I let my girlfriend move in with me so she had a place to stay for free. after a few months she started arguing, fighting and even get physical with me. I asked her to start saving her money and looking for her own place. she refused. when I finally told her I consider taking the legal course of action to get her removed from my place she called a police on me lying that I choked her and hit her. she has caused me tremendous damage, made me lose my liberties. and I'm yet to find out if I face even jail time for a violent act I have never committed. I condemn domestic violence from my heart but is innocent men's lives the price of protecting those women in REAL DANGER?REPORT COMMENTS

My daughter who has been 18 since Jan 9 .ran out her window and took all her stuff and I didn't know she went to leave with a boyfriend she's only know 4 months so she took her father for one and the reason she didn't want to go to school and wanted to leave with her boyfriend and we never went to the door we begged her on his phone to come home she wouldn't reply and for just wanting to best for her we get this .I never told her no to her boyfriend just tell me when you leave were your going and what time your coming home .he was here from lunch to wee hours into the night .and I think she's using this as away to keep us from saying baby just go to college then move in with him .so they took my husband's guns his permits. When I first got my divorce I went almost 2 years without seeing my boys because of a domestic violence order my ex had gotten against me. I finally gotten my visitation back and was paying my child support up well when my father passed away I came into inheritance I paid all my child support up. I had given her money to buy gas to bring my kids to meet me half which was court ordered I bought bedsfr my kids swing set trampoline and stuff she needed for the house because of my kids. She would always cut my visitations short and the last time I seen my kids was in June of 2014 when she called wanting them bac 2 1\2 weeks early of my 4 week visitation, I was suppose to have gotten them back on July 18th to make up the time I lost in June, well I knew something was up when I never heard from her especially when she didn't text my wife asking about child support. In the early morning hours at 1:00 a.m. there was a knock at my door and two officers standing there to serve me with a dvo, stating my six year old son said I made statements about harming my ex and her family 1. The statement was never made 2. If I had said it and scared my child by saying why didn't he tell her the day she picked my boys up instead of waiting almost 4 weeks and then tell his doctor and not her. I had stopped giving her money and that's when my troubles started I was always on time with my child support payments every month. Well I decided if I couldn't see my kids she would get no money to set at home and live off our kids. When we went to court I was put on supervised visits with my kids, I had to drive almost 3 hours to get to see my boys for 1 hour well I had the dcbs office do background checks on everyone my kids are around and they did and found out the man she had been with for over 3 years and married is a registered sex offender and she knew he was. They removed him from the home for 45 days til the done an investigation and she had admitted in open court that if he could not live in her home with them that she would move to a state where he could be around kids. She had an indictment pulled up on me over an old charge that happened over 3 years ago and I hadn't had so much as a speeding ticket since then I stayed out of trouble cleaned my act up and was doing good I remarried and everything and I gotten put on home incarceration for 3 months and the judge told me if I didn't make payments the three months I was on it I would go to jail for 90 days and no way of getting out to make money to pay it. She hasn't done this once but twice at manipulating the system against me to get what she wants, and now my kids are with her and a pedophile I know nothing about and the state I live in are letting it happen saying im a threat to my kids! I love and miss my two boys terribly I miss playing video games with them going to the movies taking them fishing playing basketball with him I've had another year of them being out of my life that I can't get back all because her olREPORT COMMENTS

A lie detector test should be administered on both parties. The false accusation of a DVRO can destroy a mans life. There is a real need for DVRO's when there is a threat of actual abuse or harm. However, it is abused by women in an effort to gain favor with the court in regard to child custody and the divorce process in general. Whoever files the DVRO first will win. I am currently battling such a situation. I don't even know why I am in this situation. My wife abruptly stated I harmed her months ago and the cops carried me off. I am now fighting a felony level domestic violence charge. I have never had any criminal history and am deathly afraid of the justice system as all she had to do was make a statement with no evidence (as there was none). I still don't even know why my wife carried out such an insane action. This is a terrible misuse of laws that were created to protect legitimately abused women and children. It is disgusting how women have realized that by simply making a claim of domestic violence and filing for a protective order (which is free to obtain), they can take the children from the relationship and destroy the man's life, literally. This is happening to my son. He was in a 9 year relationship with a woman with 2 children from a previous unmarried relationship. They had a son together who will be 7 years old in June. He also has one child from a previously relationship. She did not work for almost all of the time they were together and they lived together as a family. She did not receive, nor had ever applied for, child support from her other two children. She said "I have too much pride" even though the father of those children (both boys) is actively involved in their lives. My son supported the family for all but six months of the relationship when he was laid off and facing a medical issue. With only one income, they struggled financially over the years. She would complain that she wanted new furniture and money to spend on herself. She was emotionally abusive to him and if things didn't go the way she wanted, she would give him the silent treatment for days/weeks at a time. I myself witnessed her yelling at the children and in fact noticed on numerous occasions that she never showed any affection toward the children. He should have terminated the relationship sooner, but he wanted to make it work as their were four children involved. She would threaten constantly that she was leaving him and that it was over and finally, after almost nine years of these threats, he told her okay, go, it's over. Basically he called her bluff as he was tired of being treated this way. It took her over a week to move out and during that entire week, she would slam things around, mutter hateful things under her breath (including filthy obscenities). Finally, she left one afternoon, taking every photograph of their son, went to their son's school and picked him up and my son found out from his other son when he arrived home from school. He said my brother doesn't go to my school anymore. When she left the home, the last thing she said to my son was "I'm going to ruin your life. You won't have a job, you won't have friends, you won't have family, you won't have money, you will have nothing." My son was an assistant coach of his son's baseball team and after she moved out and after she filed for protection, she would bring their son to practice. My grandson would sit in the bleachers with my son and the other parents and children and she would sit on the opposite side frowning and muttering. She would text my son terrible things when he would text or call to speak to his son. When my son asked my grandson at a practice one afternoon if he wanted to come over and visit he and his brother after school soon, my grandson replied that "I cREPORT COMMENTS

I am currently fighting for my freedom. My wife suffers from serious mental issues, and has made numerous false police reports. After gently suggesting that she consider in-patient treatment, she must have punched something and bruised her hand. I don't know what she punched, but I do know that she called the police and claimed everything from rape to child abuse. I spent a month in a lockup with astronomical bail. Well, now she has slipped up in her lies, and most of the case has been dropped, but there is a bruise. If you're reading this, take my advice, and make sure than any false police reports are documented as false calls, no matter how trivial they seem at the time. Some of you don't even want to be mom's to your children-it's too much work. You were hoping your husband would take care of you and the children. How do you get out of this and go back home to your mommy or daddy? You lie!!! You claim you were abused-you want pity. But what you don't realize is that you do have to work, and if you have kids and your husband was in school and a full time Dad you pay the Alimony and the Child Support. That's right! That is what women's rights is all about - equality! If you want to behave like a lazy husband and father that's up to you - but that is what you are doing. If you want to add cheating to your spouse then do it - it doesn't matter you can't hide from your responsibility. And to add blame on someone else - serioiusly? I am neither victim nor accused... But, I believe, as a 100% American Citizen, that there should be a hefty penalty/arrest to anyone that falsely accuses somebody of Domestic Violence. Especially if the person that called is not even in the vicinity and makes up such a story. How can you be 10 miles away and say that you saw someone's husband pointing a gun at his wife and get away with it. This should be perjury and that person should be arrested and serve jail time for lying. This is lying and should be against the law...!!!! What kind of system do we have? This is the United States of America..!!! Not the United States of getting away with a crime..!!! So, in short, this law of Domestic Violence can be used in revenge on an innocent person and the one who called (not wife, but a 3rd party and not even in the same house but 10 miles away) can get away Scott free...!!! My opinion is wow..!! No further investigation on the person who called..!! That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard..!!! Something needs to change with this one..!!! It seems that you are automatically treated like a criminal as soon as the police officers enter your home on a Domestic a Violence call when there is no demos rice violence going on...!!!
