I'm 23 suffering from stage 4 endometriosis. Because of the 6 month's I was on this poisonous chemotherapy drug I now have short term memory loss, depression, artheritis in my knees & wrists, chronic migraines, anemia, & am unable to work. Lupron is poison & needs to be explained that way! -

I was on Lupron twice in my high svhool years for endometriosis. One of those times I was on it for six months, the other time I was on it for over a year. It did cause the normal menopausal symptoms, which was bad enough in high school, but it also affected my mental health strongly. I still suffer from extreme deppression and anxiety. I also lost quite a bit of hair, and now about 20 years later i still have very very thinned hair. I do not even know which of my physical ailments are from Lupron, but I definitely believe that there should be some extensive studies done to learn about the possible side effects/ long term effects from this medication.REPORT COMMENTS

This drug needs to be taken off the market and its manufacturer needs to compensate those of us who listened to our doctors -- and will, unfortunately, be dealing with the monstrous damage for possibly the rest of our lives. I probably would have been better off if my doctor had given me a dose of rat poison.REPORT COMMENTS

I had two courses of Lupron from 2010- 2011 for severe endometriosis. First 6 month course I quit after 4 months from severe side effects, bone pain, muscle pain, head aches, nausea, hot flashes, severe depression and mood swings. Second 8 months course I quit after 6 months for the same reason. 2 years after I now suffer from constant unending pain, spinal problems, arthritis, fibromyalgia, nerve problems (including neurogenic bladder requiring interstim), short term memory loss and depression. I still have severe endometriosis and pelvic pain.REPORT COMMENTS

I took Lupron for 2 six month treatments for endo 17 years ago. I have Vit D deficiency, and bone pain. This drug should NOT be on the market! And as an aside, it does NOT cure endo!REPORT COMMENTS

Congress would be doing society a favor by banning this substance. Two rounds of six monthly shots; and five months after my last shot I am more miserable than before I started. I am a very petite 23 year old female with severe Endometriosis and my body has changed drastically. I see absolutely no improvement from the therapy for my endo, and the pain came back within 3 weeks. My once easily-maintained bone density has diminished. As my teeth are literally decaying from the inside out due to the harsh decay of my jaw bone. My skin has become old and uncontrollable. Aside from the depression from the physical side effects, my anxiety has sky rocketed and my mental health is not the same. I am greatly disappointed with this treatment. My doctor did not seem to be aware of the side effects of this ridiculous drug, and frankly didn't care. My life will be forever haunted by the physical and mental effects Lupron has caused.REPORT COMMENTS

I was given the Lupron injections for 6 months, it was the worst medication I have ever taken. My bones hurt, deep down inside. I had heart palpitations and trouble breathing, severe weight gain, extreme forgetfulness, hot flashes at all hours, depression, reduced and interrupted sleep, and violent mood swings that almost cost me my marriage. This drug was worse than the disease being treated, and all symptoms returned ten fold within a few months of stopping it. I ended up with a hysterectomy, which I should of had in the first place before my doctor pushed this horrible drug. The hysterectomy solved my disease, not this drug. This drug should be removed from the market! Overloading a woman's estrogen production until it stops altogether should not be on any list of successful medications!!REPORT COMMENTS
