I lost my son and needed 5 days off as opposed to the 3 days bereavement. Upon return I was given a performance "talk" and after missing two days of work (terribly depressed) in the few weeks that followed, I was terminated.REPORT COMMENTS

Loosing a child is the worst thing that one can go through. I lost my firstborn and only son to this date on October 3, 2006. I still think about him everyday and some days are harder than others but parents deserve more time than their employers allow.REPORT COMMENTS
