Lupron Depot RUINED my life. I have NEVER had cavities before that drug, and now I'm looking at total dental restoration, which will cost me tens of thousands of dollars. Call a spade a spade, FDA....a chemo drug is a chemo drug. Toxins are Toxins.

I took Lupron as a child for precocious puberty for about 4 or 5 years in the 1990's, and I am suffering a host of ailments to include insomnia, anxiety, depression, constant gnawing bone/joint pain, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease, blood disorders, and AML cancer.

I can't work because of Lupron. I have suicidal thoughts daily. I havnt slept a full 7 hours in months. I can only sleep 4 hours a night if I'm lucky. I'm constantly having anxiety attacks. My hands and feet go numb. My lower back hurts. I'm constantly weak and have difficulty breathing. My glands are always swollen. I have constant headaches. My vision goes blurry occasionally. I'm afraid I won't make it. I need help. This drug is not safe. I wish I never had these injections.

I had 2 injections of lupron in Feb and March 2011 for endometreosis. I immediately had blurred vision, ability to concentrate effected, weight gain and hair loss. 3 years later, I have gained a total of 16 lbs, regardless of healthy eating and exercise. My hair continues to fall out and it's not improving. I've spent hundreds of all natural remedies to no avail. Unfortunately, I havn't found a doctor that has been able to help me. I wish I could go back and reject the initial injections. The pain from the endometreosis never improved, which makes this all the more frustrating. I begged my ob-gyn to not prescribe this drug to anyone else...it has definitely impacted my life in a very negative way.

I am suffering from a plethora of conditions now at 44 that have been getting progressively worse over the last few years - degenerative disc disease, depression, bone/joint pain, kidney stones/pain, and now scleroderma, which is impacting my kidneys, lungs, and heart. I was on Lupron at 20 years old for severe endometriosis and had 10 injections.

I am 30 years old, I was diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 28 years old, by an emergency laproscopy surgery. I was rushed to the ER because of a ruptured ovarian cyst. Prior to this I had no serious medical history. After that surgery everything went downhill for me. I went to see a doctor for my pain that had returned. It was so severe that I had another surgery scheduled this time to burn off the lesions in my pelvic area. Post surgery numerous doctors advised that I take Lupron to keep the pain away, and advised me of no side effects even though I read about it on the internet. Doctor said not to believe everything I read online. I took the shot for 3 months and I regret it every day!! I am still in pain to this day, but this time its from the Lupron my feet and lower legs hurt sooo bad!! My life has changed so much all from this Lupron. I am so depressed still and in severe pain thats life changing. Please if your thinking about taking lupron DONT unless you want some sort of pain forever lingering...

I took Lupron while I was an egg donor and am leery of the long-term side effects. Ironically enough, I was told I needed exploratory surgery recently to confirm my diagnosis of endometriosis which would put me right back onto Lupron.

I had a hysterctomy one year ago, I had one ovary left which never stopped giving me problems. I was and still am in constant pain every day of my life. I was 26 years old when I had my surgery, a year later after going to er after er a doctor pretty much says lupron is my only option because she doesn't want to take my ovary that is left. I just want it out so I can be normal again. I was told my Endo was back and he lupron would "fix" my problems. It's only been a week since the shot and I'm three times as bad as I was to begin with. I can't stand to be around anyone my mood is terrible. I can't sleep. I'm still in so much pain that I'm actually heading to the er once again tonight, I just wish they would take this ovary out. I've had chest pains, and I'm afraid I may have a blood clot in my leg... My life has turned into a living hell....I feel so alone, until I read the many stories on here.

I am now approaching my 57th birthday on April 9th, it may as well be my 107th. After many years of infertility treatments with the drugs Lupron, Humegon, Progesterone Oil, HCG, Metrodin, birth control pills, Clomed and God only knows how many others over a period of approx. 7-10 yrs. I was lucky, at 41 I conceived, it was twins, at 4 months I lost 1 of the twins, at 29 weeks my water broke, at 30 weeks I delivered my miracle baby, Angelica Grace. She was 3 lbs 14 1/2 ozs and 18", her Apgar's were medium low, she had the cord wrapped around her 3X's and a 'true knot' (an actual slip through the loop knot) in the cord. She was apnec, a had barrier infection that they thought was Meningitis (which, thank God, it was not), however they never did find out what is was because they had neglected to send the placenta for testing. She had low blood sugar, grads 3 & 4 brain bleeds and Jaundice. We did not know if she'd make it. She was born in Boston, we live 35 miles away, she was kept in Boston for 11 days, it was so very hard to leave her there, but she was in the very best hands possible, New England Medical Center (now Tufts Univ. Med. Ctr.). On the 8th of April they surprised me by arranging to send her to our hospital as a birthday present for me and my husband (his b-day is 4/16). It was wonderful, but still touch and go, waiting for her to hit her milestones that would bring her home, which was 1st May. She has learning diabilities, very low social skills and function because her right brain is much less efficient then the left, which is not 100% either. She is turning 15 at the end of March, she is tall, fair, well structured and absolutely 'beagorgeous', (her Daddy's special name for her). We are truly, truly grateful to have been so richly blessed with our 'Miracle Baby'. But now, here I am 15 yrs later, with severe body pains 24/7, pains in my hips, fiery pain shooting down my leg, degenerative discs in L4 and L5 vertebrae, hair loss, perpetual hot flashes and sweats, some memory trouble, lumps popping up all over under the top layers of body tissue, I am going to be a 5 yr survivor of Uterine Cancer in Sept/2013. I suffer from depression and anxiety, I seem to have a lowish immune system, I am severely fatigued most of the time, I do not sleep well, I have gained ALOT of weight, I cannot work, I take a handful of pills each day, but I AM BLESSED! Had I known about these effects would I have gone through with it? Absolutely, positively, 100% YES!!! You see, sometimes, you have to reach way beyond the stars in order to fulfill your hearts desires and that means taking the good with the not so pleasant. God bless.

I received a one month Lupron Shot in Jan. 2013 for endometriosis. Horrible side effects were immediate, ranging from joint pain, a painful knot in my back that doesn't go away, memory loss, insomnia and irritability. None of these symptoms went away, even after the drug left my system. The pain is excruciating and the memory loss debilitating. This drug should be banned.

The only warning I was given was that my body would go into menopause and they symptoms would go away once I stopped the 6 month treatment. I ended having my fibroid removed(2.5cm) after my gynecologist informed me Lupron had failed at shrinking it. Within a few wks after surgery in Aug 11' I began having dull ache in my joints, mailnly my right hip and lower back. The Summer of 12' my internist ordered an MRI of both my Lumbar(lower spine) and my right hip. The results: I had developed a cyst on my tailbone and my right hip showed early signs of bone loss. I was devastated. I take Tramadol and Aleve 24/7 to relieve the pain, and wear a heating pad as well. But, the pain is always there. It's debilitated me, I feel useless, I can't work, I can't stand or sit for long, I have restless nights because I am beyond uncomfortable. I have no sympathy from my bf because he doesn't understand the constant chronic pain I live with. Had I been warned properly I would've rather lived with the pelvic pain and abnormal bleeding, but I was NEVER warned about the horrible long term effects, just the hot flashes and mood swings. I wasnt told I would suffer bones, much less chronic joint, bone pain. My hopes of having a child have been vanished forever. I am turning 40 in a few months and I have chronic, severe hip pain and my entire spine hurts 24/7. I have short memory loss, depression. I used to be such an outgoing, fun individual..and now I can't even take a few steps without my hip clicking and hurting so much. I cry all day. I used to love hiking, now I spend my days locked up at home because I can't get around like before. :-(

I was on this product for my prostate cancer for 12 months before I refused to take anymore. My short term memory is shot, I have hot flashes regularly, I have severe joint and foot pain, my eyesight has diminished, I am tired all the time, I have lost at least 50 % of my muscle mass. This drug is worse than the disease it is supposed to cure. Do not use it!
