Lupron, Leuprolide needs to be taken completely off the market immediately with out delay until "Protection Law" is implemented!

My daughter had the depot shot to help her with endometriosis. Since then she has had severe emotional problems, depression, etc. She stays nauseated all the time and is constantly in pain still. My doctor prescribed this drug telling my husband and I that it was safe and had very few side effects. I read about the side effects and spoke with him again, expressing concern for the number of adverse effects listed online and was told that I shouldn't believe what I read online. Well, 4 years and 4 more surgeries later, the joint pain I had before is crippling, I developed fibromyalgia that has made the chronic pain from the endo and adhesion disease even worse, bone pain, memory loss, and ovarian remnant syndrome from the surgeries required to treat the endo and cysts developed after Lupron was administered. It did nothing but take a life of pain and make it crippling and unbearable. Patients should be informed with correct side effect and adverse effect percentages and possibilities so that they can make informed decisions about their own treatment. Is there no patient right's in the United States, such as a right to choose their treatment from all available options with a doctor giving honest information on each option? No woman or man should have to "try" Lupron or risk losing their doctor. For me, Lupron has meant the rest of my life with not only be filled with more pain than before the shot was administered, but that I will have life-long complications including the possibility of more surgery and never-ending pain.REPORT COMMENTS

Lupron has not only ruined my physical abilities, but hundreds of thousands of women, and for what? Maybe a tiny bit of temporary relief, that is subjecting your entire hormone system to a form of CHEMOTHERAPY!! This needs to happen and all of us should file suit against TAP Pharma if you have any long standing issues. Long term research was not done, what research that was done has already been take to court and charges filed against doctors who forged patient information about Lupron... and all drugs like it, including Zoladex! My daughter was hospitalized for 10 days in 2007 after 1 Lupron shot (a 3 month dose). Our research later showed us we never should have gone this route. We know other women who have developed rheumatoid arthritis at a young age from Lupron, and others who developed pituitary problems. Doctors who are pushing Lupron on endometriosis patients are ignoring the data on the success of excision surgery and the dangers of Lupron. This drug should never be administered to women under the age of 25 (due to bone loss issues) and it is routinely being prescribed. This drug is dangerous.REPORT COMMENTS
