Intro of the inconsistent functional converter box now looks like a tool to frustrate people, forcing them into predatory companies like comcast cable, at&t, dish and many others. How is it that old technology like analog tv works better than the newer converter technology.

The government shouldn't force changes like this, or with light bulbs, or healthcare. I am impressed with OTA digital tv, but it needs to be recognized that analog tv still has its advantages. Bring back analog tv.

I can see the towers from my house and can barely get channels no matter what antenna or TV I use! Yeah, it looks better when it works....(25% of the time).

I hate Digital TV, it's the worst, I am always getting a lousy signal right in the middle of good shows, I'm missing jokes, or commentary. It really annoying and I don't like it. I thought digital TV would make my life better, but hear I am at 2:30 in the morning with no signal. I am missing Every Body Loves Ramond. If this continues then I have no choice but to just give up TV all together.

What a huge con! Reception sucks. Digital broadcast TV is unwatchable, totally undependable at best. I can't believe I bought into this whole idea that there would be a new birth of great quality broadcast television. I'm inside the Washington Beltway, and I can't even get the major DC outlets without hooking up the old roof antenna I'm glad I didn't take down. And forget about portable TV. The FCC broke it completely. It must have been a plan to free up and sell off bandwidth to special interests.

Please bring back analog tv's. We were just fine all these years with the analog tv's. Not one problem. Then here comes the lcd and plasma tv's. They've been having all sorts of problems here and there. No, no, no I say! We deserve the right to have an option to what we want to purchase. I choose the analog tv's loud and clear. Please consider all of our concerns as we are the ones buying these televisions.

The stations I used to watch for years I can no longer enjoy after the digital conversion in 2009. I fuggin HATE digital signal tv. ANALOG is much more superior because the signal was ALWAYS available. You'd never get "weak signal" or "signal not found" with Analog. **** you FCC and US Federal Government for ****ing up a good thing. AND A REAL BIG **** YOU TO WPVI, 6ABC IN Philadelphia. Those *******S didn't establish a virtual digital channel in the UHF band like every other station did so their signal is nonexistent most of the time.

The picture is horrible on digital televisions and they usually break after a year or two. We have bought 3 TV's since 2006. Bring back analog TV's, please!

Because of the digital transition, I can't use my old TV's without hooking up a converter box. And all of my portable TV's are useless. I don't even get digital reception half the time, I really want analog back.

Can't even watch TV anymore because of how horrible it it. Why fix something that's not broken? Most likely someone made a bunch of money from this, sounds like our government... For once can y'all stop thinking with your pocketbooks and think of the public as a whole...

I strongly believe that analog television should be brought back. i find it to be a shame that all of the previously used sets are being thrown by the wayside due to the major factor that the VHF and UHF bands where no longer used for television. I find digital television to be inadequate for emergency alert broadcasting due to how unreliable i have found it to be.

I remember the fun we used to have with those portable TVs while camping. They also provided weather warnings and news too. My question is why would they switch to digital if analog works so well. They should instead broadcast both types.

During the storm Sandy our cable went out if we had analog TV we would have been able to get warnings and information needed. Switching all to cable was a bad move. They should have both cable and analog. I believe it is in the public's best interest and safety.

Sound on digital tv is often muted and ruins many classic tv and tv movies. I will go back to reading books if this doesn't change.

There are so many reasons to bring back analog. Quality of signal transmission is much better. Also There are millions of lower income families are penalized for being poor and now have no access to information
