I am in the same boat as the person from Virginia that wrote the above text. I am one of the fortunate ones. I work for a non profit and I have been here for 14 years. My felony drug conviction was almost `7 years ago. I received my rights back in 2011. I love my job but it would be nice to get a place to live without having to put all my defects on paper and make copies of my restoration of rights every time I have to tell about the felony. I have mine framed and in my office on the wall for everyone to see. I am very proud of my accomplishments.REPORT COMMENTS

I've been to so many interviews, qualified for the jobs and then got sadly turned down because I had a small criminal record.
