My ex wife gets more of my check than i do for 1 child. She does not work in fact she married to keep from working. I also pay half of his medication and medical bills she personally pays for nothing to raise him. Instead she married to keep from helping support him and if I get behind she calls me a lazy good for nothing bum and says I don't deserve tonsee my son. We need stricter laws like make them show receipts for what they spend it on. I don't care if it is a mom or dad who has custody unless they are disabled and cannot work they should have to work and provide as well as the non custodial parent I also believe that unless the other parent is causing harm to the child it should be joint custody across the board, no parent should ever have sole custody unless they are harmful to the child....We need to stop these parents from taking everything. -

There are just as many bad mothers as there are father's why shouldn't the laws reflect that. Even when men want to be in their childs life and the mother is constantly neglecting the child and abusing her influence as a mother The men are told that their money is more important than their time. I over paid by 5,640.38 cant get it back. Than can't sue indulengence because they have immunity to law sueds. Instead of sending the check for over payment to me they send it to her and has no way of paying it back she classified as uncollectable. Than two lawyers said you can't sue city hall . I love my boyfriend (now fiance). I love his son. I like his birth mother and her now husband. We all get along quite well and even attend each others family parties, etc. That said, child support laws are extremely unfair and really don't make much sense so BM and BF decided to go to a mediator and worked out BFs child support payments to be a little less (but still a bit much, imo). They have 50/50 custody... so why would either of them have to pay the other anything? It really kills us to see BM and her husband owning a home, having a $15k wedding, and then buying new cars immediately after. They always have brand new, big name brand things like clothes, shoes, etc... meanwhile BF and I have to decide what bills we can afford to pay every month and are always living paycheck to paycheck and can hardly save anything for our own wedding/life in general. Sometimes we cant even afford groceries. I really like having a nice, loving relationship with everyone but it literally brings me to tears when I see them living so nicely and we're still paying BM hundreds a month... We are still paying for the childs' things at our house (clothes, food, rent, etc) I really do not understand 50/50 custody with child support going one way nor do I understand the excessively high amounts that some people have to pay. I feel that in Kansas the child support laws are ridiculous. I don't like the fact that they can use VA disibility as income even when if from before you were married. The state should take look at the facts of the divorce if there was one. Also feel that it you are paying child support you should have the right to see your child and those rights should be enforced by law enforcement. In the matter of joint custody. The residential parent should not be able to keep or control the parenting time wether the other parent lives in the state or not. A parent should not feel like if he/she moves to another state that he/she won't ever get to see their child do to the way the state outlines the parenting time laws. I live in pa close to gettysburg, i recived child support papers from a girls mother i dated 7 years ago. I found out she lost custody 4 years ago to drug charges, her and grandma lied to the state and said they didnt know who or where i was. Then last year she gets more charges and lose other child to grandma, so she filles for welfare and cash assistance and they seem to remember who and where i am then. I pay 100% support even though his mother lives in the same house and also pay support for him, so thats over 100% support being paid on one child, doest seem right to me. I pay 1000k dollars a month which is over half my income and i have a 3 year old and a wife to support, i cant pay my electric, my 3 year olds health insurance, and my car payment, or bills such as vechile maintiance or medical bills and live pay check to pay check. I can not continue on like this and whdn i talk to my confrence officer im told there is nothing he can do, and i have gone to court 2 times in the last year and owe my attorney close to 2k in bills. The worset part is my ex lives with her mother and hasnt worked since i started paying support, he is supposed to go to day care which is 350 of my 1000k and she personally told me she drops him off and picks him up from school every day, which means they are pocketing the day care funds which is frud, he also goes to private school and they are both on walfare, i on the other hand have no funds to start my 3 year old in pre school. I can not continue on like this, i work as a assistant store manager for a welk known grocery chain so taking care of my self shouldnt be a issue. I tried to get food and health assistance but was told i make to much since they look at my before support income. Also they have done everything in there power to stop me from meeting him, and they are harrasing my wife and myself on social medi with fake profiles. Something needs to me done, fathers should have more rights, it is time for these laws to change. If grandma lied to take full custody she should be held fiancally liable and if she doesnt want to then i should recive full custody, i am his father i am hard working family man with no criminal record.REPORT COMMENTS

I raised my oldest son without the help from his mom for 11yrs. I'm quite sure she was receiving benefits for him. All while I went through years of death ears with court system. Even though it was the department of children and family services that addressed me with the issue of having him live with me because they had an open case with his mom. The courts did not honor any official or notarized documents or paper work I presented. He's 21 now with a kid of his own and I'm still paying child support! I think it's ridiculous that I have to pay taxes for the state to give the children's mom's representation, and leave the father's to pay additional money for representation, or represent my self against a system that's against me, and that already know that I'm more than likely lacking in knowledge of made up process. I am sure most fathers who pay support welcome it but when times are hard and money does not come in abundance it is very difficult to pay ones court ordered payment. The court system does not help by INCARCERATING THE PARENT. It is a total loss for the paying parent because jailing him/her only worsens the situation. Arrears rise and the parent is locked up....HOW IS THAT PERZON GOING TO PAY!!!!!! Then this person may end up losing his house car and JOB!!!!!!!! WHERE IS THE GAIN IN THIS TYPE OF PUNISHMENT? I have already been incarcerated once for falling behind arisit put me behind 3 more month of support. Luckily i did not lose my apartment. The child support system is unlawful and infringes on our rights as an extortion. The child support system does not exist for the betterment of children and families but to drive a wedge in between the mother and father and the child. I watched a judge tell a guy who told the judge he lost his job 6 months before the case and has been looking for work that; "I pay my child support on time and regularly... that's not excuse" and ordered the bailiff to detain the young man. If the dad has no rights to the child or custody then why TF is he forced to pay child support? This is extortion!!!
