I believe if you have ever lost a child you would know that 3 days is appalling the shock alone can last for weeks. What is wrong with our country and our society for giving parents only three days off? Shame on you all. Other parts of the world are more compassionate then we are. We lost our only child on 9/27/10 in a horrible car accident, she was only 19. It was the worse thing that I have ever had to deal with and I'm still trying to come to terms with what happened. The company I work for gave me a whole 3 days off with pay to grieve, plan and have her funeral. I missed 9 working days and had to use all of my vacation and sick time. I really needed more time but I had to go back to work. This act really needs to be passed so other families will have the time they need to grieve. There is nothing worse in this world than having to bury your child. Thank you.REPORT COMMENTS
