Not a day without disappointment. I long for the days of poor reception of watching fuzzy pictures and listening through static. At least then I could still be an actual viewer. I haven't had cable since 2003 and certainly do not miss the cost. I do miss being able to partake in some of the newest, fun looking programs. I mean, I loved the muppets growing up. I hear they're on again, but I cannot watch. I cannot even obtain that broadcast station, regardless of my plethora of antenna purchases. Whatever was to be accomplished with this move? Any chance advertisers or Nielson have noted any repercussions? Less revenue, less viewing? I have given up completely and only tolerate what news can be seen from the one channel that may come in when my partner needs to get the weather. But if it's already raining, forget it. Do something about this, please we as the public of the United States of America implore you to rework this into something that actually does work.

When did watching PBS become something you have to pay for in order to tune into clear picture and audio? Choosing to not pay unruly cable fees = choosing to have no local affiliate access at all. This is unsafe and elitest.

The quality of the digital over the air signal is so poor, I am unable to watch any television. Analog signals worked, digital signals do not.

I can no longer receive any channels, before I could and would get better signal, also many friends of mind that are homeless need analog for news and weather, and before they could use a portable tv, but of course no one thinks about the homeless, and how it might affect them, also since free digital is worse then cable you must get cabe just to watch anything decent, so now they charge hugh prices, so now the only choice I have is pay the ridiculous prices, or go without tv, weather before I could just watch analog tv, but I no longer have that option, so the government is giving me less options and taking away my choices and making cable prices go up, thank you so much for that Congress

I don't think I've been able to enjoy one single program with at least one line of dialogue being lost which is sometimes the most important line. I watch very little TV anymore because it is such a disappointment to watch an entire show for the whole thing to be spoiled by losing the punchline. this digital system is really the worst idea anybody ever had, but evidently they're one of those Rich fat cats that can afford cable and it doesn't matter what all of the underlings have to deal with as long as they can hide behind all of the political barriers that prevents us from our voices being noticed to make a change.

I'm constantly moving my aerial due to pixeling. At times I can't even get in the station. Our previous system worked better. Why did we change before the bugs were taken care of?

Digital tv is a joke and the only people laughing appear to be Washington politicians and cable/satellite companies. Since the change over we receive less than half of the channels that were available, signal is unreliable for those few. Birds, clouds, planes, etc all seem to disrupt the signal with the slightest ease. Even on bright sunny days with nothing going on the signal can become completely nonexistent. Bring back analog tv or make the digital technology better by boosting signal strengths.

As local WHAG TV has just lost NBC affiliation, and digital reception from Washington DC is poor, access to information (including good weather forecasts) is declining. Analog reception is far superior to digital and would mitigate the loss of local programming.

I have never had cable TV or satellite in the past 10 years I've always put up with antenna TV feeling it had enough channels however since the digital switch I am so sick of the TV glitching out one day it will work one day at work the reception quality for broadcast is just horrible I watch a channel that even broadcast only a few miles from my house yes the picture is a good quality one when it works which is usually only for a few minutes here and there my question is how many TVs have hit the land field now because people think a digital TV would be better when trying to connect a converter box to an old TV and what about weather interference we always know are reception goes horrible when it's a slight rain out sometimes what about our emergency broadcast let's say in the event of a tornado as I am here in the Midwest or if you're on the coast how about a hurricane if I can't get reception in light rain storm how am I supposed to find out if I am supposed to take shelter from a tornado from my television set never had a problem before we went to digital occasionally you had a problem with a Channel or two a slight adjustment of the antenna would take care of it now it just seems impossible to get great reception forcing people to have to buy cable or satellite or possibly even some internet just to watch TV why I ask if they boost the broadcast power 4 digital or go back to analog or allow a combination I remember when digital first came out they were broadcasting in digital and analog for a very short time why can't they allow both what is the point of having a TV anymore if you can't watch it even some of these companies advertising free broadcast TV just to sell an antenna because it's gotten so bad that some people have forgotten you can get TV through an antenna for free well you used to be able to now all you seem to get is glitchy interrupted TV so I'm asking all those in Washington to please try it to consider alternatives thank you

We live in Louisiana's capitol city, Baton Rouge, only a handful of miles from all the broadcast towers. We have 2 over-the-air TV's, one flat-screen and older one with digital converter box, both with outdoor antennas mounted on poles, above the roof. Neither receives a great signal (as the meter denotes by the green bar) on any area channels, and in many instances, especially in the afternoons and evenings, the signal drops out completely. "No Signal" over a dark screen is all we get for the 39 1-3, and sometimes, others too. Up at our rural family place near the AR line, we can't even pick up LPB, the public station. Same thing. Daytime, OK, nighttime, forget it. So, what gives? Are these stations allowed to power down at night to save money or something? I don't want to go back to analog. Just make the digital work! We pay First World prices and taxes for Third World goods and services! The USA is NOT THE THIRD WORLD! AMERICANS DESERVE BETTER! FIX IT NOW!

Had to get satellite because when the tv went digital I could not pick up a signal. Tv that once was free now costs me $100/month, and every time the wind blows wrong the picture pixelates and breaks up! We were all told that the original tv bands were being reclaimed for emergency signals, yet nothing has been done other than costing each of us thousands of dollars. This whole digital tv thing has been nothing but a scam!

Everytime a semi goes by, a train goes by, or the weather is bad digital TV screws up. I get so frustrated that I just stop watching the show. Thank God for Hulu and Netflix or I'd never watch shows. Unfortunately you have to pay for these but they are sooooo much cheaper than cable.

I live in the rural town of Grand Portage, Minnesota and I do not have any digital channels! It seems like there are only digital channels in urban areas! I have been to Los Angeles, California and Washington DC and seen digital channels, but they are just crap! Whenever it rains outside, the signal is lost and is all pixelated and stuff. I cannot afford cable or satellite broadcasting, and I'm sure at least a few other Americans live in the same state as me. I had found an old B/W TV In my aunts basement when she had passed on, I turned it on, and NOTHING WAS ON!!! If this petition is noticed and put into action, and the digital stations don't want to switch, that's fine by me! It just gives local communities an opportunity to broadcast local news, sports, events, and entertainment! If the FCC reads this comment, I would like them to know that Individual citizens or small groups SHOULD be able to broadcast on local frequencies whatever they want, whatever they want! If this issue doesn't get noticed soon, the government is gonna put a ban on analog RADIO! Think about all the car radios will have to be replaced and all of the great stations will be gone for good! WE WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR SHITTY DIGITAL RADIOS!!! Norway has already done it, and if we don't act fast, we will loose analog radio too!!! I'm not a particular fan of Donald Trump, but I could probably get away with saying this LETS MAKE TV GREAT AGAIN!!! TOGETHER!!! WE CAN DESTROY THE CORPRATE BEASTS THAT RUN THIS CAPITAL SOCIETY AND GIVE WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT!!! M A K E T V G R E A T A G A I N ! ! ! #maketvgreatagain

Anything digital sucks. What lemon the sheep have sold. No wonder everyone believes Congress is full of idiots and crooks. Our corrupt government shoves digital down our throats to kill regular broadcast TV so we will be forced to order cable or satellite TV from the degenerate communication corporations. Screw TV its only braindead sheep anyways.
