I have 3 fractured vertebrates, and compond wedging to my disc, and in living in torment and almost bed ridden and yes we have to put up with either lying doctors or a lying government all pointing the finger at one another as an excuse, but if there making these laws while real people are in agony its ridiculous, while drinking there scotch maybe, wait till they need help! This is probably going to have more people looking to the streets and going who knows where to get there meds or usuing street drugs just because its easier then watch the Emergency Rooms. Sometimes makes you wonder if thats what they really want. No wonder Heroin has spiked in New Hampshire and all over. THINK BEFORE YOU ACT! Understand being careful. BUT DON'T PUNISH THE REAL ONES IN NEED OVER SOME BAD APPLES! GET OFF THE DOCTOR'S BACK, THERE CALLED PAIN SPECIALISTS FOR A REASON! Thanks, BE WELL!

My wife has been an chronic pain sufferer for over 11 years. She has never exceeded an prescribed dose and has adhered to all patient contracts. This month 8/2016 her doctor told her she will no longer be treated with Opioids and that she should take 1ea. 800mg Motrin weekly and take muscle relaxers 3 times daily. Muscle relaxers do not work for her pain and makes her far more groggy than the Opiods ever did. Chronic pain sufferers that have been treated legally with Opioids and follow all signed agreements are not addicts. They depend on these drugs to manage their pain at an tolerable level. To be treated as an addict is demeaning and grossly unfair. The Doctors now tell us that Opiods are not the way chronic pain should be treated. I wonder if a malpractice suit against the Doctors that prescribed the Opiods for over 11yrs would be in order.

My daughter suffers from a possible Chiari malformation. She is in excruciating pain almost daily and because she is young, it is automatically assumed she is going to abuse any meds given to her. Meanwhile, every week there is a story in our local newspaper of a doctor shopping TennCare recipient being busted for selling the very medicine that would allow my daughter the quality of life not only to be not disabled anymore, but not in pain and able to re-enter college. You are focusing on the wrong people. If you do anything this year (which I suspect you won't-more of the same partisan b.s. gridlock we've come to expect on issues that would actually HELP American citizens), rethink your policies on pain medication and any supplements available naturally that can ease the health problem. Addiction isn't a criminal issue. It is a health and education issue as well as a mental health issue. Look to Peru, who decriminalized drugs and started treating it as a health issue, or any of the Nordic nations who have done the same. Their approach works. Ours doesn't. All it does is actually increase violent crime, addiction and enrich cartels. Have some sense and for God's sake have some compassion for those even worse off than my daughter.

I believe that most doctors refuse to see the power they have or are cowards.I talk with one of my life long friends last night. His 12 year old daughter had a kidney stone. He took the child to the ER.The Doctor at the ER ordered an x-ray and confirmed it was a kidney stone.Told him "sorry I know she is in pain but our policy is not to write narcotics".Take her home and give her Ibuprofen. He was so angry he was in tears.I have had a kidney stone and know how excruciatingly painful they are.I Don't wish harm on anyone, but I hope Karma catches up with this doctor.I live in Indiana. There have been 60 deaths this weekend alone.People are turning to Heroine and drug dealers are lacing it with Elephant Tranquilizers. Catafyentinal. There are a lot of cowardly doctors with blood on their hands.

AMEN! I am a recovering alcoholic (10 yrs sober), and I have suffered chronic pain for the past 12 years due to an accident. Ive had surgeries, MRI's, and all manner of painful and sometimes humiliating procedures. It is impossible for me to get a prescription for even the most basic of narcotics. I was told y one Dr. that I should consider moving to Colorado and start smoking pot everyday. I am running out of reasons to stay alive. Please help...

We the taxpayers, and Believers in Jesus Christ,as the one to "fear",for only His word is the way, truth and life.We have no problem suffering for Christ Jesus's name;but the Bible warns about the Evil powers in this world, whose only job is to:Steal,Kill, and Destroy. I will pray, this DEA,which I personally witnessed intimidate outstanding physicians and pharmacists, over a year ago,in suburban Detroit, which makes me wonder why this was a waste of your targeted population. Why?At that time, a wave of heroin flooded Detroit, and now there are few arrests on the deadly street pills laced with fentany, killing more, except alcohol, than all year to date prescription opioids.I research my facts til I'm blue in the face, before I decide what the injustice is and who and how many are affected. I pray whoever may read my comments, understands we are late in coming together as broken and desperate people, searching for causes and solutions beyond taking pills. No,this petition involves dignity and compassion. We are beyond fed up with The current President Obama and The Affordable Care Act,is no longer viable.Thank you for your time,as you surely have employees with chronic pain, who understand.Hopefully we can meet a senior member of your team soon, before more damage is done. I am praying for ALL our government agencies and feel only by a face to face meeting, will we have the best outcome for all.

I have a genetic disorder that causes daily multiple dislocations of major joints. My pain is real and documented. Without my medications I cannot get out of bed and function as a mother to my 2 children. Now I am being denied the prescription meds that Ive been on for years (with not one overdose or misuse) I cannot bear to have my children see me bedridden every day. I cant live like that. You are discriminating against a large population because of the actions of others.

1st pain clinic would do nothing but opiates. I am allergic to opiates and told them that but just shrigged their shoulders. The 2nd pain clinic has already profiled Me and I had to sign a drug contract. I will allways test clean as I do not like or do drugs! Not sure where to go from here as I am tired of being profiled!! For the record, I have Tattoos covering both arms

Everyone please look me up on Facebook as there are many more that need signing as I've been advocating this issue for many months use my name & location & you'll find me. The DEA knows we're not responsible as legal legitimate pain patients yet, they won't let out doctors treat us. However, as I stated before the letter from Debra Houry, MD, MPH Director of the CDC states were to get our meds, it's not a law, doctors are to still have decision making as they know us, Its not intended to deny our opioid medication & they're only to reduce or taper dosage when the harm outweighs the benefits we've. CDC encourages physicians to use their clinical judgement. It's the intention of the Guidelines to ensure people who need them have access to opioids, while reducing opioid related deaths. They failed to mention as the CDC knows that the overdoses are coming from those that've OD'd on Heroin, those that took them from Mommy, Daddy & Grandmoms med cabinets when they didn't dispose of them when done. It's the young ones that saw OxyContin or Oxycodone & said "Oh I heard we can get high on these, that led them to heroin as they're ADDICTS, not Chronic Pain Patients that Don't want to use them but must to function. We're being denied our Constitutional Right to Life, Liberty & The Pursuit of Happiness as we can't function without them, be with our families, have jobs with income as we DON'T GET HIGH ON THEM - WE FUNCTION!! AN ADDICT SEEKS OUT TO GET HIGH & RUINS THEIR LIFE & THAT OF THEIR FAMILY & FRIENDS WHILE US IN CHRONIC PAIN HAVE A LIFE & OUR FAMILIES WHEN WE HAD OUR OPIOIDS. Now they're denying us them where are we to go but to Disability, whom will pay for this? Many are taping notes to themselves as they commit suicide saying " I didn't take my life with Opioids, I took my life as without them I'm nothing, I can't support or be with my family as I once did, so they're better without me & im better without the constant pain my doctor left me in because of the CDC, DEA & Government Agencies that took my life away".Many are now being sued by family members as they lost their loved one because their doctor feared the DEA & since they abandoned my spouse, partner, son, daughter or other family or friend, they in fact committed malpractice. The doctor need to look into a great attorney who is in Florida but goes to all states & tells them NOT to cave to the DEA when they come in saying lies about them overprescribing. The one on my Facebook gives our docs step by step directions online what to do if the DEA walks in with their scare tactics, mostly without an arrest warrant & says if they're going to arrest you, let them as they'll fight & WIN. Let's all write to the CDC & DEA & tell them they'll have a lot of blood on their hands as they already do. Legal law abiding citizens are now turning to the streets to get heroin as they're abandoned by their doctors only to get carfentanyl laced heroin. In one town last week they had 30 deaths from it & when on

I have several serious conditions that have led to me being a pain patient since 2007. The outrageous attacks on both legitimate patients and doctors alike has caused many of us to suffer in a manner that is cruel and unusual. My most recent pain doctor moved away leaving the practice and forcing me to seal another provider. I've been disrespected, demeaned and forced to suffer by doctors with a "shit up & obey" mentality towards their patients. This is due to fear for licenses and wrongful accusations by the DEA and others. My quality of life and ability to function are going back downhill and I will very soon be bed ridden & house bound once again after struggling for years to be able to have the best possible life date has given me. No one should be treated this or forced to suffer in this manner. This in inhumane and should never happen.

Been seeing same pain physiatrist first 13 years or more also have been on the same medication (a narcotic) for longer, recently my doctor started me on a ween but refused a straight answer why. I went along to see how far down I'd be able to tolerate but still able to manage effectively. Got down to a much lower amount than I had been on 40mg three times per day, but I felt it was NOT doing its job, however she advised under new guidelines that no more than 60mgs a day was to be prescribed any longer which couldn't be especially since I know a few people some of which are even her own patients that are still on much higher doses still. She assured me we'd stay at that amount but then advised I would need to start seeing my therapist again which I complied for a few months now. But when I was to see her for my last appointment I had to reschedule due to my driver being involved in an accident, the nurse told me the doctor would NOT prescribe any more meds until my next appointment which left me for 10 days or more with NO medication at all, (this medication cannot just be stopped) claimed I didn't follow through on seeing a therapist, no notes from him were received. I had my therapist call them, fax 2 letters and his notes right away... AGAIN! That didn't seem to be satisfactory she then prescribed meds to supposedly get me to my appointment two weeks away however it was for less than half of what I had been taking...when I called the office to say how much pain I was in and I could NOTmake it on one 20 milligram twice a day...I was refused any alternative whatsoever. I DONNOT abuse my meds I am not a drug abuser or a junkie why am I being treated as one all I want is to be able to walk my dog again!!!!!! Someone please help!!!!!!

I have chronic pain. Fibromyalgia. DDD. Osteoarthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis. I have been on narcotics for three years with pcp. Pain clinic offered less visits so I took offer. I had been sick and didn't take medicine. Urine showed negative. Also during this time I kept a small bottle in my purse and big bottle put up. My mom moved in and somehow lost my bottle. Pain clinic stoped my meds. My pcp says he isn't allowed to give them to me now. However pain clinic said he could. Now im without pain medicine until I can see a specialist in October.

I have 38 illnesses receive blood treatment every 3 wks, take 53 meds and 2 different injections. I was put on a black list by a Dr I only had a consultantation with, he corporatded with 2 other and I will stress other designs which all were of some indie race I know all spoke Arabic. So I was forced to go to my Rheumatologist. Now hes not going to do it all one pain specifically who even wasn't my Dr I had a consultantation only never been treated by him ever. Then I dug further to his health grades report and found out I wasn't the only person he treated this way he had more bad remarks then a short time he has been here then I have seen in my entire life, I also found out him and 2 other drs where one of the two only saw me once and my immune Dr didn't care for him so I see another Dr instead and he actually treated me. 2 weeks ago I had to fill out an amendment to the hospital it took me an hour and a half and because of my conditions I couldn't walk they wheelchair me to my car. I also can't drive like I used to especially in awful weather conditions so retrieving my script every month to a drs office that is an hour away from my home is dreadful. My husband is a trucker he can't do it anymore. Thanks for listening and please find a solution or circumstances that can be met easier for the patient. I have 38 illnesses, get blood treatment every 3 wks take 53 meds in order to function and live some of my illnesses are life-threatening and very painful. And now that my Dr is getting out of it he gave me only 70 pills for the whole month for a wk now I have been in unbearable pain, Even when I go to the ER they refuse me pain meds I will name a few of my illnesses systematic lupus in 3rd stages, RA SEVERE, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, neuorapsdrhd he fgf grew credit the TX characters S efface Samantha kline

Why do harm? Former deans list nursing student... Taught that pain is subjective, use the pain scale, do no harm! Are the few providers left instructed by gov. to do this to people who are suffering? I never asked for the fusion I received, too be a ( failed)? Fusion??? I only agreed too " the only treatment option". Fuse 3 levels in my spine and truly believed I could continue with life! Keep moving forward... Succeed! I'm a single disabled mother of twin teen son's Struggling each day... Providers control what quality of life I, have. And not only I pay for pain never wanted, also MY SON'S, and any FRIENDS suffer. Why? I've never thought of t using any needle. I've never done illegal or street drugs...never heroin user...please don't put my pain with heroin addiction! I'm a person. Born in the USA. Never asked to be t disabled. Never wrote one medication prescription ever! Yet...my pain management provider even with worsened syptoms that can be proven by expensive MRI scans orders...not ordered by myself. Yes there is a difference in being addicted to drugs and suffering in pain! Common sense! My...my son' s lives changed dramatically after failed fusion! Was referred to pain managment provider... What about alcohol? No! I don't drink....yet. How many alcoholics are dying each day? Is that ok? Or swept under bed as pain has become? Patients bill of rights? Civil rights? Constitutional rights? Do any still exist? My days are pain. And now lowering what I've been told, the " only treatment for....failed spinal fusion? Dose... What will become of my life? Or what life I've had? What about my teen son's who depend on me..yet? I have not wanted any medications, due to failed back surgery with radiculopathy pain. I didn't want the fusion.. I only wanted to keep living...a productive life. How many thousands have been hurt by no treatment for pain? Any one care to know? I am not positive although thinking that... Physicians, politicians, the rich.... Their families...don't need...worry about being able to have a quality of life due to pain....
