Criminalizing chronic pain patients should be illegal. Suffering in pain is the worst type of oppression. The states are aiding and abetting the illegal drug users on Heroin with Methadone clinics while dehumanizing the chronic pain patients with legislation outlawing the medicine and the bullying of doctors that treat people. Its a backward, pathetic ignorant approach to economic problems.

I received a call today from my Dr.'s office canceling my appt for this Friday, indicating I had been "dismissed" from his practice - no reason given. (2) days before I was suppose to get refill RX's. Yes, I am a chronic pain sufferer. I have done all that he asked, re: scans, blood tests, tests and more tests. He recently told me I had a growth in neck which could possibly causing my severe migraine headaches. I also suffer from severe osteoporosis (inherited from my Mother). I am in constant pain and have no idea where to turn. I pray that relief will come soon. I'm starting to believe he is ONLY a Dr. for the money. He used to care about my health, but he has Not cared about me or the 100's of patients he sees daily in a very long time. Please help us, it is a proven fact that people who are treated for their pain by their Dr. live longer and have some quality of life. We, chronic pain sufferers need someone in the legislation to support us. WE ARE NOT DRUG DEALERS!!!

I have a chronic pain disorder called ankylosing Spondylitis, a form of RA. It causes constant pain, bone fusing in the spine, ribs and neck and poison and swelling inn the joints, along with a host of other symptoms. We cannot survive without our poison medication and should not have to not be tested like criminals or drug seekers when we need a prescription or a refill.

Chronic pain is debilitating. The underlying cause is often incurable. It steals not only our physical health, but also eats at our minds...it causes depression, self esteem issues, fear and anxiety, loss of employment, loss of spouse and sometimes even children. It causes brain fog that seriously feels like you are losing the one thing left that is "you", your thoughts, learning, intelligence. The exhaustion is so overwhelming you become afraid to drive. Yet, pain medication can manage much of this. I know, when I was able to get prescribed pain medicine I did not get "high". It did not make me goofy or loopy. It did not "knock me out". On hydrocodone/aceto 10/325 I got a little drowsy but during the first 20 minutes, but after that I had energy and could actually achieve a reduction in pain enough to do something! I could vacuum and do dishes. I could walk down to the mailboxes and back again! The pain was not gone...not by a long shot. But it was better. If I had been able to use pain medication at work, I would still have a job. But, alas, I cannot get pain medication. So I have no quality of life. I have a disease that will only get worse and will steal more and more of my life and abilities and the pain will only get worse. And there is nothing I can do to change that. I am incurable and not a pill seeker. I seek life which is currently beyond my reach.

Pain is no joke. I didn't choose this life, it was chosen for me with abuse and now I suffer debilitating pain everyday. Pain meds BARELY take the edge off for an hour here and there at the lame dosage I'm on. The government has no right budding into our lives and trying to limit our pain relief. If I didn't have anything to take the edge off I too would consider taking my life, not like I haven't considered it before.

It is cruel to make people suffer. Being in pain means being discriminated upon by doctors, pharmacists, and others. I can understand why people go with illegal street drugs.

I've suffered for the last 19 years, getting worse each year....tried everything imaginable until narcotics had to be used. I seriously would consider taking my life if I had to live with the chronic pain and no opiates. The drugs barely take the edge off but do offer me a few hours a day outside my home per week. Please allow my pain clinic to be able to do their job without being afraid of scrutiny. By the way, alcohol is a WAY more serious problem. I don't drink, don't like "feeling high", oh the irony. What I wouldn't give to have the opportunity for a pain free existence but my genetics are working against me. Do you think I enjoy losing my life bit by bit? I'm scared to death every day that I'll be left curled up in a ball of nothingness because it hurts to walk across the room?! It's hard enough accepting chronic pain and the depressing life that goes with it! PLEASE STOP intensifying the hype all over the news and focus on illegal drugs sold by dealers, not my caring, compassionate doctor who chose her career out of love. I hope to God I will never be forced to choose between buying from dealers or suicide. I can barely afford my prescriptions so I guess it would be the latter :( NO JOKE! IF ONLY SOME OF THE BACKERS OF THIS MOVEMENT COULD LIVE IN MY BODY JUST ONE DAY, they'd change their tune. Thanks for listening....really appreciate it!

why is there not a petition here to protect pain patients , to stop the war on legitimate pain patients and doctors . the dea lies , they told us there is no real proof that opiats are effective for long term care , that is because one needs to be able to work as proof , not that they receive care that allows them to not live in tortured state of being !! they call the va , doctors drug pushers and patients just want to get high . in reality people eliagable for on going pain care have legitimate need for this medication , a standard of care by federal pain management guidelines . yet they continue to give small dosage with acephedamin that has killed many as many take more of the liver killing aceipheamin in trying to kill the pain . the standard is morphine and other non compounds . they also give anti depressants out freely that side effects are addiction , suicide and depression and many other side effects , yet never related this fact to suicieds . they have forced the price up for opiates by survallance , drug testing and forcing legitimate pain patients into rehab in order to be treated for being dependant on opiats that they lost without due process , this is part of obamas billion dollar scam . in reality it is torture for all those forced of effective pain management . stop the drug wars stop the torture. addiction is a choice pain a killer , obamas death panel

So I addressed my outrage and concerns over this INHUMANE treatment with not only writing to the CDC, FDA, you Hitler wana-bes , but the DEA as well. The DEA was so kind enough (gag me) to reply to my letter, This letter was the most uncaring, cold as ice letter I have yet to read. Of course, they pretty much say they are not to blame. Well enlighten me here, why is it that 99% of legitimate pain patients are all hearing the same thing from their doctors!? Why are our doctors lowering our meds and taking them away, saying they do not want to risk their license, that the DEA is threatening our doctors, instilling fear in them if they treat with pain meds!? The DEA also included an eight page attachment of their rules and guidelines, In it, it clearly states that Pain Medication is not to be denied to legitimate pain sufferers, it also states that doctors prescribing pain medications and violating the CSA is EXTREMELY low and that there is no crackdown happening with the DEA. So if this is true, then why the hell is the government continuing this witch hunt against our doctors, against legitimate chronic intractable pain sufferers, why the hell are we being forced to endure excruciating pain when there are medications that ease our pain and suffering!? The DEA is as corrupt as they come, so I do NOT believe it when they say they are not targeting our doctors. That's a huge lie! Do you have any idea how many innocent people's lives you are destroying by taking their lifeline/pain meds away!? Do you have any idea how many innocent people have committed suicide due to inadequate pain relief, because their meds were lowered or taken away, leaving them two options, turn to the streets for relief or suicide. How many of you are dependent on pain medication or your loved ones!? I bet there are MANY of you! But none of you have to jump thru the hoops just to get relief! THIS DISCRIMINATION AGAINST LEGITIMATE CHRONIC INTRACTABLE PAIN SUFFERERS NEEDS TO END NOW. YOU ALL NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE LIES YOU CONTINUE TO THROW OUT TO THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY. YOU NEED TO COME FORWARD AND ADMIT TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THE HUGE MISTAKE YOU ALL MADE, STATING THERES AN OPIOD EPIDEMIC THAT THE MEDIA WENT WILD WITH, WHEN THERE IS NO EPIDEMIC. YOU WANT TO TARGET SOMETHING, HOW ABOUT TARGETING ALCOHOL, A DRUG THAT KILLS WAY MORE PEOPLE!

I'm Joy and I used to be full of Joy I'm 24 years old for Christ's sake! And I went from going to college swimming playing sports to being bedridden for days from my chronic pain......now all I'm full of is nonnarcotic pain meds killing my liver. I've been to 2 pain clinics and both have decided that i am not a candidate for opiates because of my age and past medical history. By the time i turned 18 i had been in 3 bad car accidents, thrown off horses countless times, injured myself playing sports....let's just say I worked hard and played even harder!!! Let's start with my issues that have caused me to gain over 45 pounds in the past year and now keep me from finishing my

For people with chronic pain they need these medications. If you have to regulate it pee test them . This is way our kids are dying From buying drugs on the street because it's so hard to get help. And our cancer , chronic illnesses what are they to do ? Or don't you care until you have to watch a loved one go through it !!
