Unmarried father's have no rights, but are expected to support the child they have no rights to. Doesn't make sense! We need change and we need it now!

I had the children, I'm aware of my responsibilities concerning them and their well-being, but why isn't the custodial parent obligated to show and prove that the funds are going directly to children and not custodial parents weave, boyfriends, girlfriends, drugs and partying. Seems childsupport is heavily invested in total the disruption of non custodial parents ability to live while supporting children in other home. They want the money but give no assistance concerning visitation. I'm willing to wager my life that a large majority of men would assume total responsibilities in the care of their child(ren) and not make the the woman pay out spite. The system is broken and does more harm than good concering the psychological damage it does to a child.

Because the childs mother is on welfare she is able to use a states attorney, and the State to increase the amount of child support I have to pay with out me even knowing until they take it from my check. My support started at $300 a month and over the last 10 years has increased to over $1100. Leaving me with $1,000 a month. I can't even afford to pay my rent or feed the children I have with my current wife. I am now forced to get a second job which means I will be working 20 hours a day. How is this fair, I have always paid child support, but now I am suffering because of it. While the children I am paying support for are buying brand new 2015 cars, motorcycles, they have brand new iPhone6S phones, and I can't even afford to buy food. Oh and the State of Illinios tells me to bad, it will take up to 6 months before they even look to review the amount. This is why good fathers become deadbeats they leave us with nothing.

The father of my child/Boyfriend is on child support for 2 of his other kids that the mother is keeping away from him. He have not seen his boys in over 2 years and he begged her to let him see them and she rejected him. Now she has him over paying child support and he can barely now take care of our 1 year old son we have together. Child support take about 75% of his income on 2 cases. I hope this goes through.

Child support should be based on both parents income, not just the noncustodial parent.

How about adding that arrears should be from day of discovery; not the day of birth. There are many instances where the "custodial" parent either doesn't know who the father really is and/or was found to be unfaithful during time of conception. This then requires a mutually agreed upon paternity test that in many cases take a year or more to complete, especially when they are "interstate" situations. Another point that I feel should be added is the compounding interest applied to the arrears. Which for many makes the debt impossible to pay back. People need to understand child support is not this "innocent/ perfect" thing. It is manipulated and used to blackmail and coherse the "non-custodial" parent into the will of the "custodial" parent. What happened to the abolishment of "debters prisons" was that not part of the purpose of this country?

I live in a small town in kentucky, my children mean more to me than anything, but there is definitley a disadvantage in my town when my support started the commowealth attorney that handled my case went to church with my ex grandmother the judge was her cousin and the ball kept rolling! I have years of complaints that I have bought fourth and nonthing has ever gotten me anywhere all they say if i dont like it get a lawyer who can afford a lawyer I was almost 200 short on a payment and ask for a week to bring it in and they told me to sell my vehicle, do what ever needed to be done but i had to have it by the next day. I live for my kids and do beyond childsupport but when the courts rape you and take away your ability to be a effective father or mother where do you go ? Ive left the court room so upset I was crying suicidal thoughts Ive even thought about just going in the court room blasting but where would that be good for my kids i just think God for giving me the strength to do my best to overcome the terrible thoughts that such a wicked and unjust system treats me!

I am getting plowed to take care of my family, my ex and her husband and step children, my second ex her non working husband, meanwhile having the children 50% of the time, carrying health care and paying all expenses. Meanwhile, no tax credits for me either. STOP THE EXTORTION OF MOTHER WELFARE!

First and foremost, can you please think about changing to laws on the child support guidelines. The money is truly for a good purpose, however it should also be treated like alimony, counted as income, taxed and the ability to receive a tax credit. Too often it used as a tool use to threaten the other party, we are force to life in fear. The child support system is broken, the custodial can still receive and benefit from food stamps, free health care, subsidized rent because the support is not counted as income. Yet, I can't eat, can't get health care so I would be able to keep a roof over my head. If I give up, its jail for me! Please help us out, just a tax credit would be nice...

A change in the tax laws need to be in place, if child support was taxed like alimony, it would be a much need break. Stop the FREE ride!

When women commit paternity fraud, they cheat their children, their partners and the real fathers; and yet so corrupt and desperate to win the female vote are many current-day politicians, that many western governments actually promote paternity fraud. Some 250,000 men in the USA are not the real fathers of the children that the mothers have purported them to be. They have been hoodwinked. However, as is customary nowadays, many politicians and judges seem completely unconcerned that men can be defrauded in this way with impunity even though the discovery that someone else is the father of 'their' children must be one of the most devastating psychological shocks that a man can experience. Nevertheless, in many parts of the western world the legal system has been so corrupted by its officials that judges can now force men who discover that they have been deceived with regard to their paternity to continue to pay child support for children who are not theirs, and to be compelled to do so for many years into the future. The bogus arguments in support of this blatant and utterly reprehensible piece of chicanery that treats such men as if they were utterly worthless and completely undeserving of any consideration at all, rest, as usual, on the fraudulent claim that the 'interest of the child' is best served by treating them in this atrocious manner.

Non-custodial parents still have to pay for the "roof over the child's head, food for the child, extra room for the child, etc." We don't see a penny of help for this. Please tell me how it costs 20% of my income, times two (because remember, the custodial parent is supposed to be contributing an equal amount), plus all of the expanses for food, clothes, shelter, that I pay during my time, PLUS daycare costs, extra curricular activies, and all medical expenses to raise ONE child. That is in Illinois, which is a net income based state. For shared income states, how is it fair for the higher paid parent to pay the difference in the two parent's incomes to the other parent to make up for the other parent's lower paying job just because they had a child together, and couldn't make their relationship work, like 50% of other parents? I'm sorry, but that's communism. The entire child support system needs to be reworked to be fair to both parents. The current system does not take any of what I just stated into account.
