I took lupron for a year. It caused severe depression, suicidal thoughts, memory loss, anxiety, migraines, hot flashes, ulcers and lower back pain. Please require long term studies to be undertaken before more lives are affected by this drug. We are helpless without knowing all the dangers and can not make a true informed decision without the study. It is causing more harm as an unknown than good at this point. -

I had Lupron back in 2002 for 6 months. Not long after coming off the shots I had spinal pain and thought I had bone cancer it hurt so badly. I still have the pain in the same area 10 years later something's gotta give!!REPORT COMMENTS

My daughter was forced to take this drug or her doctor would not perform the surgery she needed so desperatly. I am horrified that this drug is being dispensed by ignorant doctors and hurting everyone it touches!! My daughters life she thought would be improved by removing the endomitriosis and lesions and Hysterectomy at the age of 30,Was not ready for all the worse problems that Lupron is responsible in her body. Labrial tears in her hips her shoulders, bone density loss that cause her so much pain. And sadly everytime she sees a doctor there is more heartache and problems. Stop the Maddness!! i have every side effect frm the drug u can think of weight gain.bad mood swings,depression,my whole body hurts aches an pains.swelling.fluid retention,headaches, anxiety,still have really bad stomach pains and cramps,blurred vision,fogginess,memory loss ect.... i just want my life bak i am a 28 yr old woman that has severe endo i have had 5 prior surgries didnt help and my doctor gave me the option to have a kid or take lupron then see if i needed a hysterectomy. this is the worst drug eve! i use to be the most spontanious and happy person and had no pain but the endo pain now i feel like im a 80 yr old woman that wants to give up on life. i have no sex drive what so ever and no woman should ever go through this. i stay tired and exhausted all the time and in pain all i want to do is sleep. please help us. i hate haveing the hot flashes and no sleep at night, i sleep mostly thru the day.REPORT COMMENTS

I had 3 shots over a 9 months, 2 years agos, after being diagnosed with prostate cancer. It is now 2 years later and my prostate cancer has returned and my doctor suggested Lupron shot again, stating that I may have to be on this shot the rest of my life. Within 2 weeks of this last injections, the side effects started. My hands and arms swell so severely that I cannot been arms or fingers. I have such severe joint pain that I am unable to sleep or do any simple tasks. I cannot even pick up a knife to butter my own toast. I cannot dress myself. I have had memory loss and hearing loss. I will not have another one of these shots. My wife has done extensive research and has found this drug is dangerous. We have decided together to fight this cancer in some other way. Regretably, the damage from Lupron may already be done and may have long lasting effect in my life. I am useless !REPORT COMMENTS
