order or choice, it might not matter what the recipients income is, depending on the state. Timeshare spent with your child is important. If you have a low percentage of timeshare your share of the support of the child is higher because you're assisting less in the care of your child. The cost of day care for many new parents far exceed the amount of income they could make with a small infant or child at home. Fees are generally equally divided unless its determined that a specific party has taken or failed to take action that has caused undue hardship to the other. Child Support is federally mandated but managed by each state. The laws and the calculation used to determine support is set by the state. you should contact your state representatives and petition change to your states Family Code.

After paying 1050.00 a month for child support and 170.00 for health care I'm left with 400.00 a month to survive on. Is congress listening? I'll be on the street soon if something doesn't change. My ex-wives income wasn't even considered in Reno, Nev. And I'm paying support for another mans biololagical child in California.

This is soo true!!! Men stand no chance in this manner I can afford to pay my bills while the mother of my child has a good job and I'm required to pay 100% of all expenses and then some. They system doesn't take into account my bill I'm a outta state worker forced to stay outta state for the next 17 years double the cost of my living rent mortgage gas,and was told if I leave my job for less money I would go to jail!! I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place and will eventually go bankrupt and lose everything I've ever worked for it sad to see this sorta happen to good men!! I've already raised two successful young men my daughter was unexpected but god what a blessing!!

The time has come for child support to be reformed and amended. In many cases nowadays, the mother earns more than a father, has a college degree and/is self employed. No accountability of expenses made towards the child while mother keeps many of the earnings for herself. I agree with the 7 point system above.

The current child support system is skewed and only ends up alienating a Father from his own Children. I pay a total of $2,500 a month in court-ordered child support and, despite having been through extremely difficult financial times, have thankfully been out of arrears for the last four years. Yet, anytime that I?ve been in a court room to fight for my rights as a Father to just get more time with my Children I have been treated and viewed as a ?Dead-beat Dad?. My ex is remarried, has a spouse that makes six figures, they live in a half a million-dollar home and yet my ex uses the monthly child support as her own monthly allowance to go shopping for herself. I?m required to pay child support in-full and on-time with the threat that if I don?t, or if I fall behind (due to illness, unemployment, etc.), I could lose: my driver?s license, my passport, my livelihood and even my freedom. Yet what accountability does a Mother, or the person receiving child support, have to adhere to if they aren?t spending the money on the children; or aren?t allowing the other party to even have time with them? Yes, Children should absolutely be kept out of situations and homes where there is abuse, drugs or neglect. But when a Father has a safe, loving, caring, home environment that is conducive to a child?s well-being and future stability they should be allowed equal time with their Children. It?s nearly impossible in the current form of the law for child support to be lowered, even due to unemployment or a salary reduction, but every two-three years a Mother can request it to be raised the moment a Father is finally able to get ahead or doing better financially. So, what sense does it make for a Father that isn?t able to meet his child support obligation to lose his driver?s license or go to jail? How is that going to better the situation for the children when you?re stripping away his ability to work or to ever have an opportunity to get caught up? If a Father that?s in arrears can prove that he?s at least making an effort to pay or doesn?t have the ability to pay, then that situation should be fairly reassessed and the monthly payment amount lowered - or even temporarily suspended if unemployed due to no fault of their own. In this time when Women are marching on Washington for equal rights and equal pay they should also be willing to accept the responsibility that comes with those rights. Not only should there be equality in the workplace, but there needs to be equality in the courtroom and EQUALITY for both a Mother AND a Father when it comes to their parental rights.

It's not fair for us men to be on child support because women are spiteful or just looking for the next dollar and we struggle to make ends meet. Once or twice a week seeing the child. We're never out of debt will be paid that for the rest of lives even when they're over 18. Is just a lot I struggle right now because I'm on child support I can't even take care of myself better long take care of him

Is the aim to destroy men, so the child & the women have to depend on the government for more control!? I have two adult children living in my home because they can't afford to live independently! Both pay crazy amounts in child support & are also in debt over their heads over "child support" ..they don't see their children because the "Mother" won't allow them, because of another relationship she is in.. You have got to do something for these father's!! It's ridiculous! I don't understand why nothing has been done yet! Or maybe I do...maybe that's the plan you had all along!

My husband pays weekly for his children yet the mother doesn't let him have any contact with his children. She has other kids and has never held a job. She lives off my husbands child support and still says she doesn't get enough.

If you are a father or planning on being one soon, do yourself a favor and stay far away from the state of Wisconsin! This has to be one of the "thirstiest" places in the U.S. when it comes to CS enforcement. Here they offer no solutions to the real issues, just lock everybody up. Meanwhile, the children suffer alot more if the father is a stable figure in their lives because they take him out of the home. Who is this justice for? Definitely not the kids or the mom who has to now portray 2 roles in his absence. Its all about money. If you dont have any or are poor, the penalty is jail. Money can be made up for, yet you cant truly make up for time lost sitting in a county jail away from your children. Who's going to reimburse us?

So here is my point I shouldn't have to split court cost. Because I pay for medical, heat, lights, food, clothing, rent, birthdays and every thing else. Even when a man is on child support he still won't pay. I never check my child support card. It's been 0.0since 2014. If child support is reformed it's needs to something that it automatically takes that money out of paychecks of missing parent.
