I'm a caregiver of a Prostate Cancer Survivor (my Husband). He was given Lupron Shots, due to an increased PSA. We had no idea of all of this information about the Injection and had NO IDEA IT WAS CHEMO until we received His Bill (each Injection costing $1,500.00). He is a young man (50+) and is now experiencing SEVERE Hot Flashes, Night Sweats, Mood Swings, Achy Back, Clammy Skin, Boils around his Testicles. I'm watching my Husband suffer a great deal. I received my first shot one month ago for endometriosis. I was only told that I would have some menopause-like symptoms, mainly hot flashes. I could definitely deal with that, instead I have gotten NO hot flashes, but horrible cramps in my entire body. I had a headache for 2 weeks. What is terrifying to me is that my cramps and muscle spasms are getting worse, not better. How long until this poison is out if my system? If I had known all this about Lupron beforehand I would not have gotten it. I cannot believe my doctor would give me this shot with blatant disregard for my health. I don't think they know or even care about what this medicine truly is. I really can't wait until they call me to see why I didn't show for my appt. At minimum, Lupron victims should be able to collect disability for the destruction it has caused in our lives. I haven't been able to work in 9 years now due to the devastating effects of this Drug on my mind and body. Which we were never warned about. we were told we would have temporary menopausal symptoms that would pass once we were off of it. yea right! 9 years later I'm still a mess and very ill. Lupron is a POISON and NANO DRUG that permeates the cell membrane! loaded with mercury, lead, heavy metals. how can it be legal to inject this into human bodies when they remove lead from paint and mercury from amalgams due to toxicity? Now it's labeled a reproductive toxic-ant but it wasn't in 2001-2003 when they were giving it to me in maximum doses!
