Having lost my son six years ago I fully support the right of parents to use FMLA for the period of time after the death of their child. The weeks after such a tragedy are the most mentally and physically difficult for any parent to bear.REPORT COMMENTS

We also hold the loss of any child at any age - close to our hearts as our son, Ryan Thomas, died at 34 weeks in utero over 3 years ago. Any parent who has lost a child can and will undergo severe Post Traumatic stress and the broken heart not to mention the physical issues that occur after giving birth to a child who was born still. I am a Charter Member for NJ of Nationally known - the TEARS Foundation, and I am doing this in honor of my son's life no matter how long or short!REPORT COMMENTS
