I took Lupron almost 18 years ago and I am now 51 years old. I am having several of the side affects that many others are having, especially the issue with breaking teeth. This medication needs to be banned. All of you are in my prayers. -

Yes, I had an effect of slurred speech that landed me in the ER. I only had two injection given to me by my Doctors office. I was unable to continue to the 3rd. and last injection of Lupron Depot 3.75. A year after that I was rear ended in an auto accident that left me with severe damages.REPORT COMMENTS

Yes I also was given (2) shots of lupron depot in 2004-2005 and today my body is not one I recognize. After reading some comments knowing that I have suffered with some of the same symptoms and no physician listening to my problems. I have been on hormone replacement therapy because of having no hormones. I also have lost a job because of not wanting to be around people. Now I'm facing diabeties I'm borderline however I eat clean and workout but the weight gain is constant. You really should outlaw this medication.REPORT COMMENTS

My doctor just recommended that I begin using this drug for treatment of uterine fibroids with severe anemia due to very heavy bleeding. I was given lupron injections for 3 years for precocious puberty till age 12. Now at 24 I suffer from tachycardia, anxiety, vitamin D, B and potassium and magnesium difficency. Also high blood pressure, general body pain, fibromyalgia, major depression, pcos and irregular menstrual cycles and other symptoms that the doctors can never figure out or understand why I'm so sick. I'm on 18 prescription medications and the list grows every year. This is an issue and the lupron drug needs to be investigated! There are too many coincidences among tooany women for this to be ignored any longer. They owe us explanations.REPORT COMMENTS

I was given 6 shots of Lupron 2005 to stop my abnormal bleeding. Since then I've had 2 ablations, seen a neurologist for headaches, memory loss and dizziness. In school, I was A.B honor roll and today it's hard for me to remember things. There's other symptoms I have that I didn't have before Lupron. 3 of 6 Lupron injections were administered to me back in approximately 2001. My life changed dramatically on day 1. I didn't want a second or a third injection but my Dr promised the side effects would go away. In 3 months time, 3 injections in, I gained over 70 pounds. The side effects everything under the sun, I experienced put me in great depression and I took medical leave from work because I simply couldn't stand to be in public, walking felt like a chore was like walking on bones. Face had gone numb, high blood pressure....... And still today, the symptoms continue. Hair loss, now diebetic, thyroid problems....... It's costing me my marriage and family. On day one. I never received ANY warnings. Not even a packet from my doctor. I specifically asked about weight gain and to my face was informed this would NOT cause weight gain. Anyway. There's so much to report. Feel free to contact me. There needs to be a stop to this drug and ppl need compensated for their LIFE. Care to put a dollar amount on someone's life? Mine is ruined. I'm losing everything, even after YEARS being off the drug. IT'S NEVER ENDING!!!!!! All our surgeries, medications, counseling, job loss etc.. we now have to take as a result of this drug should be paid for by YOU.REPORT COMMENTS

Long story short....i was givin 3 shots of lupron for endometiosis back in 1998 and have not ben the same since . I went thru a lit of crazy unexplained things right after my first shot . And dr said nit to worry it would all be out of my system in 3 to 6 months and i now have a pace maker since 2005. Yes i do belive it is all due to this lupron drug . And thanks to the tilt table test they found that every time i would faint my heart would stop for 15 seconds but i was very lucky my heart started beating on its own after ea time. Did this for 7 years i died way more than 20 times . There is to much to list of everything in between that i have ben thru because of it .REPORT COMMENTS

I am so thankful I trusted my instincts on not taking this medication, and researching it first. I can't begin to see the purpose of aiding one ailment but adding on any number of the common side effects listed for this med. Let alone the long term ones. And I wouldn't know about these issues and without all of you. I struggle daily with pain and felt this was my last resort. I've had an unsuccessful surgery and less than three months after, began with my pain and the agonizing symptoms. I wound up in the ER and then f/u with my doctor, who told me this is my only option. My doctor didn't mention anything about any symptoms or any of the dangers you put yourself in. I am appalled that a doctor of any kind wouldn't speak to you about any medications side effects, even if you don't question them. I will be eternally grateful for this petition and all of your stories and information your words are making a difference, if not by the law at least to people like me. So thank you all. And I will also be sure to keep this going and make more aware of the serious health conditions this drug causes. I'm praying for all who were hurt because of it.REPORT COMMENTS

I had Lupron injections for 12 months after being diagnosed with endometriosis. Had every symptom of menopause, some of which have never fully gone away, over a decade later. Severe Vit D deficiency several years ago. By far the worst part was after 4 injections I developed severe depression with psychotic elements and severe anxiety. The depression is managed but has never gone away; anxiety is a daily battle. "Brain fog" is an often an issue. Still have bouts of joint/overall body pain & severe fatigue. A couple of Rheumatology workups have shown some indicators of autoimmune disease but lab results have been "sub-clinical." Most recently, my eye dr suspects i have Sjogren's after years of chronic dry eye/blepharitis resistent to treatment. With chronic dry mouth & other symptoms I suspect that I do have this autoimmune disorder, but I after battling endo for 20 years and having had my symptoms dismissed by so many doctors, the idea of having another workup is overwhelming. Weary and untrusting of doctors in general. I realize endo itself could be responsible for many of these symptoms, but am concerned for my long-term health after taking Lupron for so long, and certainly concerned for the countless others who have had horrific experiences with this drug, and concerned countless others will be harmed by this drug. Had no idea there was no research into long-term safety/side effects when I used it. If I had known, or more importantly, been told by my doctor any of this, I would never have agreed to take it. Please investigate the side effects of this drug. I don't think it is safe, and from what I have read, studies are beginning to show this.REPORT COMMENTS

I'm currently applying after 6 years and 21 RN positions, not one lasted greater than 6 months because I had gone through Cancer ,3rd stage, had Aggressive and harming Chemotherapy agents which wreaked havoc on my memory, bones, painful joints, confusion, depression, and a loss of trust towards the Doctors who knowingly treat patients using LUPRON. At age 51, my body feels much older and so does my memory. I'm so sad 😢 hearing about this again. I KNOW my multiple job losses wasn't my fault today. My brain was affected greatly with this poison. I took Lupron by the adament direction of my OBGYN. I was given 3 shots over the period of 3 months, the last shot given in 10/2014, prior to a surgery. It is now mid-June 2015 and the side effects have not gone away, primarily memory loss and joint pain. The memory loss has impacted my life professionally to extremes I can't even put into words. My biggest fear is that these awful side effects will never go away, yet my OBGYN continues to tell me that they "should go away in a couple months". Well, times up!
