That means protect life and property, while giving the benefit of the doubt. 88% did it. 22% are innocent. We must protect the least of the breather from the most vicious of predators, the dishonest spouse. Going through this right now as I await a "Final Protective Order Hearing" based on a false allegation my wife made the day after she "happened" to see me at a lawyer's office where I was filing for divorce. I was forced to miss my youngest daughter's birthday this past weekend, and was not permitted to even call her or mail a birthday card. I sat by myself in a room and sang "Happy Birthday" out loud, hoping that somehow God would let her know I love her and wish I was there to celebrate her life. I really miss my kids.REPORT COMMENTS

I think not. Truly violent people will ignore such trivia as a piece of paper! Yet, without one shred of evidence a judge will put his/her signature on a paper full of lies thereby setting up a chain of events to destroy another person's life. This outrage must stop! This is so true. This happened to my son. His wife simply said that he was violent and she was able to get a restraining order. This had dire consequences when it came time for him to have residential custody of his only child. When a family is going through a crisis they should be supported. I feel that law ennforcement has lost their common sense when addressing cases of DV. States are encouraged to maintain a certain quota to continue receiving federal funding. Prosecutors are just following protocols no matter what the circumstances are.
