Teachers are being penalized by what is called a "Windfall Exclusion Act" if they worked and paid in full to SS BEFORE hiring on. I earned FULL benefits from SS, how is that a windfall??? Yet our money is being sent to foreign countries to support education, health matters, and housing, etc....REPORT COMMENTS

Those teachers who have paid into the system while employed outside of the school systems, or have spruces who have paid into the system should be entitled to the same benefits as anyone else. To think that a spouse who has never worked is entitled to half the benefit their husband or wife, but if that spouse teaches there is no benefit. Spruces married to teachers pay the same into the system as anyone else but as a couple receive one third less benefits. Totally unfair.REPORT COMMENTS
