The United States is now a third world country with a third world economic system and a third world communications infrastructure. This new United States will never be able to afford to provide the infrastructure, bandwidth and channel capacity required for a completely digital system. Hence, digital communications of all types will always be unreliable and intermittent. The "cloud" is a for the wealthiest people in the wealthiest locations and everyone else is just SOL. I have a new TV and an antenna. Right after the switch to DTV I was able to get 2.5 - 3 channels. Now I barely get one. It just keeps getting worse. Even if I could afford it I refuse to pay for 100 channels I don't want or need through cable or satellite. I can' even watch the 6 o'clock news anymore. I am convinced this was just another part of the government's plan to subjugate the masses and further line the already overflowing pockets of the wealthy elite. Thank God for NPR. Bring back analog TV, Digital TV does not work and I can never get a channel to come in right. And it's even worse during a storm. So much for watching the weather during a severe storm. I also do not live in the country, I live in Cary, NC just outside Raleigh. With analog I had many local stations, now with Digital, I have to constantly play with the antenna and I never actually get to watch TV. Digital sucks and we DEMAND analog come back, if you keep digital that's fine. but we DEMAND analog be put back on the airwaves too. Most TV stations still have the old equipment anyway.
