"Stay at home mommies" that drag fathers to court on a monthly basis are the absolute scum of the earth and an embarrassment to women everywhere. We fought so hard for our rights to be equal in this country and there's these wastes that contradict everything we've worked for. Put these women in jail for not supporting their own children. -

Child support doesn't care about men and their new family and children. The child support system been broken for so many years and no care enough to fix the problems. Many women are abusing the system just because of gender right corrupted by the system. Many men and their new family are struggling to get by due to the unfairness crazy child support garnishment. i feel that the child support laws are outrageous. its set up to where the parent that's paying the support has to bow down to the re sever and make there life harder because of self feelings and forgetting there is a child involved..its got so bad to where now they could use your pic one your social media page to have the judge think you getting more money and its sad because the judge go with it instead of looking at your income. i can go in for days about how the child support laws are so f**** up ...REPORT COMMENTS

Child support laws are unfair. I am a working mother who is going through a divorce. My husband is living with his mother and she takes care of all of his expenses. I make more money than he does so I am expected to pay him child support while trying to support myself on my own. I tried to take my child's mother (lemecca n.horges )to court to get my rights and since she lied and told them that she stays out of town they dropped the case! But then she got mad @ me and then pursued the support and they sent me a letter stating that I will go to jail if I didn't show up! Why is it that child support is designed to make mothers more dominant and to also discourage the fathers of our responsibility as being a part of a family? Now the children of this century runs around killing ,robbing and without any means of respect! What child support fells to realize is that once kids get a certain age they start looking for a male figure to look up to! And if the dad's not there then they will look for someone else! Another thing is that child support spoils the mothers making them venerable to not wanting to go and get jobs! Because it's easy to live off of children!REPORT COMMENTS

I agree, child support laws are unfair. Both parents should be responsible. Parents should be sent to discipline classes to work together to accommodate the child. Not fight one another on how much money they should receive. It is ridiculous and unfair. I am a mother of 2 and I know how hard is it to make ends meet. I work hand and hand with my kids father because it is not about us, but the well being of our children. Something many laws & system fail to see. I just had court today. While the system does take child support from my paycheck, I have paid her directly in the past at her request. I am a union construction worker. So changing companies is common. In the time it takes the state to take it from my check I pay directly and put in the memo section child support. Well when I went to court today and the judge said no those are gifts. She said with that being said I owe $127,800 as if I have never paid. But I have paid. She wouldn't even look at the receipts. I have 50/50 legal and physical custody of my children.Before the break up my children live with me full time.Now I have to pay child support I am 95 percent responsible for the children financially. I take care of my son, while my ex sits at home collecting my money. She sits there and lives like a queen, not worrying about the next $500.00 she spends while I sit at home worrying about how I'm going to get the next meal on the table for my kids. I would love to get a better paying job, but if I did then I'd just have to pay in more. I think unfair how the woman in child support get away with getting so much money from a father if the father is present. I used to have a job that really didn't pay much and I went to school and worked very hard to get a better paying job. Now that I have a better paying job the courts take away more money from because the mother makes less than me. I have always been present and spent what ever time I have available to be in my childs life. I think it's unfair and when I see my daughter she's dressed so poorly. It's upsetting because I don't even know if that money goes towards my daughter. Her mother now makes more than me because of the money I am ordered by the courts to pay.REPORT COMMENTS

It is obvious that there is something incredibly wrong with our legal system. It is a reflection of our entire governmental system. The government is to work for the people and to do it fairly and in an unbiased way. What is going on in the family court is treason as the court system does not adhere to the supreme law , but in fact imposes whatever it desires based on the will of the judge not case law or constitutional law. It is why in some cases the mother is getting abused by her own county/state/government and in the vast majority it is the fathers who suffer the same fate. It has been proven that it is in the best interests of the child/children to have both parents in their lives an equal amount of the time. Only in rare cases such as severe neglect or abuse would it not be. There would be no need for massive amounts of monies to be paid out to either spouse as each would have to cover their fair portion when the child was in their care. Moderate adjustments for a short period of time when one spouse had spent more time as care taker and would need a little time to acquire the means to make an income that would cover the needs of the children during their custodial time. As a whole this would end the bias that is going on and stop the money making machine that profits off the damaged children it is creating and the broken families and destroyed parents it leaves in its wake. There is far too much room for manipulation the way family court is laid out and that room for movement is where corruption lies in wait for its next victim. I am a grandparent who lost my grandchildren ,because the mother was able to get away with cutting all ties to our family while still getting her child support. Dad was cut out totally. She was to give reasonable visits. The word reasonable is ambiguous and leaves it up to personal interpretation as to what is reasonable...in this case no visits according to her judgement. When the court finally stepped in they told my son he could skype his children. No physical contact. They took away his parental rights. Finally she pressed him to let her new man adopt the children. My son agreed as he had no visitation with his children anyway . Her attorney promised all back debt would go away and wrote documents that made it appear the case was to be closed and that no one would go after the debt. That did not happen. The legal system is responsible for the family it has destroyed and destroy our family it has. It has left my son a shadow of the person he once was and stole precious gems from our family. Not my country. I am not sure what this place I am living in is , but is for sure not the land of the free and home of the brave it is suppose to be. It is the land of the slaves home of the corrupt.REPORT COMMENTS

My ex wife filed for child support while we were still legally married but separated., in order to receive medical benefits during her pregnancy from another partner. Before child suport was filed against me I would pay for everything my daughter needed plus I gave her 300 dollars a month on top of that. Now the court grants her 724 dollars a month cause of my income plus she gets medical benefits for the child from another person, while she just sits at home not doing nothing instead of getting a job. I'm so tired this crap. No wonder you see all this cases out there on the news when father's go crazy and do something insane out of anger and frustration.. our government is destroying our lives and relationships with our families.. Child support is unfair and being put in jail for not being able to pay is wrong. Mothers use this system to keep the men who wants to be father's out of the child/children life. These mother's also use this system to inflict revenge of father's who either moved on to a positive relationships while they are still repeating the same kind of relationship that some of these father's have moved away from. Some women know that the state will give them support based on how many children they have. Granting child support orders should be left up to family courts and it should gather facts on the parents relationship to understand what went wrong, why it went wrong and who if any is to blame of why that parent moved on in that relationship. Locking someone up for non payment of child support is counter productive. What needs to happen is that the parents should have shared custody because raising a child is not about the material things that one can provide; it's about the emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of the child. I hear society saying that these kids need there father's in their life especially these young men. So I ask this question: How can a man be a father to his child/ children if the mother's are using child support as a tool to keep father out of their children's life. I hear it all the time "Pay your child support and then I'll think about letting you see your child" to often. After i left my ex for cheating i lost my house, a good friend took me in as my ex abandoned him with me. I worked at mcdonalds because jobs where hard to come by. I took care of him for 6 months with no support besides a roof, by now fiance helped take care of him for 3 of those months until the ex came and swooped him up.... I didnt see him for months, no contact. We finally got our own house and i recieved my cdl. He was brought back finally mon-fri 2pm to 10pm most of which my fiance helped take care due to me being at work. 1 year later she stops bring him and i move 15 mins away... 4 months go by where i cant contact except my mother for which my ex saw fit to watch him while she went out to get drunk, I get a court notice about child support. The state of Illinois refuses to listen to a single word and decide 380 a month is ok. After bills, food, clothes for my daughter and toy my son never sees i am broken. 2 months go by and were in current time, my exs convict brother gives my 2 year old son a .22 rifle under the supervision of the grandma who has him 9 times out of ten. He pulls the trigger killing his 7 year old niece. The grandma and brother both walk and hes continuing to spend most his time at grandmas. No one at dcfs will listen, i cant afford a lawyer, im not allowed to see him... How is any of this legal? I just want my son and for his drug addict mother not to recieve most of my checks.
