    Horse Slaughter should have been REFORMED not banned. Make stricter laws and regulations for horses GOING to slaughter, and for those WAITING to be slaughtered, not simply harder for them to be slaughtered in the US. That just means less jobs in the US and longer and less regulated (read: more PAINFUL) transportation methods while the horses are shipped to Canada and Mexico.

    None likes the thought of people consuming horses. Until the are shelters to dispose of unwanted horses like there are dogs and cats, there is no other option. There might as well be a benefit to their deaths. I do not like the thouht of my body being harvested when I die but i am still an organ donor.

    I've been a horse owner for 15 years. I love them dearly, but they are still livestock and we need to have an outlet for them that keeps their best interests in mind.
