My comment above didnt finish my story. But I am so thankful for everyone of you that shared your stories, the truths! Had it not been for me finding this page today while sitting in the drs office parking lot debating on weather or not to go in and get this shot, I would have done it but instead I told my son, I was goin to think this through some more and we pulled out. Im sure alot of you wish you would of made the decision to pull out the parking lot instead of getting injected with lupron. You guys are my hero's, you have saved a gullible person from succumbing to the life long terrible effects of lupron. You saved me! For that I am gratetful for each and everyone of you and your courage to tell the ugly truth about this drug. I pray for each and everyone of you. And again, I thank you! You changed one life by telling your story.. Mine!! Your a hero..REPORT COMMENTS

I am 34yrs old. I have had awful, heavy periods since I can remember. I had a miscarriage back in 2005 and had to have a DNC. I had a full term pregnancy in 2006. I had another miscarriage in 2011 and had to have another DNC. I constantly ache and have unbearable back pain right before, during and right after my period. I've had several ovarian cysts over the years. Had a 10cm one on my right ovary before and I started taking birth control pills and I guess they helped shrink the cyst down because that stabbing pain calmed but I still continued to have terrible painful periods. Well the birth control pills started causing my blood pressure to get high and gain so much weight so I quit taking them. Back in Nov 2013 I went to er for severe side pain that I thought was my appendix but turned out to be cysts on both ovaries. The one on the left was 6cm and the one on the right was 3cm. Well I followed up with my gyno and he set me up to do surgery to have cyst removed but my appt to do tge surgery wasnt until Jan 14th 2014. I suffered all through the holidays with abdominal pain. On Jan.3 I had a sudden onset on pain that got soo bad I couldn't stand or move. I was rushed to ER and they found the cyst on my left ovary had ruptured and was spewing blood into my abdomen. They discharged me from the hospital like that, I went home for a few hours and suffered in pain. I called my gyno soon as they opened and they told me to come in at 1pm. So my husband carrying me to and from the car and wheeling me into the place in a wheel chair, my gyno looked at the results from the hospital and said we needed to do surgery and possibly remove my ovary. So we had to go to another hospital and I went in for emergency surgery around 5pm on Fri Jan 4. When I woke up I had to stay over night on the hospital. The doctor said that I had one of the worst cases of endometreosis he'd ever seen. He said he was almost certain that is what caused both of my miscarriages and it was a miracle I ever got pregnant and was able to carry a baby at all. He said my female organs were mangled in a blob of endometreosis. He said it was impossible to remove just one ovary or cysts because of endometreosis was intwined with everything. He was only able to drain the cyst and clean all the blood out that was floating around in my abdomen. He said I would need a full hysterectomy to cure my pain. He said first, he would like me to get 2 lupron injections over a 6mo period so it would help my endometreosis pain and when we did do surgery it would lower my complications during surgery. I have major anxiety/panic attacks and depression and I am very funny about medicines and shots and the fear of what they will do to me, so I have been doing my own research on this lupron shot and everything I have found has been bad. It almost seems like something that just never goes away even after stopping the shot. I asked my doctor about possible side effects and he acted like they were nothing major atREPORT COMMENTS

Had three Lupron injections in 1992 when I was 32, trying to get pregnant. Since then have suffered premature menopause, with all of the symptoms, as well as osteoporosis, thoracic fractures, insomnia, memory loss, depression, degenerative disc disease, chronic joint and muscle pain, now diagnosed with fibromyalgia, the list goes on. Wish I had just dealt with the fibromas. I can't work in my career field and no one would help me to develop a disability case. Thank God I have a husband who has a good job!REPORT COMMENTS

It has been eight years since I received four Lupron injections. I had to stop the injections before the recommended six had been administered because of the severe hot flashes. I still have memory loss, anxiety, insomnia and I have premature aging, weight gain and hair loss. This drug should not be allowed on the market. I was too young to question the opinion of my physician but now I know that I should not have blindly agreed to this treatment. It has been devastating to have to live with the side effects of this drug.REPORT COMMENTS

I was suffering from Uterine Fibriod cysts between 2004-05. The doctor I was seeing at the time had me get a total of 4 depo lupron shots after being hospitalized over 4 times for rupturing cysts. That did not help at all. And I was finally able to find a surgeon who agreed that I needed a complete hysterectomy. My mother had the same problems when she was 39 also. About one year after the shots and hysterectomy my life collapsed! I attempted suicide twice and continue to fight depression and anxiety since 2006. I had never had any issues with my mental health prior to this infliction. I have several doctors tell me they believe it was the lupron that did me in! If there is a lawsuit, I will be honest, I would like some sort of payment. I can no longer hold a full-time job, my husband of 25 years left because he could no longer handle my situation, and my kids worry about me constantly. This year I have had to someone take over my finances because I can no longer handle them myself. I am better than I was in 2006, but this is now a part of my life and will never be totally healed! The manufacturers of Depo Lupron should be stopped! This drug never should have been allowed to be used! I do not want anyone else to suffer like I have from this medication.REPORT COMMENTS

I was given this drug 5 times in 2008 by my Dr to put me in menopause to stop Endometriosis. It did not work. However I also have tachycardia, high blood pressure, chills and hot flashes at night (menopause related still), dizziness, vitamin D deficiency, insomnia, memory loss, when I finally did get my period back 4 months after stopping Lupron my period didnt stop for 14 months and then I finally had to have a hysterectomy, unbearable migraines, weakened immune system and Fibromyalgia. I know I am forgeting things too. There is just too much to remember to list. I already had Interstitial Cystitis and Ankylosing Spondylitis so I didnt need any help with all the extra that Lupron has brought to the table. Besides the hot flashes and chills I get all the other menopause symptoms that most menopausal women get and it's no fun in your 30's. I have gained over 50lbs from the constant hunger that has come with this drug. I have no energy from my heart rate being so high and the fibro. I wake up feeling like I havent slept at all most days my joints and muscles ache all the time and feet feel like they are on fire. I want this drug off the market I do not want anyone else to go through all this. I really wish I could go back to the day I had my first shot and tell my old self "No!, Don't take the shot!! It's poison!! Will forever change your life, make it so much more worse than you could ever imagine!!!"Of course at that time I never would have thought that could be true. I was in so much pain I was like I will try anything!! Not knowing at all how much worse it could get!! If you are reading this thinking about trying Lupron dont!!! It is not reversable!!! It does not go away!!! The side effects are life altering!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

I got the Lupron shot done a month ago and I have felt worse than I did before I got the injection. I had both Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome before I got the shot and that was definitely a big concern of mine was how it would effect my prior conditions as well as if it would counteract the medicines I was taking for those conditions and was reassured by my doctor, and the manufacturer that it will not effect either. WRONG. The side effects from the Lupron Injection is exactly what my prior medical conditions symptoms were so all the injection did was intensify my prior medical conditions. On top of that, added more symptoms that I was never dealing with prior to having the injection (i.e headaches, back pain, lightheaded, memory loss, appetite loss) plus it intensified the pain I had prior to the injection. This Lupron Depot medicine needs to not exist. There are WAY to many people who suffer from this toxic drug and the manufacturers are either unaware or do not bother to inform patients of the side effects. This drug makes thing worse, not better!!REPORT COMMENTS

My sister recently had surgery for endometriosis and has been treated with Lupron since. She's miserable and has experience more side effects (i.e., dizziness, blurred vision, headaches, breast pain, etc.) from the drug, than she would if she dealt with post-op pain. Despite doctor's order to continue treatment, she has declined due to her misery. She's rather deal with the minimal post-op pain than the several different side effects.REPORT COMMENTS

I have taken Lupron for 3 months and told my physician "no more". I have blurred vision, dizzy spells, chest pain, tingling in my hands and arms, gained 7lbs, memory loss, sharp pain in my breasts, bad headaches (received a brain scan due to the pain) and joint pain everywhere just to treat my endometriosis. I'll take my endo systems over these side effects any day. I was offered another hormonal drug to replace this and declined. I'd rather deal with a bit of cramping and back pain.REPORT COMMENTS
