Our family has already been ruined by a Dr. falsely accusing my husband. To the point of getting him fired because we turned her in for unprofessional behavior. So now he gets verbally abused by Dr every time he goes and he lost his job of 7 years because his dr falsely accused him. -

I am fortunate to have a great pain management doctor who works with me to treat my pain in a manner we're both comfortable with. In the past though, that's a whole different story, being told that narcotic medication was contraindicated for my type of pain, and refused any. I'm on a relatively small dose now, but it's enough and both myself and my pain management doctor are very comfortable with it. He asks me every visit though if I'm getting enough relief, and to make sure and let him know if things change. I know I'm lucky, so I'm signing this for all those who aren't as fortunateREPORT COMMENTS

BEING ONE OF THOSE PATIENTS WITH AUTO IMMUNE AND CHRONIC PAIN ISSUES, I AM TOLD THAT I WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH THIS.THE REST OF MY LIFE. PAIN MEDICATION GIVES ME A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE. NOT ALL PATIENTS ARE ILLEGALLY USING DRUGS. THE DOCTOR SHOULD BE GIVEN THE RIGHT TO DECIDE WHO REALY NEEDS THEM. THEY KNOW A PATIENTS DIAGNOSIS. AS FAR AS BECOMMING ADDICTED, I DONT THINK THATS A BIG ISSUE SINCE ITS A LIFE LONG PROBLEM ANYWAY. THEY HELP ME TO LIVE A NORMAL DAY. I HAVE TO CHOOSE VERY CAREFULY WHEN I CAN USE THEM. I AM LIMITED TO VERY FEW AND I NEED TO LIVE A LIFE THAT ANY OTHER PERSON MY AGE IS ABLE TO DO. I HOPE YOU RE THINK THE RESTRAINTS YOU PUT ON DOCTORS FOR THEIR ABILITY TO KNOW THEIR PATIENTS. ITS THE ONES WITH SERIOUS DRUP PROBLEMS AND NOT PAIN PROBLEMS THAT MISUSE AND ABUSE. NOT THE HAVING TO LIVE WITH CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS. THEY ARE NOT ABOUT TO GIVE OR SELL THEIR MEDICATIONS BECAUSE THEY HAVE A SINCERE NEED FOR THEM. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ MY STATEMENTREPORT COMMENTS

We need to let these DEA agents live with pain for just a week and see how they like it--working and all with pain! They could not do it--I'll even bet there are ones that don't tell---what is the Director a Scientologist? I have suffered with several auto immune disease for 25+ years and I'm only 49. The for 20 years, I suffered and had lost my businesses and All quality of life. I finally decided if I couldn't live life with some quality, those was no need to live. Luckily I found a combination of pain pills that gave me my life back. I didn't choose chronic pain and I beg of you not to take these away from the truly needy. Instead concentrate on the abusers! All I want is to live and be able to get out of the bed daily and spend some time with my family. No one should have to suffer and debate suicide.REPORT COMMENTS
