I am a legal citizen of this country and have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! I have a right to medication that eazes my pain to allow me a QUALITY OF LIFE! You have swung the pendulum way to far and have singled out, degraded, neglected, and discriminated against the chronic pain community, 100million plus you are DENYING medical treatment to. actually the CDC says 100 million suffer from chronic pain, maybe half of them take opiods IDK, but what I do know is this fact: THE GOVERNMENT/DEA/CDC IS RAGING GENOCIDE ON THE CHRONIC PAIN COMMUNITY, ACTUALLY ANYONE IN ANY TYPE OF PAIN, ACUTE, CHRONIC, ETC. How is there a opiod epidemic when the numbers put out by the CDC are clearly FALSE! You have all lied to the public, imagine that, you all know dam well what's killing people is the heroin laced fentanyl and fake pills hitting the streets, and I don't doubt for a second you corrupt lawmakers/terrorists and your sidekicks the DEA are pouring that****** onto our streets, killing thousands and thousands of citizens, just like the terrorists running the country years ago did during prohibition, poisoning alcohol, killing thousands. It don't make sense a dealer killing his customers off, no money in that, unless the government is making it worth the cartels while, $$$$$ I URGE ALL OF YOU SUFFERING IN PAIN TO FIGHT BACK, JOIN SUPPORT GROUPS, AS MANY ARE ARRANGING PROTESTS/RALLYS WITH MEDIA ATTENTION. THIS IS INHUMANE, BARBARIC AND IT IS TORTURE!! -

Everyone please look me up on Facebook as there are many more that need signing as I've been advocating this issue for many months use my name & location & you'll find me. The DEA knows we're not responsible as legal legitimate pain patients yet, they won't let out doctors treat us. However, as I stated before the letter from Debra Houry, MD, MPH Director of the CDC states were to get our meds, it's not a law, doctors are to still have decision making as they know us, Its not intended to deny our opioid medication & they're only to reduce or taper dosage when the harm outweighs the benefits we've. CDC encourages physicians to use their clinical judgement. It's the intention of the Guidelines to ensure people who need them have access to opioids, while reducing opioid related deaths. They failed to mention as the CDC knows that the overdoses are coming from those that've OD'd on Heroin, those that took them from Mommy, Daddy & Grandmoms med cabinets when they didn't dispose of them when done. It's the young ones that saw OxyContin or Oxycodone & said "Oh I heard we can get high on these, that led them to heroin as they're ADDICTS, not Chronic Pain Patients that Don't want to use them but must to function. We're being denied our Constitutional Right to Life, Liberty & The Pursuit of Happiness as we can't function without them, be with our families, have jobs with income as we DON'T GET HIGH ON THEM - WE FUNCTION!! AN ADDICT SEEKS OUT TO GET HIGH & RUINS THEIR LIFE & THAT OF THEIR FAMILY & FRIENDS WHILE US IN CHRONIC PAIN HAVE A LIFE & OUR FAMILIES WHEN WE HAD OUR OPIOIDS. Now they're denying us them where are we to go but to Disability, whom will pay for this? Many are taping notes to themselves as they commit suicide saying " I didn't take my life with Opioids, I took my life as without them I'm nothing, I can't support or be with my family as I once did, so they're better without me & im better without the constant pain my doctor left me in because of the CDC, DEA & Government Agencies that took my life away".Many are now being sued by family members as they lost their loved one because their doctor feared the DEA & since they abandoned my spouse, partner, son, daughter or other family or friend, they in fact committed malpractice. The doctor need to look into a great attorney who is in Florida but goes to all states & tells them NOT to cave to the DEA when they come in saying lies about them overprescribing. The one on my Facebook gives our docs step by step directions online what to do if the DEA walks in with their scare tactics, mostly without an arrest warrant & says if they're going to arrest you, let them as they'll fight & WIN. Let's all write to the CDC & DEA & tell them they'll have a lot of blood on their hands as they already do. Legal law abiding citizens are now turning to the streets to get heroin as they're abandoned by their doctors only to get carfentanyl laced heroin. In one town last week they had 30 deaths from it & when onREPORT COMMENTS

Im going through this right now i have debilitating back neck and shoulder pain due to an auto accident in 2006.Every doctor tells me to try ice and diclofinac or tramadol(the latter being very dangerous and addictive) these meds only cause side effects and do very little for pain mind you im in intense pain from the moment i wake up until i lay in bed for hours trying to block out the pain so i can sleep on a good night it takes 3 hours of laying there to fall asleep if you want to call it sleep i just toss and turn all night oxycodone is the only medication that helps bottom line.ive exhausted all other possibilities this medication is the only thing that takes my pain away and i cannot get it from doctors because they are on a power trip and think im going to become addicted? Addicted no tolerant yes its a necessary evil when battling pain i tell u now i would rather take it everyday than to suffer every day of my life its been ten long painful years and its not going to get better if it hasent now.please change things i cant imagine how many other people with worse pain are going through the same scrutiny.REPORT COMMENTS

I am a recently abandonded pain patient from the Seattle Pain Center. The DEA and the state of WA came down so hard on this clinic for what seems to be rightful reasons (for over a possible 60 deaths). Dr. LI did not monitor his patients enough, used medical assistants and ARNPs to do things they were not trained or credentialed enough to do. And over billed medicaid for UAS done in his in-house lab. Sadly many of us legitimage SPC pain patients are now abandoned from pain management and pain interventions. I am disabled and I have the state apple insurance. No doctor will take me in. I was on low dose Norco and getting injections to help me with my painfull spinal issues (confirmed by mri and xrays). Yet I and most of us real chronic pain folks are lumped in with drug seekers and drug abusers. Problem is we are turned away to suffer. Some of do consider suicide if our pain reaches a certain level that we cannot tolerate it one more minute. At least in WA we can get recreational mmj. But myself being a patient who has never smoked nor wants too, and cannot afford the medibles because of the high sin tax have so few options. The CDC. DEA have made an ill thought of mandate and laws that has consequences for those who have severe pain. The gold standard treatment for my condition is a conservative treatment of Norco and injections. Now I cannot get that treatment that helped me have a better life with less pain. :(REPORT COMMENTS

Compassionate consideration for the suffering of others includes people in pain. Its part of revernece for life. The DEA is egregious to deny their efforts harm people in pain. We should move to require all employees at the DEA to take courses on ethics, pain care and social intelligence. We should call for a GAO report on their disempathic measures and their heavy handed right wing authoritariansim. Trust me 15 minutes debate with me and the DEA and the American public will know how ignorant and incompetent the DEA is.REPORT COMMENTS

After 2 blown discs in my low back, the sciatic pain is unbearable. The DEA needs to focus on regulating cigarettes and alcohol before they try to pry in people's lives who need pain medication just to focus on their daily routine and work to pay taxes $$$$. I pay over $500 per month on health care, and $140 per orthopedic appt. to only recently have my pain meds starting to be cut back after an injury in 2011. This is unfair and is considered inadequate treatment.REPORT COMMENTS

My doctor made me sign a narcotic agreement that I would not take any other prescription medications that was any type of narcotic. I couldn't believe it! I have been "let go" by my doctor who refuses to prescribe narcotics to me anymore. I run out of my meds in a few days and cannot find a doctor who will take a chronic pain patient anywhere. When my current meds run out, my pain (from Interstitial Cystitis, which can and does for me, cause pain compared to a cancer patient's..) will be horrendous. I can not face it. Hello! I have fybromyalgia and suffer from chronic muscle and joint pain. This situation terrifies me. No one wants to live in pain. Its so horrible to have a disease that on the outside you look fine, but on the inside you're battling something that doesn't go away, EVER. I DO AGREE THAT SOME PAITIENTS DO NOT NEED ANY KIND OF PAIN MEDS PRESCRIBED! There are addicts that do go from doctor to doctor just to get high. But, a decision to give medication to a patient SHOULD BE LEFT UP TO THE PERSON WITH THE MEDICAL DEGREE AND NOT THE GOVERNMENT!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Chronic pain has ruined my life! But most of all its the DEA, PCPs and pain clinics that have put an end to my life. I've run the loop with Dr's and referrals and have gotten help momentarily and then discharged for alot of ludicrous reasons. Leading to physical withdrawal and tons of emotional pain. Because of the neglect and runaround I've got, I now have ptsd and anxiety. I fear going to the drs, ERs or anything medical thats supposed to be there for help. I am now a recluse and can't wait for my time to expire. I no longer fear death, sometimes I pray for it! I don't even know what to say, I'm at a loss for words. I wish some of the head honchos would try to walk in my shoes for the day. Why have license to prescribe meds if you don't? Whatever happened to the hippocratic oath? I know it's their livelihood, but you should get into medicine to help people and not your pocketbook!REPORT COMMENTS
