See CDC story link below I have been afflicted with this for 2 years now. It has caused more than just an annoying skin disturbance. It has affected multiple organ systems as well. I was young and healthy before all of this. I am losing this battle . My health continues to deteriorate rapidly. My health concerns are dismissed by the medical community. I am repeatedly told I am delusional when i mention this all started after a bird left a nest that was attached to my house. Interesting that when the woman called 911 complaining of chest pain, the paramedics placed her in a protective hazardous materials suit. She was quarantined at hospital. No one was allowed in without wearing protective wear. No one is allowed to have direct contact with her .The treating MD stated it appears to be. Bird notes and that bird mites are tiny parasitic insects that are invisible to the naked eye . The skin specimens were sent to the CDC. This woman must have mentioned bird mites on her 911 call or the paramedics would not haves showed up wearing hazard wear .Again interesting how when the health workers were called upon to help her they didn't dismiss her complaints as being delusional. It's one thing for a doctor to respond "I don't know," because that can lead to "let's investigate," or even "let me refer you to someone else" but being told you are mentally ill, delusional, or simply wrong about what you have carefully witnessed, documented, tried to analyze and understand about your own body using as scientific an approach as possible feels like gas-lighting on an institutional, if not national or even worldwide level.REPORT COMMENTS

I've been told this is kp but got some relief using tea trea oil... Neem.. Borax.. Suffer ointments... Act... About 50% better but a constant fight with itching .. And new bumps daily.. White rice /salt things in skin... It's ridiculous something has yet to be done .REPORT COMMENTS

I have had this God awful skin condition for 3 years on my 4th Dermatologist. Nothing they have given. Me had helped control the itching or heal the sores it has ruined my life i have literally sat in my bedroon scratching and applying ointments and lotions to help with the itch for 11 hours and i still itched please do some much needed research and find a cure for so many of us that suffer endlessly from this Devil skin disease. Have had long straight scratch marks from this.Shedding drops from nose and belly button.Creatures are on body and in environment.Seem to be able to travel in air as people around me are sneezing and coughing. bites appear. Gets under finger nails.Black pepper like particles appear on skin, often with short trail Can get on computer keyboard and can sometimes make severe attack-deep straight parallell scratches on hand after using infected computer.very contagious at that stage. same pattern appeared on someone else and transferred to my leg with contact.Damage appears very suddenly and quickly. Very severe attack.Can cause bleeding without any pain or notice of cut around scratches sometimes.Hard to get rid of gets on everything noticed stains on floor, around computer and electronic cables.In cracks of floor tiles.Tried to take a sample with a scalpel from a scratch line with pepper particle and wound up with rash in the area that hasn't gone away.This is a nasty bug and does damage that is remarkable as it seems to be very tiny and maybe basically almost microscopic.also seems too have affinity for CO2 as it heads for nose and causes itching inside nostrils where it causes sores.I feel that DDT would possibly have helped with this, as I have sprayed several times at great expense- more than a thousand dollars and the pyrethrins are not effective at all.REPORT COMMENTS

This has been an ongoing issue for me and my fiancƩ. We are on round two of this illness and had to be seen by one urgent care and two hospitals five different times just to get some relief. We were treated horribly by some of the Doctors treating us which told us both we didn't have anything wrong with us, but yet they wouldn't even come near us for fear of catching what we supposedly didn't have. I have been suffering since July 2014, I have learned how to manage my symptoms. When I first got sick I went to see my nurse PA , I was humiliated and hurt by the way I was treated. She suggested that seek mental help, and she was booked up the last two time I tried to make an appointment to see her .She abandoned me .I don't know why she was so quick to dismiss me a mentally Ill I had been a patient of hers for a long time and she had my medical history from my previous. Doctor . She should of taken in account that I hadn't had a history of mental illness , nor was I a liar . I am not delousional,I was almost killed in an Er because they didn't listen when I told them that I'd already taken my meds that day!! I guess they thought i was delousional too after 2 other humiliating experiences at ER'S I figured out that I am better off not seeking help from medical personal ,because all they have manage to do is hurt me more . As a healthcare provider I can say that in 20 years I've never seem anything that compares to this. I've been involved in support groups and the numbers are growing daily.
