Dtv is horrible. I have spent way too much time effort and $$ for such a crappy result. I don't get why we had to reinvent the wheel in the first place. And the end result is that we have once again made something that should be free and easy to obtain next to impossible to have for less affluent people. Please fix this problem.REPORT COMMENTS

I hate the fact that the public was forced into it. Nobody asked us if we wanted it. Was a vote held that we missed? I don't want nor can I afford cable. I want analog back. If it rains bad TV, if its windy bad TV, if a truck goes by bad TV, if a plane flies over bad TV, etc. etc., etc. The list goes on and on and on, just like bad TV.REPORT COMMENTS

Just put things back the way it was with broadcast television! What in hell good is all those extra digital channels when the most of them is over the digital cliff that you cannot receive. At least with analog you could a signal that was perfectly watchable over a wide range of signal level. All this because a buncha idiots had to have HD. I have never understood mans insatiable desire to over complicate the simple !REPORT COMMENTS

Digital TV is dumb TV. I have had it with the signal breaking up when I'm really into a program. I will not be forced into buying cable and therefor I buy Netflix, only $12.99 a month for my son and myself and I can watch what I want, when I want without missing out on anything because if the computer slows, I can always start where I left off at and not miss a thing. The FCC could care less about the American people and their need to be informed whenever possible through local stations. They know what they have done but they seem to get digitally dumb and dumber. The FCC should stand for FICKELED CABLE*****S.REPORT COMMENTS

Digital TV is HORRIBLE and it SUCKS that I can actually get 10+ religious channels (strong signal too!) but not the 3 network channels which are less than 12 miles away from me using an outside antenna and amplified setup! We should at least be able to have access to FREE cable channels that offer all locals and not have to pay a box rental or an HD fee!! I have already tried the option of super basic cable (locals only) and it was nearly $50 per month!!REPORT COMMENTS

For the safety of our community's WE NEED DEPENDABLE TV BACK WHETHER IT BE DIGITAL OR ANALOG. People need local tv for weather, news, and etc. and it's a shame that cable and dish company's (being the only DEPENDABLE option for local tv) have a financial benefit from the programs that provide safety for our communities.REPORT COMMENTS

Digital Television is horrible! Before the conversion I received 10 Boston channels, 5 Providence channels and 1 Hartford Channel. Now I only receive 3 from Providence. I can't even receive all the Providence channels available and it is only 10 miles from here! At the very least, require the local broadcasters to provide an analog signal to low income and those living in rural areas. Please listen to the people and not the special interests!REPORT COMMENTS

Digital TV is painful to watch unless you have a cable running directly from the transmitter to your TV (i.e. CATV). Where a hit of static would be barely noticeable on analog (and lots of static was still watchable), any minor static or interference completely kills the signal for several seconds. This happens even with a 70 mile range antenna pointed directly at a station less than 5 miles away and no hills in between (signal level meter still reports only about 50% tops). Either make the digital TV signal smooth and watchable in real world conditions or go back to what worked: NTSC analog.REPORT COMMENTS

What would americans do in the event of an emergency or catastrophe!!! Digital TV constantly cuts out with not a good antenna and even then it still cuts out with movement of wind and interference from other things. I feel that the switchover was a waste of money and valuable time. in the event of a tornado or hurricane people would be lost and lives would be in danger because of poor signalREPORT COMMENTS

I am in the middle class income range. I can afford cable. But I only watch PBS, news and a couple of other things which are available on regular TV. So I do not see a big enough benefit for the cost of cable. although I would sometimes get a snowy picture, it was far easier to get channels with analog TV. I've bought expensive digital receivers but still find digital TV to be problematic. The same station with the receiver in the same position will switch from being fine to nothing within short periods of time. Even a train passing by a half mile away interrupts the signal. So do trucks. Someone turns on some device in a nearby apartment and the signal locks up. I would rather live with the occasional snowy picture than the sporadic nature of digital TV.REPORT COMMENTS
