Anyone who has lost children can relate to the devastation and pain that occurs. I have lost two babies, and I know that sometimes it is hard to function, or face the public when your heart and your pain is on your sleeve. The FMLA would be a very compassionate and fair thing to do for grieving families. Many times there are other children that need to be attended to....they may be smaller, but they feel the loss just as we do as adults.Feb 2nd, 2011Someone from Cottage Grove, MN writes:

I lost my job due to my son's suicide. I was expected to go back to work within the week after it happened, even before his funeral and was met with incredible lack of compassion when I returned to the job. Somehow, my child's death wasn't supposed to affect me or my work performance in the slightest. This is a much needed revision in the FMLA.REPORT COMMENTS
