I am a chronic pain patient I have tried to end My life because. Doctors pain doctors don't Want to treat me only stick needles in me that Just don't work any longer What right do you Have to tell a pain patient they can only have 80mg of morphine a day when 150mg is the only Amount that help ease the pain to get through The day. So we can get out of bed and make It through the day. Because of my pain I am A very mean person I have no patients for people Around me not my family or strangers I will couse A person out for the smallest reason. All because Of pain for 15years. My disc in my back keep Falling apart rods and screws in neck and low Back the middle is next Don't tell me I'm a durg Attic I am a person in pain every damn day.. I could say so much more. You live with my pain For a week and you would beg and cry to stop It -

I have a brain tumor in my optical area which after radiation shunk the tumor but left scarring which causes constant auras and migraines due to sunlight or floresant lighting, even minimal lighting to reflect in my brain hitting that tumor scar and flaring into aura and migraines. I even went to mayo clinic I am on nuerontin, verapamil. I only receive 10 0.5 lorazapam and 60 norco a month. I am treated at The university of Chicago. I've also have had 4 occipital nerve blocks in 1 years time and I can't endure another one. Please understand and hear the painful crys imposed on the legitimately suffering. We are a voice and we are constituents and we are a large voting block and right now feel thrown under the bus with our personal physicians. I believe we in pain are also MADD as Hell. You want to go after those who abuse drugs, go for it. Personally as we unite you will find yourself out of office. This new regulation was in October and you saw the effect in November. Since we can't function as well due to the pain inflicted upon us we have more time to vote you the hell out of office.REPORT COMMENTS

I have been dropped now from all pain management in my small town. Not for abuse, in fact never " lost" a script, or needed more then prescribed, Even was over prescribed several years ago and requested help to not be on 24 pills.I suffer. I suffer horribly. I have had every tests, multiple times, poked, prodded, scans and rayed. I have been on every joke of Big Pharm scams, Neurontin, Celebrex, Cymbalta, and on and on. I also have been on some sort of pain medication for over 15 yrs and without it I am like today, I have sat up for four nights, no sleep, rocking and contemplating ending it. I will not live like this, this is not life. But I was just dropped by last Dr because, I attempted to use an alternative medication CBD ( not pot) since I am getting worse and not better I had to try. I told her I would not be in for over 50 days in case there was THC (which there was not) in my system so I test clean.. I had stashed enough codeine to last a couple months by cutting my intake.( only was in two 10 mg a day by my request so I could sleep without the relentless leg pain even though I know have horrible arthritis in my feet where I often literally have to crawl the 10 feet to the bath room, I just want to sleep) Sometime in that 2 month period, you all decided that drug addicts will somehow cease to find prescription meds that are overdosing thousands by their own doing not by most Doctors, When I called for my appointment as for I was running low on the few meds I needed for pain at night, my quack ( always was a quack when it came to calling back for appointments) took 3 weeks to call me in for appointment. I **** tested as usual knowing I had nothing but legally prescribed Valium that was prescribed along with my codeine ( Anxiety and stress exasperate my pain and I have over three bottles of Valium from the past two years as for I use it only when unable to sleep for days on end from stress or anxiety) When I got in her office she accused me of cock-tailing and said new DEA laws forced her to drop me. I was not cock tailing, I was using legally prescribed medications as prescribed. I was now dropped cold turkey with zero referrals and no more Drs to treat. The one prior who got me on Fentynal and this was a blessing. I was not up every 2-4 hours chasing pain and for the first time in over 4 yrs could take my dog for a walk now and then, do dishes, cook a mean, take a shower, basic life things I have not been able to do, she dropped me with Feds told her she had to meet criteria her office was not equipped to do and the pain management center prior dropped me because after being subjected to three rounds of invasive back injections and having to be put under to do so, which was resulting in zero relief I refused to do them ( they where costing tax payers over $3800 a month by the way what a scam) and they lied saying I refuse a urine and oral swab. Never refused a urine and never heard of an oral swab til then. So now I sit her this morningREPORT COMMENTS

I've been a chronic pain patient for over a decade. I have an aortic arch aneurysm now and due to my poor health surgery is not an option. Now, the "law" has forced my family physician to send me to a pain clinic. I cannot tolerate those long hours. The shot's they put in my spine years ago did not help me and I'm sure I can no longer tolerate them. It's absurd, since that I do not have long to live that I'm being subjected to this. I live in Kentucky, and they have passed these laws without regard for those who are truly in need. It's a shame my last hours on earth may be spent waiting to see a doctor in some pain clinic. My family physician has my pain under control and he kept seeing me even after the law was passed putting himself at risk of violating the law. The laws will only change when enough legislators families are suffering. Or the legislators themselves.REPORT COMMENTS

By the power invested in you, YOU MUST overturn this cruel and unusual punishment TODAY. They have caused millions upon millions of pain sufferers more misery than should be allowed by the government; only to represent, and for the sake of, dead people who, by their own hands, met their fate. What about those who still have chronic pain but the doctors are not and will not prescribe HCPs? What about the pain sufferers who were inhumanely cut off their HCPs literally overnight? I have been treated for chronic pain for several years and I just found out that the DEA is dictating that pain medicaiton (opiates) cannot exceed 100 mg per day combined. I have been prescribed much more than this and I follow all the rules. I get physical therapy and take urine tests every 28 days. I have never broken the rules and I think the Doctor should have the right to prescribe to patients as long as the rules are followed. I have never went to more than one doctor and I take my medicine as prescribed. This major reduction in my medicine is inhumane.REPORT COMMENTS

The DEA is the direct reason for this tragic fallout on chronic pain sufferers as I believe this war was perfectly planned out many years before it's inception which is now an industry fueled by FEAR AND UGLINESS . The DEA did it without any remorse or a single thought about any the end results they implemented on us. Well, the end results are here and the results are hmmmm we have needless suffering, suicides are on the rise, immobilized people in pain has increasing dramatically, a HUGE rise in heroin use is coming back strong to every city in America. It is so disgusting to me that it is easier now to get heroin off the street than to LEGALLY go to your doctor, get a prescription, and simply get it filled at your pharmacy. MY GOD those three steps have turned into one of the biggest pain in the*****hassles of my life. I look forward to my monthly OMG are there going to have my medication? Am I going to be harassed again by that employee, or will they thrown my prescription back at me like I am an subhuman? Am I going to go on that dreaded pharmacy to pharmacy run all over the damn city just to find my medication, or will I be curled up again in the fetal position in bed because I cannot receive my therapy. Every single one of us deals with this now every single month of our painful freaking daily lives. Ever since the DEA WAR ON DRUGS campaign has FAILED, will continue to fail, they needed to divert there resources, keep there billion dollar budgets going, and of course there cushy jobs secure so hey lets turn against the drug industry in America and Americans. How is it that all these pill mills popped up across America overnight practically and were totally out of control for years prescribing millions and millions of pills without there hmmmmm alarm going off? Was there no oversight? Come on give me a break! the DEA allowed these pill mills to run there courses that began killing thousands and thousands of ILLEGITIMATE non chronic pain sufferers ..then ohhh yes.....the DEA began their well planned out invasion to take over and control every aspect of this industry. The Pain Management Community is in shambles and we now have an epidemic that's so out of control with no checks and balances......and OHHHH look its the DEA our heroes to put a stop to this horrible segment of America, its the DEA DONG DONG DONG... and then the arrests of doctors, fines of millions of dollars to the big pharmacies, closings of pain clinics all over America, all compliments and of course our heroes the DEA. THE DEA had turned the chronic pain Industry into a police state which threatens, harasses, and controls the manufacturing segment that slowed down production to a crawl.....and any of you non conformers will be arrested and prosecuted. THEN the Fear and ignorance spreads across America through the news channels like a disease OMG that word PAIN PILL means so many awful bad demon words now, words like junkie, addict, drug user, doctor shoppers, pharmacy lookREPORT COMMENTS

There is only an ability to breathe a little better and stoppage of a horrible cough. My dentures need repairs, but I've been out of this house twice in over 6 months, both times to the doctor. I have severe osteo-arthritis of the spine. I have severe DDD of the lumbar spine, I have also had 2 failed laminectomies on the lumbar spine years ago that left me in serous pain to this day it will not go away as long as I take a breath. I also have severe DDD of the cervical spine. I had to have 6 levels fused with 12 pedicle screws and 2 rod's. I have had every procedure known to man on the lumbar and a lot on the cervical spine and nothing works due to the advanced disease. I have taken NSAID'S like that doctor recommends from PROP"Sdoctors, the ones that say there should be a 90 day limit on opiate use and a certain mg. of daily use that cannot be exceeded. Basically they threaten to destroy thousands of lives with not even a second thought. Their propaganda videos are very convincing. They say the drug companies and doctors are all in bed with eachother. What about them they are in the Billion dollar business of drug rehab. Their top doctor recommends using NSAID;S for pain instead of opiates. Well those wonder drugs according to their top doctor landed me in the hospital with bleeding ulcers, and almost killed me. This EXPERT on pain according to himself recommends this as an alternative to opiates for pain he even states that he too suffers from severe pain and takes NSAID'S. This expert PROP doctor didn't even know the statistics on NSAID's and how they kill more people per year than all opiates. The fact is I don't have the one disease these experts feel is worthy of being taken seriously, cancer. NON CANCER pain is what I have and according to the latest group of experts non cancer pain is pretty much all in our heads or we should just take an aspirin. One day this will touch everyone as you or your loved ones will find them selves in this situation. That is when you will begin to know the discrimination, the stigma of chronic pain. Unless of course you have cancer???? This is one of the most stupid arguments I have ever heard. Ask any pain management expert and they will tell you there are many diseases and conditions just as painful as cancer. Some non cancer patients are in more pain than cancer patients. This whole drug war and torture of pain patients should be against the law. Pain patients are not the problem. The problem is all the idiots who use drugs when they don't need them. Punishing pain patients will not help the war on drugs it will only cause allot of agony and suffering on innocent people who have the disease called chronic pain. Torture is supposed to be illegal in the US yet the DEA is doing it every day by scaring doctors and pharmacists and pain advocates with the threat of the law. What kind of cowardly people allow this .Remember one day it could be you or your spouse or child that get's an injury or disease that will leave them in chroinic pain, then you will know the hell the rest of us are forced to live in. I wouldn't wish this on anyoneREPORT COMMENTS

Forcing me to submit a urine drug screen every month, to drive an hour and a half round trip each month to pick up my prescriptions (since my doctor's office requires a signature to verify I've received them), and forcing me to fill out a three page, single-spaced "pain contract" every year that requires my initials on EACH of thirty ridiculous and offensive statements ("I will not sell my medications," "I will not harass the staff in my doctor's office," etc.) as if I I'm an out of control junkie, IS NOT TREATING ME WITH RESPECT. In ten years of using opiates to treat chronic pain, I have never lost or abused a prescription, harassed or abused my doctor, her staff, or my pharmacist. And I never will. And my doctor knows that. But these LAWS are forcing the medical system to act like the penal system and treat me as if I am a criminal. Enough must be enough. Chronic pain patients DESERVE RESPECT. Everyone, EVERYONE is a heartbeat away from being in our shoes. Go after the bad guys, not the pain patients. WE HAVE BECOME THE VICTIMS IN THE WAR ON OPIATES.REPORT COMMENTS

My doctor is moving, so I am having to find a new doctor. When I call the doctors in my area to see if they take my insurance, I given the answer along with 'but we will not prescribe narcotics or anxiety medication'. I don't NEED these, at the moment, but if something happened it would be nice to have one doctor who would be able to do everything. No doctor in my area will prescribe one of these. You have to go to the emergency room if needed. The emergency room will only help you once. After that, it is considered a chronic problem and you need to find a primary care doctor to help you. (even though no doctor will help with these) The side-effects and risks of ODing on over the counter pain meds are much more likely in these situations. Honestly, if I ever do get to the point of needing pain meds for a chronic problem, I am better off committing suicide. When a doctor recommends meditation for chronic pain (knee replacement surgery, chronic degenerative back pain) there is a problem. (this is my experience in my area from trying to find a new PCP, having to take my son to the ER for an allergic reaction and talking to the Doctor and nurses there, and experience with my step-dad's doctor, who quit prescribing pain meds for his above conditions and told him he recommended meditation)REPORT COMMENTS
