This is a SERIOUS issue ! When a woman makes an accusation of rape, for example, she is automatically believed and the accused is assumed guilty. This is due to the misconception that women are weaker and ALWAYS victims, while men are stronger and ALWAYS criminals.This idea is counterproductive towards women's equality.Since women are equal to men, why are they always the "victim" ? This unfair biased in favor of women gives women too much power. Women know this and use the law as a weapon . It is this power that women have that is responsible for the division between the sexes and a drastic drop in marriages.More and more men are avoiding marriage(and women altogether) out of fear of incarceration from a false accusation.Women who make false accusations are rarely ever punished for doing so.Ruining a man's future and reputation by means of a false accusation should be a crime.The punishment should be whatever punishment the accused would have faced had he been found guilty.If more egalitarian laws were in place , one would seriously reconsider making a false accusation.Unbiased laws are greatly needed not only regarding false accusations, but across the spectrum of laws, esp. regarding divorce/custody . The current system makes the United States a dangerous place for a heterosexual man.REPORT COMMENTS

It is always important to investigate claims and to be meticulous with each investigation. To grant false accusations immunity from any punishment is not helpful for the falsely accused or for genuine victims of crime. By not prosecuting and pursuing those that make false allegations, we as a society set this inappropriate precedent that accusations made in a bad faith will not be accounted for, thus only encouraging further instances of false allegations to occur. If there is no accountability for this crime, it will only lead to more victims of false accusations without lowering the occurrences of other crimes.REPORT COMMENTS

I lost my wife & best friend when she was off major medication for Bipolar disorder. Her ultra possessive Mother manipulated new medications & the biased system against me as I was falsely accused of DV after I was that told my wife wasn't allowed to drive on her own under ANY circumstances. My wife went for the keys.. Hurt me but no investigation was done to exonerate my name or save our marriage as the same female officer who knew of my wife's condition a month before when I took my wife home for help conveniently left out her being Bipolar or off meds to write a very sloppy narrative supplement... The family were allowed to illegally ranrack my apartment & steel things twice. I was NEVER charged nor convicted with DV but certain third parties stepped in to make money off of my ignorance in not knowing my basic rights had or were to violated in every way,shape & form. The VAWA is unconstitutional. Our system in desperate need of MAJOR reformation. Thanks to OJ Simpson whoever calls the police.. The female is ALWAYS the "victim". System is badly saturated MANY DV cases go in investigated as attorneys,judges & magistrates applaud divorce & making money over reconciliation or attempting peace to restore Christian marriages. My life ruined now as I can't find work falsely accused with background checks labeling me.. Third female attorney worked pro bono to smooth things out for me after wrongful divorce but I am VERY heartbroken & confused. I am a victim of my wife's mental illness.. Her Mother & family manipulation of the system to cover up her abuse of my wife.. I am a scapegoat suffering from the families sins in favoring that Mother over our God who brought us together to be better than where we are divorced in great sin apart.REPORT COMMENTS

False accusations have been used to ruin many lives with little penalty to those who make them. Many have spent years in prison because of them and little if anything is done to those who lied to put them there. False accusations would drop dramatically with one simple step....make false accusations punishable at the same degree as those they accused did or would have gotten. If one is wrongfully accused of a 1st degree felony, the accuser would also be charged with a 1st degree felony.REPORT COMMENTS

The ex-wife attempted to obtain a restraining order on me due to all my alimony reform advocacy. The then 18 year son also testified against me in court. Both claimed to be in fear and afraid. My wife and I have a YouTube video interviewed by the Florida Family Law Reform group. The ex complained about it and was obviously trying to muzzle our abolish lifetime alimony advocacy. On August 21, 2013 the judge ruled for Order of Dismissal of Temporary Injunction for Protection "The evidence presented is insufficient under Florida law". Yes there are abusive Men/Woman who don't tell the truth in Court. We need Judges and Lawyers to do what their paid to do not just throw the Citizens testimony out. Especially when it proves their innocents. We The People need to have our voices heard while in Family Court Their are criminals that get better representation then Citizen in your Family Courts. Please let everyone be heard and Laws change so the good Biological Parents get a fair hearing and give them more time with their children the children are suffering not really having rights. False allegations of sexual assault are more common than many think, and a women can get away with doing this for many reasons and she gets benefit out of that even if it is obvious that she rigged the scene and lied.
